A new chapter for Zombie Spectre
We have been fairly quiet on Steam the past few months but we've been working tirelessly on Zombie Spectre in the background. Whilst Zombie Spectre transitions to Play and Earn on other platforms, the Steam version will be inheriting all updates from the other versions with a focus on fun mechanics and a deep story narrative.
We don't want Zombie Spectre to just be a zombie shooter. Over the coming months we plan on incorporating a marketplace and in game economy that span across multiple levels of a deeper narrative. Multidimensional space travel is the remit.
Soon we will be releasing a series of updates to the steam version of Zombie Spectre which will begin to transition the game to the next stage in it's development. The following schedule is planned for the coming releases.
April 2022 : Character refresh, new player abilities and third person view. The third person view will be available in game giving players the ability to move into different game play views to facilitate the coming puzzles and story narrative. This is a unique feature to Zombie Spectre and aims to provide a richer experience than the ubiquitous map views.
May 2022 : Environment refresh and larger maps. We are working on enriching the level environments for the PC version of zombie spectre. Zombie Spectre has lacked detail thus far. Certain challenges we face on the mobile versions of the game have held back the Steam version and although we have used this to optimise the game in general, we are now ready to incorporate some more advanced elements to make the Steam Version stand out.
June 2022 : New puzzle levels
We welcome all feedback from the Steam community and look forward to the next release.
Notifications update
The latest update includes notifications from the menu screens which allow us to bring the game narrative into the menu screens of the game. These notifications are driven by the actual game characters within base camp and from the next level. We are excited to see what we can do with this feature in the future. Perhaps we can taunt Spectre with messages from Kane (the evil physicist that is teleporting entangled zombies from another dimension).

Base camp update
After receiving a lot of feedback about the continuity of the game and as part of our ongoing work towards developing the narrative for Zombie Spectre, we have integrated the store screens and the loadout screens into the gameplay. Before each mission, you can now purchase and equip items from base camp. We have also added a shooting range where you can test out weapons that you equip before accepting new missions.
