Patch Version v0.294.27 - UI Improvements

Hey Everyone!

We improved some aspects of the game Interface based on the feedback we gathered from the surveys, the forums and the discord channel. We will keep reacting to your feedback to assure that you are all having the best possible experience with the game.

A Hero's Rest Patch v0.294.27 Patch-notes.

New:

  • Changed the In-Game clock to show the current Date & Season instead of the current time, as the latter was causing unnecessary pressure on some people. The new system provides more useful information as most events in the game are date-related rather than time-related.
  • An option to switch between the clock and the new system was added to the In-Game Options menu under the Gameplay category.
  • Added tooltips to clarify building controls when selecting objects.

Changes:

  • Mr. George changed his wording during the Tutorial to stop confusing young proprietors when creating their first quests and now correctly signs his letter.
  • Rearranged the proficiencies to improve the Weapon Master's Menu.

Fixes & Improvements:

  • Made weapon & Armours displays easier to select when clicking on them
  • Improved visuals in the Trader's menu, to avoid confusion between items & resources.
  • Improved the visuals of the Social buttons in the Main Menu Screen
  • Fixed Typos in different areas of the game.

Patch Version v0.293.27 Release + Hotfix

Hey Everyone!

The Demo is out and it has been a blast! plenty of feedback has been sent our way and we are working hard on making sure everyone has the best experience with the game.
Below are the patch notes for version v0.293.27.

A Hero's Rest Patch v0.293.27 Patch-notes.

New:

  • We made some quality-of-life improvements to the Quest Crafting Menu. Now a new interface will show how many heroes you have that will be able to take on the quest you are planning to craft, and how many are below or above the quest difficulty.

This will make it easy to spot your overall CR Ranges and better plan for quests with less need for other menus.

Changes:

  • Notifications will now disband automatically after more than 8 notifications are left not checked, if the notification contained any kind of resources or events, they will automatically activate on dismiss.
  • By default, Notifications can now be dismissed instantly by clicking on them, the option to hold the mouse button to dismiss can be set in the options menu while in-game. (This will not change the current setting in previous saves, if you would like to change it to the new mode, you can do it in the options menu while in-game).
  • New Heroes that arrive in town will now instantly be added to the hero list instead of showing after they depart for the first time. And a notification will pop in the icon to alert you that you have a brand new hero waiting for you.

Fixes & Improvements:

  • Improved pathfinding among heroes and visitors, will primarily improve the navigation around small buildings and tight spaces.
  • Fixed a bug that was happening when pausing the game while crafting a class where you could pick proficiencies that you couldn't afford which caused confusion before finishing crafting said class.
  • Fixed a bug where in a scarce situation the innkeeper may get stuck and heroes would not be able to process their demands with him.

Hotfix:

  • Fixed a bug where sometimes floors wouldn't properly align during building.
