We had a lot of fun adding this character into the game. Ricky's dark, self-deprecating and shockingly hilarious style of comedy was a natural fit for Acquitted. Stay tuned for his upcoming gameplay video on Youtube where he'll play as himself, and announce the secret to unlocking his character!
Ricky Berwick is now a playable character
How do you play as Ricky? He'll be revealing the secret in a gameplay video on Youtube soon. Stay tuned guys.

small update
small update - still working on the night mode effects, so they've been removed for now (coming soon)
major patch 22 june: riot atmosphere + lots of new achievements
The appearance of the map now looks far more like a riot - garbage, spraypaint cans, graffiti everywhere, cars on fire, etc. We've also added many new achievements, and made some gameplay improvements:
Weapon drops happen more often
Weapon drops are easier to see now with a spotlight under them
C4 does more damage
Stay tuned for more, and thanks again for your support - you guys rock!
Riot Decorations - Coming Soon!
Covering the map with graffiti, garbage, empty spray paint cans, fires, protest signs and all the sights that normally accompany a riot. Should make the atmosphere more intense and funny (the signs and graffiti are easy places to add humor).
Any ideas for stuff or messages you'd like to see on the ground?
Thanks for all your support guys!
more achievements added - more coming soon!
Thanks for all your support and feedback guys, we'll keep updating the game!
The next update will probably have many more achievements but also more riot decorations for the map - garbage, dropped signs, knocked over fences, fires, graffiti, etc. The game will start to look much more like a riot zone.
update 7 june: one new achievement test
Hey guys, a tiny new achievement test - we're working on a bunch right now, stayed tuned!
enemy AI update - 2 june 2022
Enemies typically use a surrounding / anti-kiting strategy but this doesn't work well on the final wave when the enemy mob is too small. Therefore I've improved enemy AI to switch to a more aggressive strategy on the final wave when there are only a handful of enemies left. This also removes the annoyance of trying to chase or find enemies who are attempting to surround you (taking a very indirect route), and finishes the levels faster - maintaining the intense pace of action at all times!
This AI update could also be helpful for people trying to speedrun and set finishing time highscores.
Stay tuned for A LOT of achievement updates!
update 30 May: testing stats-based achievement
Testing out a stats-based achievement that tracks headshots across multiple play sessions. We are actively looking through the forums and incorporating your feedback for achievements to add, thanks guys!
