With the new tiered blocks you have to make several stops along the way to pick up increasingly more valuable resources to build those new colossal hardware. Progression is locked behind 5 new materials that are found the deeper you go into the galaxy:

Annoyed by the bed of boosters you had to build/repair on your ship? One Colossal booster is more than enough to propel you to the other side of the universe.

Disappointed you can't get the ship to spin at 120 rpm fast enough to annoy your crewmates? Now you can. Please don't.

Planet survival scenarios
Sick of always starting in space with a fully functional ship? Survive and eventually repair a wrecked ship to escape the harsh environment in the new planet survival scenarios.
Inventory fetching
Inventory management is the final boss in most games and it's not fun. I know. Now you can fetch/pull inventory directly from the ship for crafting, planting and repairing. Quick send to ship also included.
Reliable multiplayer connection
Developed a brand new reliable network module for multiplayer to ensure packets are going to reliably arrive to your peers. Say goodbye to de-syncs.
4 new pois and drones
With 2 more drone variants and 2 more planet base designs the game will no longer feel so similar in your away missions.
Adjacent upgrade
Who has time to dismantle the smaller blocks in order to build a larger one? Not me, just place 4 tanks of same type together and a new mega tank will take their place. 2 mega tanks make a colossal one, more than enough to fuel your booster bed.
New blocks and new items
Beacon
Want to score a new record but don't have time to wait for the waves to come? The beacon will broadcast your location making them come 4 times faster.
Semiconductor Fabricator
Running low on CPUs and ICs, craft them yourself, no engineering knowledge required. Be careful!, this block is very expensive to build.
New tanks and battery variants
Introducing the new Colossal and Mega variants for the Tanks and for the Batteries. 600% the capacity for 400% the size and it stacks exponentially(32x capacity for 16x size).
Blast Door
Who likes breaches? Doors make more sense.
Finish game event
Move aimlessly across the galaxy and eventually quit without any catharsis? Clear the central sector to mark your achievement into the game and into the leaderboard. Big notifications and a reward included.
Atmosphere navigation
Get the necessary info to keep your ship on the correct trajectory with the new horizon and altitude indicators.
New crafting & trading panel design
Because both needed an overhaul. New keybinds for stack crafting included. With the new trading panel you can sell anything as long as it is an item and has some value.
New 3d models & images for items
As with any update, I strive to bring a sense of consistent design across the entire game, thus adding 30 new models for items. And who doesn't like to both see the crensel cake and also eat it?
Deck editing with tools
I can't believe I didn't have this before, just right click and left click to edit the floor/roof of any adjacent deck. Perfect for making space for colossal tanks and panoramic views.
Popup crafting panel
Searching recursively for recipes is not fun. That's why now you can simply click on the missing ingredient and a popup with the available recipes for it will appear to quickly craft your pistol without having to switch crafting tabs.
Remote mission taking
Dock -> get mission -> undock takes to long. Just hail the station and the mission list will be downloaded on the electronics console for you to take. Convenient.
New Autopilot/ Nav. Assist options
Another QoL feature is the improved nav assist. With the new options to - automatically revert mid-way, - prevent overshooting, - stop on proximity and - stop on collision you won't have to worry about the journey while you enjoy you crensel smoothie on the observation deck. What self driving level is that? 3?

Over 390 fixes/small qol features
Many smaller convenience features were added like: - Suits drop when suitdocks are dismantled, same with hydroponics and seeds. - More info on item description panel. - Ammo is returned when weapon is sold/dismantled. - Kick/ban/unban from pda. - Detailed damage report directly on the driving hud. - Start weapons and engines with one button each. - Wave warning notifications. - Detailed crew stats on the player list ui. - Removing windows/cargo doors/airlocks no longer depressurizes the ship. - Upgrading tanks/batteries doesn't lose their stored content. And many more.
Fire through shields
Finally you won't have to worry about getting hit because shields flicker to allow your projectiles. The new algorithms for shield emitters allows firing without having to turn the shields temporarily off.
Passive healing
Not having access to medical pods dooms you into a death loop. Just give it few minutes and your health will improve up to a point ... or more exactly, up to 50 points.
Turret ammo unloading
Since you never use the gatling rounds because you can't land any hit why not sell them? 20K free at the start of the game? Sign me up!
Hover mode for ships
Now this is a very convenient feature, gone are the days of throttling and having to manually remove the boosters to reduce as much as possible the vertical acceleration in atmosphere. Now you can even leave the ship inclined and it will eventually get to it's destination without crashing and without anyone driving (if you know how).
Lots of balancing
A lot of recipes were changed, intermediate items removed and values tweaked in order to make the experience of playing as convenient as possible. New game loops were introduced like semiconductor crafting or turret recycling.
Auto item equip
Look at a tank, hold F and automatically you will get the filled pouches from ship inventory and start pouring them one after another. Same for tools, heals, seeds, battery and reactor rods. One held key(F) to rule them all.
2 times larger planets
Planet survival on a 32km planet? Nope, double it.
Clientside projectiles
No longer get hit by invisible projectile because you live 500 milliseconds away. If you don't get hit from the projectiles that you can see, YOU DON'T GET HIT.

Ever run out of o2 and h2 but had mountains of unused water? Or are the turbines not providing enough power for you? I got you covered, convert liquids with each other and with both electricity grids like joggling balls. Fusion & singularity reactors
Do you have nothing to sink your resources into in the end-game? Well, those 2 overpowered reactors will give you enough plasma to power a entire planet... sustainably.

No more overlaps and nice building animation. Did I mention you can place multiple blocks in the same voxel (1x1x1m) if they don't physically overlap?
RCS nozzle effects
No space sim is complete without RCS nozzle particles!
New suitdock, lift, deck elevator and cargodoor
You will learn to love the deck elevator, up and down, get to other decks in no time, gone are the days of stairs or ladders.
Updated energy console
Well... we can't have all those new energy blocks without a 80 button startup procedure, now can we?
All blocks on inside
Getting out of the ship for repairs is not fun, I know; that's why all blocks are accessible for repairs from inside as well.
Rename ship command
Somehow 'Crocked sparrow' sound way better than 'My Ship(7)'. Let's see what names you come up with. Remember, type in chat: /renameship [name of ship] .
Lots of multiplayer fixes
After hours and hours of playing multiplayer I never got a single error(desync/network errors not included). MP is getting more and more stable with each update.
New items and item sprites
Plushies for me, plushies for you , plushies for everyone. Ran out of power and only need seconds to start up the turbines? The hand held crank generator will give you the squeeze you need to run the energy console for a bit. Last but not least, you don't have to work so hard writing the complains about the bad quality item images, I know and I am actively updating them.
More modding options
Tired of the same red cone model you see when you shoot the gatlings? You can shoot rubber ducks at turrets now. Be the first one to make this mod! Oooor replace bullets with individually loadable ammo clips. Blocks, recipes and items got new configurable fields for you to play with.
Dismantling gets all items back
Placed the RCS in the wrong orientation? Want to clear a hallway for your battery farm? I got you covered. Take apart any block and recraft it again at no additional cost.

New networking framework
Felling lonely in your ship far away from any outpost? Join servers with 2 clicks so you can feel lonely with your friends together. Supporting 3 server types: > UNET, fast and simple but require port forwarding and no server listing > Photon, higher latency but always works without hiccups > Steam net(not tested) which is a mix of both.
What looter shooter would Adro be without a assault riffle? Sleak design, high dps, custom sound effects.... it can even damage drones, I mean, what else could you want?
New shotgun
Gone is the smg placeholder model, with custom animations and buffed stats the new shotgun will be your go to choice for raiding.
New models for several blocks
Introducing the new screen, with a better design then the predecessor it features additional info regarding grid levels, propulsion stats and ship dimensions. Landing pad and solar panels got refitted as well.
New ui design
It was about time to pump some quality and cohesion into the menu. All elements are organized properly and use the same aesthetic.
New station missions
Brand new Distress signal, Investigate Unknown signals and few more missions were introduced to replace the useless previous ones.
Targetable markers
Yes, get them juicy nav assist intel for distant locations as well.
Damaged blocks show on ui
Tired of running around the ship to find the damaged blocks? Say no more. Ship maintenance is gonna be way easier when you can see which blocks were damaged with the new damage indicators, just hold a tool in your hands.
Balanced loot and recipes
Removed lots of unneeded or abundant items, added few more intermediary recipe ingredients and removed all weapons from loot since you can craft them now. Added recipes for some blocks and simplified others.
New item icons
Did I mention this is a overhaul update? where I mostly improve a preexisting part of the game, well lots of items got new 3d renders as icons of AAA quality. Would you believe me if I told you some of them were 5 years old?
Updated consoles
Redistributed the buttons to the rest of the console, some new text and new functionalities and added few more buttons, I mean, Who doesn't like more buttons?
New sound effects
Reloading, firing, boosters and airlock sounds got a level up and it's not in volume.
Many bugfixes
I even wonder how could some bugs make it so far into development without getting caught...
Performance improvements
Drastically reduced draw calls by batching meshes of the same type into a single call. Made planet bases spawn around the player instead of having precalculated spawn positions to reduce save file size. Less triangles and draw calls from the new blocks. Also recycled materials for multiple blocks to prevent expensive gpu context changes.
Other changes
New material for fps hands, instant crafting and speed info on driving ui are some of the new additions as well as improved item and mission modding. Steam integration is in prototype phase so next update expect full support. Vehicles and current time are shown on UI. Tools have further reach and undocking can be done from cockpit.
