💀 Watch out for Elite Monsters! These vicious beasts have plenty of HP and deal extra damage, but the reward is worth it! Every elite drops rare loot and gives out ten times the experience. You can recognize Elites by their black glow.

Santa Claus is back in town! Visit Santa in Ellaria for your presents. And be sure to ask if he needs your help with something? Captain Nils in Bersund may also have a Christmas problem.
New Eidos
The beginner city Eidos has received a complete facelift with a focus on helping new players get introduced to the game! A new Beginner Tutorial will help players learn the basic mechanics of Zezenia Online and dispatch them on their adventure.
If you own a house in Eidos, don't worry: you will find your house items in your depot.
There are also various new quests to discover and solve around Eidos. Be sure to check out the Beginner Island just south of the city, no matter which level you are at!
We will continue to iterate on the beginner experience to make sure that Zezenia is more accessible to newcomers. This is the first step in improving one of the most important parts of the game and acquiring new players!
Party Up
Parties have received a major upgrade! You will now see your companions on the minimap, making sure you never get separated from your friends. Various other improvements are also in place: the party leader can now be reassigned, and party invites can be easily accepted from a popup window.
Stamina
You will find a new Stamina meter on your character, which refills every 24 hours. Every day, you will receive 50% more experience for approximately an hour of gameplay. And of course, this stacks with Experience Boost Scrolls for the most efficient hunts.
Spells and Balance
To begin correcting the imbalance between classes and subclasses particularly in PvM there have been numerous spell tweaks. Mages will notice new damage patterns on certain spells. Warlock and Shaman PvM damage formulas have been improved.
Rangers have received a long desired AoE spell, Hellish Volley, to liven up those party hunts, as well as reworked formulas for spell damage.
In addition, rangers have received their previous defending skill table back, while the melee skill table for mages has been weakened.
Last but not least, a number of spells have had their cooldown reduced to prevent hunt downtime.
Quality of Life
Many improvements and fixes have been made to everyday functions! Among other things:
- Heal, damage and loot messages are now placed in a new Log chat tab,
- Kill counters are now always visible, and will display the name of the NPC you are working for,
- Currently equipped items will no longer be considered for sale in NPC dialogs, Items can be dragged directly into hotkey slots,
- The chat box will no longer scroll down on a new message when browsing the backlog,
- Expensive dungeon tickets are no longer consumed for gold dungeons,
- Your health and mana points will now refill on Level Up as a reward for your hard work.

Discover Yafmel
Yafmel is a new village in northern Geltharia! Discover new quests to solve and fierce monsters to battle in the outskirts of the village. You can access Yafmel by boat from Ellaria and Caerfa.
Enter the Zezenia Lottery
For every 50 Challenge Points you gain until June 9th, you will receive a free ticket for the Challenge Point Lottery! Winners will be announced on June 15th. The rewards will be worthwhile!
New fishing and rares
Make use of new fishing rods and nets, and for the first time, fishing bait to catch rare fish, oysters and items from the waters! Rare items such as lost bags with potions and other items can be caught while fishing. Caught fish will now go into a dedicated fish bag.
Osvald & Thorvald challenges
As mentioned earlier, one of the priorities was to balance the tasks offered by Osvald and Thorvald. Given challenges have been rebalanced according to community feedback with a larger variety of available tasks. Above all, higly experienced players will be able to receive easy and medium tasks for a longer time. Additionally, the list of tasks has been updated by adding new monsters and items.
Performance improvements
The performance of the Zezenia client has been improved, and you should notice a higher frame rate. For the best performance on your computer, try toggling between Direct3D and OpenGL renderers in the settings. Further development to improve performance is ongoing.

Collect Challenge Points for rewards
By completing your daily training tasks from Osvald or Thorvald, you will receive Challenge Points, which can be exchanged for free items! Get free premium time, dungeon entrance tickets, experience boost scrolls, and more. The available items will change from time to time, so keep an eye out for seasonal rewards!
Premium Card changes
Premium Cards can now be exchanged for Premium Time Scrolls, Experience Boost Scrolls and Dungeon Entry Tickets in the Premium Shop. These items can be traded, and the more you buy at a time, the better the deal gets! For example, 90 days of premium time scrolls can be bought for 60 cards.
Ruthless Execution
Ruthless Execution is a new Rogue spell to finish off a dying opponent!
Critical Healing
Casting healing spells now has a chance of blessing you with a Critical Heal!
Quest Markers on the minimap
To help new players navigate Eidos, beginner quests are now indicated by a question mark on the minimap. Unsure of what to do next? Expand the map and check all the markers near you for hints.
And more
You will notice some changes to equipment as well! A new Physical Resistance stat has been introduced and many items now have additional/modified stats. Finally sell your quivers to the nearest merchant.
Currently active is a double kill task reward event, which means you will receive DOUBLE experience, gold or training (with regular exhaust) from all kill tasks completed before 30th November 7 AM UTC.
Furthermore, we released the major content update a couple weeks back. Included are several new quests, new monsters, new items and many new map areas. Additionally there are some changes to the task system, and a new brewable potion (experience potion).
