Adore 0.5 - Gaterdrik Reinforcements!



Hi, Adorers!

As we told before in our Devlog, this update will be focused on new creatures to populate the world of Gaterdrik.
An important note is that we prioritize making sure that every creature is unique!
We don't want to create a 'reskin/recolor' of other creatures just to have "lots of creatures" in our game. Each one of them needs a particular characteristic to be put in the game.
This will give every run a completely fresh experience for you.

Riding mechanic
We are introducing some creatures with a riding system that you can use during battle!
Momba, Devu and Daros are the ones that you can ride.








As WarriorTomb mentioned on this topic(and we agree), Adore needs much more than just new creatures.
We launched the early access with just 9 creatures!! With this major update, we'll have 30 and we believe that it's a good amount for now(we still want to release more creatures in near future).
That being said, for our next Major update, we can step away a bit from new creatures and focus on making the gameplay and story more interesting.

Implementations


- [ Community Suggestion ] - Now you you can see, at players inventory, how many Essences you got...
- [ Community Suggestion ] - Reworked how the AI uses its Special Abilities.
- [ Community Suggestion ] Now when you press Start, the menu disappears.
- Reworked how the AI keeps its target. Especially in rooms with lots of creatures.
- Now it shows details of how much each item gives.
- Now it shows visually and with a sound effect when an Armor is broken.


Balance


- [ Community Suggestion ] - Abbu's base damage increased by 1.
- Frogma got a rework. Now his projectiles only leave a puddle when Frogma uses his special ability.
- Now you can continuously reroll the synergies you have to choose from, for just 1 Essence.
- Curse gain reduced by 50% for your creatures.
- Essence Health bonus reduced from 20 to 15.

Bug Fixes


- Fixed some places where creatures and players were getting stuck. Please, if you find another spot, send us a screenshot at our Discord Server.
- Fixed a bug where the Player was not able to summon his creature.
- Fixed a bug where the captured creature would freeze after summoned.
- Fixed a sound effect of Zhoraz not being in 3D space.

Devlog - Take a look at 4 more creatures!

Hi, Adorers!

We want to share with you the last 4 new creatures of the Major update. And finally, with these 10 new creatures, we reached a total of 30 Unique Creatures in Adore.

The Major Update "Gaterdrik Reinforcement" is coming in 3 days, 29th of October!

New Creatures!




Bodin [Beast]



Don't be fooled by his size. Bodin is a fearless creature.


Special Attack: Enters an enraged state and jumps from target to target, trying to hit every nearby enemy.




Devu [Arcane]



Another creature that you are able to ride!
For his basic attack, he dashes, trying to land behind its target before performing an area attack with a giant energy orb.



Special Attack: When mounted, for each creature that you go through, Devu deals small damage but the target has its attack speed and movement speed reduced.


Tupeba [Beast]



This beast has a unique movement. It moves underground and while doing it, it is totally invulnerable.



Special Attack: Jumps out of the ground, dealing stun and damage after landing.



Kriza [Mystic]



This one is for Adorers who like strategic positioning.
With his basic attack, if you have good control of Kriza's position, you can hit a lot of enemies with its crystals.



Special Attack: Creates a wall that blocks the movement of the enemies and allies. Perfect to creature space and outsmart the enemies.

Devlog - More Creatures!

Hi, Adorers!

Remember that we told you, on our last Devlog, that this major update is all about new creatures with different characteristics? So, here we go. More creatures to you!

New Creatures!




Momba [Nature]



Another creature with the new Riding mechanic!

Special Attack: When summoned, you mount on Momba and can fly around. If you release its button, Momba stomps the ground and Entangles all the enemies around him in a very large area.

Entangle: All creatures that are entangled cannot move but still can attack (if they are in range).




A'quin [Mystic]



His basic attack is mixed. It deals damage to a single target, followed by an AOE attack.



Special Attack: Very powerful water gush that pushes all the enemies that are in front of him!




Gryin [Arcane]



This Arcane creature has a very unique attack. Gryin creates a magic water orb that he controls to attack his foes.



Special Attack: Creates a water bubble that blocks all incoming projectile attacks!

Devlog - Gaterdrik Reinforcements



Hi, Adorers! How are you doing?

We would like to share with you, some of the new creatures that are coming with the new Major Update: Gaterdrik Reinforcements.

This update will be focused on new creatures to populate the world of Gaterdrik.

New Creatures!




Daros [Beast]



His basic attack is fast and hits all creatures in a small area.



Special Attack: His Special introduces the new riding mechanic. You can ride and control Daros, while it tramples and pushes every enemy in its way.

Important: You need to hold its button while riding. If you release, you'll unmount and daros will perform a basic attack.




Tzena [Mystic]



For Tzena, we were looking for a creature capable of covering a huge area with his special while still being lethal with the basic attacks.



Special Attack: Travels a large area, in a few seconds, hitting every enemy in the path.





Moosh [Nature]



Moosh has a very unique attack. It spawns mushroom minions that act like other creatures, not a projectile. The little mushrooms can be killed, but you can also combo with Fouboo to give them shield, for example.



Special Attack: Spawns a green minion that follows the player until it finds an ally creature that needs healing. It also can be killed.
