Mogloween begins! Or... is it Tacoween? O_o


"The smell of pumpkin spice fills the air... with a lil' whiff of taco."


As you read this, the fog has opened revealing a path to the haunted town of Mystcroft. Journey there and discover the haunted house, mad science lab, a graveyard of the dancing dead, and the best drops and shops of previous years. How to get there? Try chatting with the talking black cauldron that is in the center of our hometown. His name is Myx.



Meanwhile, in the social district of our hometown, the notoriously tenacious Tito Taco has returned for Taco Day!



We are kicking off our dark and spooky October festivities early so that the team can focus on next week's major feature release-- team vs team PvP for all players! Receiving rave reviews from testers, our first match mode sends your team in to capture and hold locations. It is a lot of fun and the PvP rewards look awesome!

Mogloween Top 10 List!


Every year, all the content from the previous years return... then, we add something new near the end of October. Here are some things you can do right now!



#1 Town of Mystcroft
Talk to Myx the black cauldron to travel to this spookalicious town.



#2 Haunted Mansion
The haunted halls of Mystcroft Manor contain 4 wings with devilish surprises! Dare you find The Great Dreamer (of pies) Gourd’thulu?



#3 G'Rave Yard
An 100% ebil moglin is either having a dance party, or unleashing an undead invasion. Either way, you better check it out.



#4 Mad Science Lab
Dr. Trollenstein is dying to have you come to his Laboratory for a free check up! There's loads of fun and a comparably high survival rate to his last lab.



#5 Mystcroft Fishing
Those slime pools are not going to fish themselves. Catch some spooktastic fish.



#6 Trick or Treating
Trick or treat! Acquire the sugary goodness from knocking on doors, slaying the various ghouls and ghosts, or completing quests. Once you've collected enough, you can trade it in for bigger and better treats!



#7 Boo-talcorn
"Why ya ghost'n me, brah?"
Be on the lookout for this rare spawn mini-boss monster.



#8 The Headless Horseman of Mystcroft
No longer the head of his class, but somehow still a head above the rest. This rare spawn mini-boss is also located in Mystcroft.



#9 Gourd’thulu
If someone had told Charlie Brown he was summoning a C’thulian ancient one, he probably would have stayed clear of that pumpkin patch. Battle this epic boss in the most dangerous wing of the Haunted House.



#10 Trollenstein’s Monster
"It's alive! It's aliiiive!" Battle this world boss which sometimes spawns outside the haunted house. Remember, Trollenstein is the name of the scientist, not the monster. Which is extra confusing since the monster is clearly a Trolluk Golem and the scientist is not a Trolluk. Weird O_O



Mogloween 2020 Trove Returns!


Speak to Mayor Mc'Pumpkin to start your very own Mogloween Trove. It is a free collection which you build by turning in items.... and includes your very own UwU Pumpkin Pet!



Taco Day!


Tito the terrific, tenacious taco enthusiast is now back in the Social District. He's waiting to teach you how to make tacos for Taco Day. These tacos are more than just delicious crunchy goodness, they are... money. You can trade them in for items in the Taco Day Shop!



Coming next.... PvP & Masquerade Ball


Each year, we kick off our fall festivities with the return of Mogloween, then we add something new. Rumor has it, there is going to be a Masquerade Ball this year. Maybe you will get an invitation? Before that, get ready for a big feature release: "Team vs Team PvP!" One of the PvP armor sets revealed above.

How to Participate



  1. Log on to AdventureQuest 3D and prove you’re prepared for the desert with a screenshot. There are many peddlers selling outfits suited to the Sand Sea in game, but we’d recommend heading to Bastion if you’re missing that last piece of gear that could help you handle the heat.
  2. Equip any SandSea set
  3. Take amazing screenshots (solo or with friends) and be creative!
  4. Drop your best ones into the Community Hub "Screenshots" tab with your in-game name by the end of Tuesday, September 28th, for a chance to win.
  5. Ensure Visibility is set to "Public" then click Save Artwork to Community Hub
  6. Remember to add your AQ3D character name to your post! (How would we know who to give prizes to otherwise?) You would not believe how many people missed out on prizes because they did not include their character name on an awesome screenshot.

The Keeper of Death awaits!


This week, it’s time to see where all the twists and turns of the labyrinthian Sandsea Saga have led to! The final chapter in the saga will see you venturing into the Keeper of Death Sanctuary to intervene in Lord Sekt’s attempt to wish for greater power! Will Skorpienne, the Keeper of Death and creator of the Lamp fulfill Lord Sekt’s wish or does she have other plans for the rapidly weakening Immortal Pharaoh of the Sandsea? And what surprises could the Voidrakar have in store? After all, Vane and his minions have been cooking up a devious plan regarding the Lamp…
What will occur in the finale? You’ll just have to play to find out!



Epic Final Battle


The end of a saga also means an epic final battle! The line between friend and foe will be blurred when the fate of the entire Sandsea is at stake. Will you and your allies be able to topple a threat of the likes you have not yet seen!



Skorpienne’s Wardrobe


We know many of you are excited to see the debut of Skorpienne, Keeper of Death. That’s why we went ahead and made her outfit available to you all! To craft her set visit Sekt in his Pyramid and he’ll send you on quests to gather the materials needed to craft Skorpienne’s Wardrobe from the repeatable boss fight. However, if repeat runs of this fight isn’t for you, we have made Skorpienne’s cosmetic set available to be bought for DC’s as well!



Zhoom’s Bow


Early in the Sandsea Saga, Zhoom gave you his bow to allow you to proceed in your quest to find the magic lamp. Zhoom’s Ancestral Bow is famed for its quality, still able to make precise shots like no other. With high Attack and Haste stats, its wielder can quickly overwhelm any monster that crosses their path! Who knows? Perhaps it will find a new owner by the end of this tale…



New Titles and Special Reward


Heroic efforts deserve equally heroic titles, right?! Show off your part in The Sandsea Saga and wear your titles with pride. You’ll receive the “Sandsea Protector” title upon completing the Saga.
Also, everyone’s favorite historian Nigel Fuzzybum has a special gift for those who have completed the Lost Sandsea Scrolls quest line: a Sandsea Scroll cosmetic weapon and the title “Dune Scroller”! Go see Nigel in Bastion and accept the quest called “A Token of Historical Appreciation” to receive your rewards.



Alpha Pirate Fiend JUST added to the collection!


Get the Alpha Pirate fiend armor set as pieces or a part of the 2021 Talk Like a Pirate Day collection. Woah, woah... wait. Did you already buy the collection? Then... congratulations, you already have it! You will find the entire set has already been added to your collection. This set is also a not-so-secret clue as to AdventureQuest 3D's upcoming new saga.

With the end of The Sandsea Saga, many of you may be wondering what’s next. The answer to that is… Mogloween! Keep an eye out for the spooky Cauldron named Myx who will arrive in Battleon next week to welcome you to Mystcroft and with the previous Mogloween collections. The Social District will also see a change as the Red Dragon goes into hibernation while Taculous and the rest of the Taco Day party moves in.
Down the pipeline… PVP goes live! If you haven’t been part of the testing on PTR, read this post on how to join. Also more of Sandsea awaits. A challenge version of the Finale boss fight, new Best In Stat armor set with +20 infusion, and a legendary weapon will be coming soon!

- Fixed certain effects not being consumed properly.
- Class switching and revive now starts with a defined amount of resource for the class.
- NPC AI will now try to prefer custom spells more over auto attacks.
- Resolved an issue with camera shake causing camera to not reset.
- Some minor UI adjustments and fixes.

What is Talk Like a Pirate Day?


Shiver me timbers! This coming Sunday (September 19th) is the official International Talk Like a Pirate Day (Or "TLAPD" if ye be one'o dem abbrever-inating scallywags). It is a one-day holiday where we... well, me matey, the name pretty much sums it up. All day long, kindly be talking like Pirates! Created by John Baur & Mark Summers, we have been celebrating it every single year across our video games. An insider secret, our video games were the first to celebrate this holiday... and have done it every year since 2003 when Captain Rhubarb suddenly appeared in-game.



2021 Collection


Th' collection be featurin’ two amazin' piratical sets crafted by our AQ3D artists, as well as a bony bird pet (Marrow), two extra fishin’ rods, and a travel form! Ye will also be obtainin' th' "Stranger Tides" title and badge with yer collection!
Ye can speak to Gunpowder Mary in Battleon (or Lolosia) to unlock this year's collection or grab some booty a'la carte from previous year's collections!

New quests? In Lolosia AND Yokai?!


That’s right! Go and talk to Requin (the crazy shark lady) to start the quest to find out what happened to the Dread Pirate Roberto. Speak to Blue Bart as well, and begin the hunt for the Cursed Fishing Rod, then try it out! We also added a new fishing location on one of the islands... just watch out for the walking shark… Finally, return to the mysterious island of Yokai and complete The Shiro Special to unlock Master Shiro’s Tsunamurai Shop.



Tsunamurai


Reach deep into your centre of being and become one with the waves in the Tsunamurai set. Channel the powers of the ocean and show your foes a tsunami of blades! Consult with Master Shiro in The Shadow Of The Wind Village about the "Shiro Special" to start earning the Tsunamurai Set.



Dread Pirate Roberto


The Dread Pirate Roberto was known as a dashing, fashionable rogue of a pirate, and while his manners are inimitable, you can at least dress like him! Talk to Requin to start unlocking the Dread Pirate Roberto’s Set now in the quest "Dreadful Pirate Tale"!

This week we’re swabbing the decks, hoisting the sails, and getting ready to fly the black flag, all in preparation for Talk Like a Pirate Day! Now that Pointe Less Isle is relatively shark free, Annette decided to head back to the beach. There also are two new item sets you’ll be able to find in treasure chests, and Gunpowder Mary is making her explosive return to Battleon! Read on to find out more...

Pointe Less Isle Shark Attack Ending


Thanks to your efforts, the sharks are retreating from Pointe Less Isle. Annette is heading back to enjoy the shark free beach, but what will they plan next year?

The team got together and decided the finale needs to be the best it can be, so we’re delaying it for a short while. We’re committed to quality, and hope you support us making this decision! After the epic conclusion of the Sandsea Saga, we’ll also be releasing new gear sets purchasable with Sandstorm Capstones (infuseable up to +20!), and another Challenge fight.
In the meantime... Talk Like a Pirate Day begins next week (around September 19th) with new quests and new rewards. And we’re finally ending the DC sale at Midnight on Tuesday the 14th (EST), so don’t miss out!

A Head above the rest


Get a-head with our new Kittarian (feline) and Zobekian (crocodile) head morphs added to AdventureQuest 3D. The Guardian Tower has also added a new armor set for the Mages in their ranks. And if you have caught up with the Sandsea Saga, you will recognize the oversized Djinn weapons Gaz is now selling for a limited time!

Head on over to Mysterious Johnson’s House of Oddities, or Gaz’s Black Market near the gates of Battleon right meow and purr-haps get your paws on one of the new Kittarian Head Morphs, or if you feel like croc-ing out, there’s the new Zobekian Head Morph too!

The Djinn's Challenge: The Labyrinth of Persistence


The Djinn’s Challenge


Khal-No’Bir has some new tricks up his sleeve in his new challenges, such as teleporting you out of his room, clouds of death throughout his labyrinth, and a timer that’s slowly ticking down to… Probably certain doom. Win the challenge, and you will be rewarded with Djinn Challenge Treasure! Khal-No’Bir also has a chance to drop some Epic new loot, such as Khal-No’Bir’s Crowned Turban and some Menacing Djinn weapons...



Gauntlet Match Challenge


Winning one battle can be a matter of luck, but can you handle successive victories in a day? Defeat Khal-No’Bir twice in a normal fight, and twice in the challenge fight, and you’ll be richly rewarded!



“Clear the Labyrinth of Persistence”


Khal-No’Bir has another quest for you… and this one you can repeat as many times as you please! Try to clear out his army of Spectral Mummies and Mummy Guards on your way to fight him in his Labyrinth, and earn Djinn Essence, gold, and valuable experience!



The Challenge


You’ve faced him once, but not at full power! Find your way through the twists and turns of The Labyrinth of Persistence, activate the crystals, and face the wrath of the Djinn once more. Watch out for his variety of Area of Effect attacks that deal massive damage, don’t stumble into the clouds of death throughout the labyrinth, and be ready for him to teleport you away. Make sure you stock up on potions, and don’t forget to dodge!

Joined an instance with just a few people? We’ve got some tips for How to Survive Khal-No’Bir:

  • Suggested Party Composition: at least one of each class type - healing, ranged, tank
  • Dodge the AOEs
  • Bring some potions
  • Don’t dally in the dungeon! Move quickly and get back to the fight.
  • Watch out for the death clouds in the labyrinth.



New drops and crafting


Defeat Khal-No’Bir in his NEW challenge to accrue Solar Djinn Stones. Use these to upgrade the Sun Keeper armor set you’ve spent the whole saga collecting into the new Fallen Sun Keeper set. However, you can only earn the accompanying sword from the Djinn Challenge. Each set piece features a +15 Infusion cap, putting this set on par with the Void Sharken set. And just in time for the Sandsea finale next month…

A suit of armor modeled after the one worn by Sairus, Sandsea’s fabled Keeper of the Sun. The Fallen color scheme symbolizes the Keeper’s fall from grace during her last days in Sandsea…

Sandsea Saga Part 8: The Djinn’s Labyrinth


The Djinn of the Lamp: Khal-No’Bir


With the lamp reassembled, you are now able to enter the Djinn’s chamber. Seek the Djinn of the lamp, Khal-No’Bir, within the Great Pyramid, navigate the labyrinth inside, and collect the four hidden crystals. Activate them to be granted entry to Khal-No’Bir’s chamber and defeat him. Deliver the final blow to him and the wish is yours...


The Labyrinth (Dungeon)


Getting to Khal-No'Bir won't be easy, as the Djinn waits for you at the end of a spellbinding labyrinth deep inside the Great Pyramid! To complete The Labyrinth, you must navigate through its treacherous multi-colored halls to find a means to power up the doorway to the Djinn's Chamber. Luckily for you, Lord Sekt is willing to impart on a clue that may help shine a light on your path to Khal-No'Bir...



Dungeon Rewards: The Keeper’s Treasure


The Keeper’s Treasure reward chest contains Djinn Essence (crafting material), with the possibility of additional items such as Mystical Djinn weapons and the final piece of the Sun Keeper set.

Rematch!


Turns out the Djinn comes with a Rematch Clause. This Daily quest rewards you with 10 Djinn Treasure if you can best him again. This treasure can be used to craft garments and accessories fit for a Djinn.

Use your Djinn Essence and Treasure to craft the Mystical Djinn armor set. The set includes:

  • Mystical Djinn Robes
  • Mystical Djinn Belt
  • Mystical Djinn Boots
  • Mystical Djinn Gauntlets
  • Mystical Djinn Shoulders


Camp Gonnagetcha has Returned!


Camp Gonnagetcha is here but there is no new Shrade and no camp war. You can craft all existing camp items now and still grind the Shrade monsters for those super rare drops. Just head to Yulgar’s Inn and talk to Dottie, the High ArchCounselor. New Friday the 13th content will now happen in the new evergreen (permanent) Cabin in the Globe.
Note: You may see a new Shrade-like monster pop up in Live Events, so keep an eye on our social media.

We're just a few weeks away from not only the story's conclusion, but also a new endgame challenge! This challenge will be your means to attain a new Best-In-Stat armor set with a +20 Infusion cap! And who knows, maybe there'll also be a Legendary weapon for you to find too... Guess we'll find out in September!
