Zombies Beyond Me

Update b2.0.1 Fix

Have a look on what is coming on this quickfix for the Beta 2.0.1 update:

- Added the option to create custom Peer-To-Peer servers on the menu. Now even if the matchmaking official servers are full, you can create or connect to a custom player server to play with.

OBS: But be cautious when creating a server, if you quit, everyone on the server will be disconnected too. Create a server only if you are certain that you are going to play, otherwise connect to another player server. Nobody likes to get disconnect on the middle of the game if you just aren't feeling to play on the moment.

- Fixed a bug on the voice connection channels.

The servers and game access will be available for some minutes for the update applying process.

The Servers are Overcrowded!

Since the launch of Zombies Beyond Me I did not expect such a large audience from all over the world.

Today Zombies Beyond Me hit the number of over 30,000 players with the game active on Steam. The problem is that the servers were not prepared for this.

The cost of game servers is not something that is cheap, and since the game is being developed and paid for out of the developer's own pocket, it turns out that there is not a very wide range of servers available.

I want you to know that I am doing everything possible to release new access to the game, and as soon as this happens you will be the first to know.

I will be working night and day throughout today to be able to serve you and bring the Zombies Beyond Me experience to everyone.

Thank you very much for your support so far! I'm doing my best.

the Developer.

Upcoming Beta 2.0.1 Patch Notes & Pricing Updates

Whats Coming?

In the first days of Zombies Beyond Me with the public we heard and read feedbacks from several players (including, their videos and livestreams). Based on this, we decided to implement some new systems to help you find matches faster and more automatically, without the need for creating/searching for servers.

Check out some of the notes from the Beta 2.0.1 update, which will arrive on September 24th, at approximately 06:00 PM (UTC).

And this is how the new Matchmaking System looks in the game menu:

We really hope that this new system will be of great value in helping players find matches faster and not be stuck in an almost endless waiting room until they can play.

And what about the price?

Well, this is a delicate subject that took a lot of time and discussion before it was decided.

In these first days of ZBM we had an unexpected number of players of about 4000 people (which is amazing, we love every one of you!). However, with the game being free and only having DLC with skin packs as a source of income, this has caused a bit of an adverse effect: server and service instability.

Unfortunately, the skin packs didn't sell as well as expected, and this affected the maintenance of essential resources such as servers and communication services (no money, no services).

And thinking a lot about keeping a good quality (as much as possible) for all players, we decided to change our business model from Free-To-Play to paid. The F2P model is the dream, and we want everybody to be able to play ZBM at will without losing money, but in this moment of calamity we really need it.

Wait! You got the game for free? You can keep it, forever!

But don't despair, if you got the game for free this time, you will keep it with you forever and you will be able to play it forever, including with anyone who buys it from now on! We will also give you a few more days to call your friends so they can get the game for free too =).

We don't want ZBM to be an expensive game, so we thought of a fair price that serves the sole purpose of helping to keep the servers online. You can be sure it won't go over $7!

That's the news for now, we hope you have fun with this new update and get the most out of what we have created here. We love you all very much.

- With affection,
Gabriel Alves - The Developer.
