Briefing - New music, controller support and more!


Captains,



We've been hard at work on Zero-Point in recent weeks, and we have some updates to share with you about how things are going!

Firstly, check out this update to the Mercenary Star System theme by our great composer, bLiNd: https://x.com/ZeroPoint_Dev/status/1832096379872944353


We hope you like the updated melody! We've also revised the Main Theme and added some new boss music ready for the next update!




We've added controller support to all of the game's menus, and some - like the Ship Menu here - have been tweaked slightly. Some things are still being ironed out, but we hope you'll look forward to playing Zero-Point with a controller!




Lastly, performance has been another big point of focus recently - in fact, on one platform, we saw an incredible 800% boost in framerate!

While we're hard at work finishing everything up, there's something we'd like to ask you, Captains - how do you feel about Zero-Point's balance so far? If there are any particular parts of the game that you feel are too tricky or too easy, we'd love to hear from you!

Briefing - 10 days since launch! What's next for Zero-Point?

Wow, it's been 10 days since the Early Access launch of Zero-Point already! We hope you're having a blast so far!

In today's briefing, we want to bring you up to speed with what we've got planned next for Zero-Point!

We think it's a great fit for your desperate struggles against the GLF's elite hunter-assassin ship!




According to one of our polls on X, one of the features you guys are looking forward to the most is Missions!
There are 30 in all and these will be tied to Steam Achievements. We're going to prioritise working on getting these added for you to check out and complete!




We've also heard reports that heavy ships are making appearances in as early as the first system of a run, and that enemy ships might be a bit TOO strong currently.
That's not quite how we want things to go, so we'll be patching that and maybe making one or two difficulty tweaks soon!

Lastly, recently we've been hard at work on implementing controller support. We can't make any specific promises about that, but we hope it turns out well!

Zero-Point - Early Access Livestream with Studio Zero

We're thrilled to confirm that Zero-Point launched in Early Access on June 4th, 2024!

We're off to a great start and we really hope you've been having a blast making your way through the galaxy so far on your mission to save the Star Federation!

What's more, today - in just about an hour from now - we, the Zero-Point development team, are going live here on Steam to stream some gameplay and share some sneak peeks at what's next for Zero-Point!
