Minor polishing

Made it default choice for new player's that they need to start their own music, let's see if this improves the game engagement. Made the "play music" icon and text a bit larger to make sure people can see it. Also made the infinite lives default choice for new players as it's not as punishing, maybe player's that struggle with the game keep playing more now.

Fine tuned the difficulty curve of the game. Levels 5 and 6 felt a bit too difficult as they were.

Also now the game instructs better on the game controls if player go to options menu. It's now context sensitive, so when playing with controller it shows controller instructions.

Minor bug fixing

Now controller should work more smoothy without as much hassle as the game detects quicker that player want to use controller. Forgot to update code on a couple of scripts when added new levels on patch, this caused issues like loading wrong level after level completion on "level completed"-screen with certain advanced levels.

ABC 2025 patch 3

Added more levels to the game for DLC, now there is 15 levels in DLC and 6 levels in free version. Small other tweaks were also done to some other levels, such as level 5. Also now there's new target goals when you complete the level and go beyond 100 score on the level.

ABC 2025 patch 2

Added 2 new levels: 11 and 12 to the DLC, and converted level 6 as a new level to the free version.

Tweaked also the other levels more as this was a major patch. This included adding new shapes and replacing poorer shape ideas that didn't work that well. In general I didn't want the game to be as much a reaction game, so I took away a shape that was flying at too fast speed. In general the levels now have more shapes that move at different velocities, as it generates more interesting levels.

Pacing change: It felt like there's not much going on in the game if the music level was low, so I added the spawning of shapes and the levels are now more intense. The level difficulty was affected and the later levels are now more difficult in general. Tried to counter the difficulty curve bump by making sure that on most levels the shapes can't spawn quite as tightly as previously.

ABC 2025 patch 1

Now having some holidays from work, so it's great time to update this game!

I tweaked the level personalities, so that they differentiate more. For example now different levels might have different camera views.
Also added some feedback from heavy bass, it gets the whole playground to bounce.
Also tweaked the level progression so that the player gets quicker more level variance when playing a level.
Also managed to create a tiny bit more variation to levels and got new ideas on what new variations could be added later. I'm now quite more happy with levels 4-6. Level 3 is even greater than before, too. Level 1 and 2 improved too.

Small polishing

Improved game menus, for example the level select menu was able to show simultaneously 2 levels and it was hard to read anything.

Now the game doesn’t as easily falsely think that you want to start 2 player game, when your just clicking around with your mouse and want to play with a controller.

Vertigo Fix

The game was causing a lot of Vertigo and dizziness for visually sensitive people or majority of people. Changed background particle behavior so that they are not rotating with the obstacles. Hopefully now the games player satisfaction increase.

Also smaller fixes:
-Made the player glow a bit as it looks nice
-Made the leaderboard info on lvl select work a bit smoother

Leaderboards bug fix

Now player who doesn't yet have name in leaderboard shows correctly -> Better than 0.0% of players

Climb up the leaderboards!

Added Leaderboards! I havn't yet played really, so you can be world number 1 pretty easily at least for some time.. :)

For the leaderboard to work, make sure you make a new personal record as that is when the game send the new score to leaderboards, so if you have old records, they wont get there until you break them! There are different leagues for different lives amounts: 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 and infinite lives. So you can have different records for each levels in the different difficulty modes.

Also tweaked a bit the first levels, made the onboarding more smooth for new players: the first levels are a bit easier at start.

Also decreased the camera movement as it was a bit dizzying.

2024 update

-Added more neon colors and color themes for the levels. The game is more beautiful spectacle now!
