Happy New Year! Working progress of hardcore mode!


Hi! Dear friends,
2019 has arrived, all of our INTOGAMES colleagues here to extend a beautiful blessing to the New Year! Thank you for your continued support of ZomDay, so that our team can grow smoothly. After the release of the last Halloween development status post, it has been nearly a month. In this news post, we continue to introduce the development status of the manual reload in the hard core mode.

1.The reload of pump action shotgun


Here is a gif:

As in the real case, the shotgun that uses the tubular magazine to store the shell must manually press the shell into the magazine one by one. Note that there will be a magazine slot on the right hand side, which is located next to the right gun slot. When your right hand picks up the weapon,a magazine (or bullet) will be generated in the mag slot.


So you can put the shell directly into the bolt when the bolt is open to reach the max shell capacity.


You can fire as fast as you can since it is all manually.

2.The reload of semi-automatic shotgun


Is Benelli M4. It has a little difference with a pump action shotgun since it can bolt action:

When bolt catching , player can put the shell directly into the bolt when the bolt is open.

3.Double barrel shotgun


So it is DT11:

You may notice that i'm swing the barrel to close it :) And of course you can also use the reload button to close the barrel.

The first way is press the reload button after mag inserted. You can see the slider and bolt will go back to fire position.
The second way is dragging the slider and release(or manually push back) , the slider will go back to fire position.

6.The balance of Hardcore mode



When our players turn on the hard core mode, the DPS reduction caused by the manual operation will make the game more difficult, so we will balance the numerical calculation.
The value of the damage is an example. After the hard mode is turned on, the base damage of the firearm will increase. Also, distance-based attenuation will be added for shotgun weapons, and the closer the distance is, the higher the damage.

More numerical balances are still under discussion, including greater benefits, and the ultimate goal is to make the hardcore model a more attractive mode for players - :)

But an important thing is the players who are using hardcore mode can play with players who are using arcade mode(default mdoe) in a multiplay.


7.About when?


At present, the logic part of manual operation program has been completed, and the next work will focus on the numerical calculation part.
I really hope we can release this new version before Chinese lunar new year
...... X_X

We have received feedback since the popular Beta 1.4 release. Beta 1.42 then added the features and new features that players desperately need after the Beta 1.4 release!


Here is the update list:

1.Update: Two hand weapon system(Beta)--- Auto grab,custom grab position



a.Now the grab will be auto!You only needs to position hand close to the grip/guard position of the firearm, and the dual hold state will be triggered automatically. When you want to exit the dual hold, just move your hand away.



b.If you want it manual,you can turn it off in the system settings.



c.Now you can customize the grip position of the double hold! You can customize your position in the picture below! The blue point is the grip position.




2.Update: Bloodfeast (Alpha)



The zombie shooting game without bloodshed is unqualified! From this patch we will continue to improve and upgrade the violent performance in the game! In this version, when a monster is head exploding or exploding, the blood will splash into the environment and affect the environment.




3.New weapon: Landmine



Now you can use the landmine to pre-empt the enemy! The low price and simple operation is simply a tool for brushing difference difficult level.

Unlock it after complete Level 3 in Hard difficulty.

Note that landmines can be hurt and can be detonated by attacking. At the same time, mines may also have the effect of a chain explosion if they are placed too tightly.




4.Update: Shared Ammo,Shared Bloodbag


In online games of 4 or more players, players often face the difficult situation of insufficient ammunition. Now,Shared ammunition or blood bags will appear in the game. These golden items will be picked up by one player and will be added to all players!



5.New feature: Friendly fire ranking


Now a friendly fire ranking will appear after level complete.



6.Optimize:Bandwidth consumption of AI in multiplayer games




7.Bug Fixed:There was a very small chance that the client's profile will go wrong after a multiplay game. It will not happen now.

1.New weapons

3.The Complete form of two hand weapon system



Many players are referring to the manual reload of the pump-type shotgun. We will try to add this feature, but in a more 'arcade' way, it won't fully emulate, making the operation too hard, but there will be more fun.

Beta 1.41 released! Private room search,optimize and bug fix aim for Beta 1.4 !

A week after the resounding launch of Beta 1.4, we are now launching the Beta 1.41 patch. This patch has been fixed and optimized for many aspects such as 8-person online and dual-armed systems. In this patch we focused on optimizing network speed and online room searching capabilities, and fixed bugs caused by the new features added in Beta 1.4.

1.New feature:Private Search


We have added a room exact search function.----

Private Match

All you need to do is enter the password of your friend's room ! The password is exactly the code when host a private room. And now the code will display above the level information in the lobby room.



Attention:
1.
Now the encrypted room will not appear in the list of 'Find a match' .

2.
It has now been found that when the network is congested, steam may not be able to find all the rooms that are currently in the game lobby, which means that the number of rooms you can find may be lower than the actual number. If you want to join a favorite open room, then you may need to search multiple times.

2.New feature:SteamNews implantation


Now, we have built ZomDay's Steam news browser in the main interface of the game. Now you can view the update news directly in the game.



3.Bug Fixed:Two hand weapon system bug fix

Now the OC device will not automatically lower the framerate after the helmet is removed, which is very beneficial for multiplayer Room owners using OC devices, which means that when the OC Room owner takes off the glasses, the multiplayer The game's network connection will not be affected.

11.Bug Fixed:Repairing the bug when a client to pick up or sell the weapon with attachments the attachment of the firearm is not properly destroyed. (You can see some attachments floating in air)

13.Update:Microphone default ON


The microphone function in the game will now be enabled by default. If you want to turn it off, use the T key to turn it off, and press the T key one time to turn it back on.

After reading the anniversary comics, let's take a look at what's in this update :)

Over the past few months, the ZomDay team has massively upgraded the entire GamePlay and network system architecture and fixed a number of bugs. Thanks to these upgrades, this update will bring you many new features that players have been waiting for for a long time!


1. New feature: 8 players multiplay



Thanks to the optimization of the gameplay framework, ZomDay will officially support 8 people online at the same time! The delay in shooting due to slow network or the problem of not being able to shoot the gun will not occur again. Call your teammates! But don't be too happy, the difficulty of the level will still increase dynamically with the increase of the number of people. Focusing on cooperation is the key to customs clearance.。

2.New feature:Room with access code,Room hoster name display,level difficulty information etc.





3.New feature:Weapon recoil system upgrade



The upgraded recoil system will accumulate the angle and offset caused by the recoil. This means that the muzzle of an uncontrolled continuous shot will continue to jump, and the accuracy of the shot will be greatly reduced.






4.New feature:Two hand weapon system(Alpha)



It's here! The new two hand weapon system! When the weapon enters dual-hold, the recoil of the muzzle and spread of the projectile will be significantly reduced.


a.Use the "grip key" to align with the part of the weapon that can be grasped to enter the dual-hold mode.
b.Press the "grasp key" again to exit the double-hold state
c.The holding hand can't do anything until your release it.(press Grip key again)
d.For OC, you must holding the Grip to keep holding.

8.Update: Client grenade throwing bug fixed/Hand grenade throwing tips

11.New Feature: Tracker mode(Alpha)


Now ZomDay will have native Tracker support, you don't need to turn Tracker into Controller anymore! Easy to use custom devices such like PPGun. This is helpful for a large numbers of arcade shops using custom peripherals.

This feature is still under development, and you should be aware of the following:
a.

Stay in the same state as above:One Controller,One Tracker

b.There is a known Bug in SteamVR at present, which will result in invalid input of Tracker. To use Tracker, please switch the version of SteamVR to the version shown in the picture, and SteamVR will be re-installed after switching


c.You still need to turn on the PPGun mode, otherwise this feature will not work

d.If you still want to keep the Tracker as Controller, you don't need to make any changes。

e.Tracker will be your right hand, and the Controller will be your left hand.

How is the rating calculated?

Hi, dear all!

When guys talked about the game recently, they often asked questions about the rating, wanted to know how the rating was calculated, and how to make a high rating. The following will briefly introduce the calculation method of the rating and some tips. I hope all guys will have the ideal rating in their hearts after reading!ːsteamhappyː

Ratings are calculated by:


Number of head shot , number of combo, hit rate, and the amount of injury. There are four factors, each factor has 25 points, a total of 100 points.

How to calculate the rating:


Each factor has a reference value that equals or exceeds the reference value to get a perfect score. Below the reference value, the score decays proportionally. Head shot, combo, and hit rate are the higher the score is, but the amount of injury. Four factors are independent of each other, for example, if the number of head shot is 0, and the other three items are full marks, the highest score will only be 75 points. Each time a wave is counted, the data is cleared when the next wave begin. A total score of more than 90 points can be obtained Ω, more than 80 points less than 90 to get SSS, and so on;

High score essential skills:


1. Crazy head shot.
2. Infinite combo (no more than three seconds without hitting an enemy or a bullet does not hit the enemy and the combo will break).
3. Unhurt.

High score tips:


1. When you want a higher number of head shot, try attack bigger and not blocked head, such as gorillas. . .

4.Bug fixed: Level 4 Perk point reward missing


In the previous version Perk reward may be missing when you pass the Hell/GOW difficulty of Lv.4. Now you can take it back by complete any level at any difficulty.


5.Update: New Smooth snap turn (Beta)


This had been discussed for many times in the Discussions. Now you can ‘smooth turn’ by open the ‘Smooth Snap Turn’ mode (System Setting--MISC). If you feel VR sick badly please turn it off. :)
Attention:
a.This function works a little different between OC and Vive.
b.You have to turn on the ‘Snap turn’ to ensure this function work properly.

Before we dive into the mine in the desert level, let's look back to the slum and play as a member of Team Zeta.

This is a powerful Katana.Not only the damage but also it has a chance to spawn a buff when you hit on enemies.You can find it in the gun shop.

2.New weapon:FreezerGrenade



A very useful grenade which will slow down the enemies inside it's damage range.You can unlock it by pass the normal/Hell difficulty levels in Level 3.
