This momentous update finally fixes all the bugs I know about on Windows, apart from a few lingering and very hard-to-fix ones that are unique to specific machines. (If you have one of these, please let me know.)
Bugs fixed are as follows:
- Fixed dependency issues preventing progress in the Abbas Salem quest.
- Fixed some issues with exploring the Shambles in the Dreams of the Dancing God storyline. This wasn't bugged content, it was just very punishingly difficult and quite badly designed to begin with. I think I must have been very sleep-deprived when I came up with this. Made some simple changes that improve the quest progression tenfold.
- Added a way to sell Sleepless Wretches from your cargo.
- Fixed a minor dependency issue in the procedural Journalism quests.
- Fixed a broken dialogue option in the Morbazar storyline.
- Fixed blank-screen dialogue bug in the Nicholas storyline.
- One of the dialogue options in the Library storyline didn't correctly reward guineas.
- A bug I'd already thought was fixed: Travelling via fetch-mirror to Chimer and failing the skill challenge would sometimes drop you a bit too far north. Turns out this could still happen in very rare cases. Now fixed!
V1.19 Update: Rebindable Keys
Hi all,
Sorry for the absence over the last few weeks - I couldn't maintain that bugfixing rate, and I ended up crashing a little. But now I'm back!
The latest HOMD update adds rebindable keys, a much-requested feature. It also fixes a major CTD issue unique to the Mac build of the game which was unfortunately introduced in the V1.18 update.
There are still a few bugs that I wasn't able to fix for this version and that I'm going to work on over the next few days, most notably the Abbas storyline and a few difficult-to-diagnose dependency issues in the Journalism quests. Those should be fixed in the next update.
I'm looking forward to V1.2 - at that point, I think A House of Many Doors will be fully stable, and I can take a step back for a month or two and start planning new content updates and potentially my next major project after HOMD.
Other minor fixes in this update:
- Fixed a bug at the end of the Banjo storyline.
- Fixed a bug when choosing a certain dialogue option in the Ashen storyline.
- Fixed a random event that didn't properly take a Dangerous Beast (Alive) from your cargo.
- Fixed a bug affecting some systems (not sure how many) where the fuel loss event wouldn't properly trigger.

- Fixed bug that stops progression when following the Trees questline and attempting to gather materials for the Archbishop.

V1.16 Update: Unlockable Doors on the Map!

V1.13 Update: Map Optimizations
I've been working on optimizing the map. There's still room for improvement, and I'll be working on it further tomorrow, but it's better than before.
This update also fixes various miscellaneous bugs:
- Map optimizations.
- Fixed bug in Chimer quest.
- Whispers in Murmurhold no longer overstay their welcome.
- Fixed spoilery story inconsistency in Ghoulwatch.
- Fixed exploitable bug where you could take Cromlech to see multiple plays.
- Fixed fortune-teller bug in Buzzards' Omen.
- Fixed Delving: Carapas concerns not concluding correctly.
- Fixed very minor scrambled dialogue options in Jhang Ba Sho quest.
- Fixed nasty CTD bug that was only affecting people on Mac.
- Fixed various issues around the locked Doors south of Recalcitrance.
- Attempts to fix the "rocketing kinetopede" bug resulted in a small number of players having an unacceptably slow kinetopede. No idea why this would happen, but I've reversed the change, so rocketing kinetopede will be back in this update. Hopefully no-one minds too much.
- Fixed loop in Judith quest dialogue.
- Fixed blank-dialogue in Genevieve quest.
- Fixed dialogue loop in Char quest.
- Fixed minor typo in Penitents' Bluff.
- Finishing the Founder delve now correctly gives you a Hideous Revelation.
- (Spoilers) Can no longer visit the Omnipope after you kill him.
Next update: More map optimizations, WASD scrolling on map, bugfixes, perhaps some other stuff.
V1.12 Update: Wounds
Hello, all. In response to player feedback, in this update I've added some nice visual representation of Wounds among your upper-deck crew. This hopefully makes them clearer.
Other miscellaneous fixes:
- Fixed minor typo in Misty Falls.
- Fixed bug when trying to drop off a carchar passenger at Phobetor Quinn after having already visited there 2 times.

- Fixed rare CTDs caused by the lighting engine.
- Fixed dependency issue in the Panorama quest.
- Fixed blank-dialogue issues in Bishop storyline.
Next update I'm going to seriously optimize the Map for a second time, as people with lower RAM are still experiencing FPS slowdown.
V1.11 Update: A Host of Minor Fixes
As always, huge thanks to everyone reporting bugs. Here's the latest crop.

- Fixed minor bug in Makkera where recruiting a treacle-coated ghoul would turn him into a human crewmember, but only if you recruited him as a Gunner.

- Fixed minor dialogue bug in the Harmony storyline.

- The Panomnicon didn't entirely reflect certain changes in the story. Fixed.
- Fixed the ending to the Abbas quest.
NOT A BUG: To people worried about their Sanity dropping to Anxious, this is probably because you have a Hideous Revelation or Mind-shattering Disruption in your logbook. With knowledge like that eating a hole in your brain, you'll never reach Steady Sanity.
NOT A BUG: Masterpiece progress will decrease the more you work on it. Just a fact of life. Don't think of it as losing progress; think of it as the goalposts moving further and further away.
NOT A BUG: Your starting Lodgings will change depending on the wealth of your starting character build. This isn't your previous Lodgings carrying over to a new save.
