Sneak Peek at the Endless Tower DLC Cut-Scene!

We'll also be releasing some more news, this month, about the changes to the "Auto Adventure" System and University as well!

1.0.07 Hotfix - Save Issue Resolution on 3/13

Our apologizes for no initial notes regarding this update.

We addressed a situation that was causing games to not save correctly. This hotfix may require an extra steps if you notice that your save games are still not saving as they should be. We noticed this was mainly related to the Tutorial System and Quests. If you were already past the Tutorial, and saving fine, then you were likely unaffected.

You can visit this thread with the information on the *issue and the extra registry fix that resolves it: http://steamcommunity.com/app/280320/discussions/1/610573751161088332/#p2

*Players that reported the issue to us and helped troubleshoot were given a free key for Adventurer Manager and an "IOU" key on our upcoming DLC, The Endless Tower!

It's our super-main-priority-top-goal here at VAStudios to take care of our community to the fullest of our ability. We appreciate everyone that takes their personal time to assist us with the resolution of any issue. Special shoutouts to Dennipoo700 and jwillie_berg!

Here's the current Patch Notes for what we have slated ready to go in this week. We're still working on a few major changes that aren't listed here yet and hope to have those completed in time to make it in.

Look for the official Endless Tower DLC announcement in March! Can't wait to share the full details!

Internal Changes & Upcoming Goals for AM

Greetings All,

I want to stop in and give everyone an update on our goals in 2015 for Adventurer Manager; along with a Studio Status Update.

We’ve been going through some ‘changing of the posts’ here at Vigilant Addiction Studios. Our wonderful crew that created Adventurer Manager, from just an idea, have had various personal reasons that caused them to be unable to continue work on Adventurer Manager. It was indeed sad for us to hear this, but of course understandable. However, this does -not- mean Adventurer Manager will no longer be updated. In fact, with due respect to our previous team, we see this as a chance to look at Adventurer Manager through fresh eyes (almost literally) and see what magic we can twist from it.

This brings me to an introduction. We’ve brought on the next best thing (person) possible to continue developing Adventurer Manager… Applesauce. Majicpanda will still be checking in from time to time, but in more of a background manner. Applesauce is now our lead developer on Adventurer Manager! We hope that this transition isn’t too bumpy, and we can’t promise that a bug or two won’t sneak into a build. But, you can be assured that we’ll be tackling all things with great zest.

We’re also currently filling the other positions on the Adventurer Manager team. Some are already in the process of going through the paperwork. The big challenge for us is finding that -someone- with the talent to match the current theme in Adventurer Manager; and potentially improve upon it. So, if you know of anyone with Artist Talent looking to get into the Industry, please send them our way.

On that note… these same people are going to be working on the future DLC of Adventurer Manager! The two main focuses we have right now are “The Endless Tower” and “Relationships and Housing” DLC. More information will be released regarding those later this month. We’ll also be researching and considering various Multiplayer aspects for the game; be that co-op and/or versus.

What about Mobile/Tablet versions? This is still a possibility and we have started our hiring process to begin work on a Mobile “Adventurer Manager: Lite” version (of sorts). It will focus on automation and simple upkeep of your Adventurers Stats and Equipment. We’re not sure, at this point, if it will have any interaction with the desktop version of the game.

What’s that mean for the base version of the game? We’re going to continue to update/patch the base version of the game with Improvements. A hot topic we want to focus on here is better/easier Management when players start to get more than 3-4 groups of Adventurers going. We know it’s a hassle to really keep tabs on all those Adventurers with the current UI layout/system. Second to that is Equipment Management and Recognition, along with other general polish to the game; like general S/FX for instance.

If you have suggestions and feedback for us to consider please share that with us in the Suggestions Forum! Thanks for being patient with us and we’re looking forward to getting these updates pushed out. It means a lot to us to have an engaging and respectful community to work with. :therogue:

Adventurer Manager is 25% off until Feb. 2!

Adventurer Manager is 25% off for one week from January 26 - February 2. If you've been holding back checking out the game, now's your chance to pick it up a bit cheaper! Happy 25% off Adventuring!

Just a few bug fixes after the holidays to get some major issues addressed. This fixes Cleric mobs which is a huge. Beware of Clerics actually using heal spells now!

  • Fixed a bug that prevented almost all Cleric mobs from healing. Expect a lot more heals to be used when monsters are low on health.
  • Fixed a bug causing the Elfia quest icon to be in the wrong location.
  • Fixed a bug causing Auto Adventure Speed in the castle scene to take gold and not upgrade the slot.
  • Fixed a bug causing the first passive of each Skill Tree to not be trainable if 5 skills are already owned.
  • Fixed a bug causing the equip button to not become available after resting.

Build 1.0.03 - Quality of Life Patch #2

A few more changes have been made before the holidays, so we wanted to go ahead and squeeze them into a patch to allow everyone to enjoy the game 1% better through the new year.

Thanks for all the great feedback since release on Dec. 4th!

    Gameplay
  • Arrow keys may now be used to move from room to room in dungeons.
  • Selecting an attack with only 1 allowed target now instantly attacks that target. If a short weapon is equipped and only 1 target is alive in the front row, it will be attacked. This also makes all self only skills instantly apply to the owner as well.

    Misc
  • The music volume when loading the game will now match the settings in game.

    Bugs
  • Selecting a specific gender to hire is now correctly working.
  • Fixed an issue with Castle upgrades not correctly showing until the client was restarted.
  • Fixed a bug causing party presets to not highlight slots 9-12 correctly.
  • Fixed a bug causing Sell All buttons in the Shops to ignore if an item was stashed or not.
  • Fixed a bug that resulted in monsters killed by reflect damage not processing Objective, Bestiary, or other mechanics to fire.

Build 1.0.02 - Quality of Life Patch #1

Adventurer Manager is now updated to version 1.0.02 which brings many fixes and quality of life improvements to the game based on player feedback.

A huge thank you to all of you for posting all your thoughts and feedback on the forums. It has been great seeing all the well thought out opinions, it shows us you really care. Please know that once everyone gets deeper into gameplay that more will come.

If you love the game please take the time to write a review or post some feedback on the Steam Discussion boards. It really helps our little indie studio improve! :)

Without further ado, here are the patch notes!

Gameplay

  • Adjusted the Recommended Gear Score required for dungeons 1-10 to better indicate the difficulty
  • Added the ability to hire Male, Female, or Random gender Adventurers
  • Lowered the Attribute bonuses on monsters to be equivalent to their level - 2, down from being equal to their level. The reason for change is to be more in line with how players acquire gear and allow for lower Gear Score requirements on quests
  • Added 4 more Party Presets to bring the total to 12

General

  • Added a tooltip to Ironman in the Game Select menu to explain the game mode
  • Removed the Invasion warning message from the Dungeon screen
  • Added a new Misc Options section to the Options menu
  • Hide Fast Forward warning messages added as an option
  • Clicking through Adventurers in the Character Sheet now wraps around instead of hitting a wall at the end and beginning
  • Clicking Equip while in a dungeon will only cycle Adventurers in the current party when clicking arrows
  • The sort order when clicking through Adventurers in the Character Sheet is now alphabetical instead of by hire date
  • Added the ability to access Adventurers from the Blacksmith for easy equipping after crafting
  • Added Rest time remaining to each Adventurer in the Adventurer list
  • Added the time left for University Training (if active) to each Adventurer in the Adventurer list. Any Adventurer currently not training will not show the icon or time remaining. When entering the University, the list of Adventurers is now sorted by time remaining low to high so that it is easier to identify who needs training
  • Tooltip added to the Game Time in the top bar to provide more information about its function
  • The Adventurer List on the World Map can now be sorted by primary Party Preset number. If an Adventurer belongs to more than one Preset, the default will be the lowest ID in which they belong
  • Upgrades Only filter in the Character Sheet modified to also show items of the same Gear Score
  • Added the last trained University Course to the info displayed in the Adventurer list located in the University screen

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug allowing Fast Forward to continue after entering a Dungeon if not stopped prior to entering
  • Fixed a bug allowing ESC to be pressed to close the Ruler Creation screen
  • Fixed a bug causing successfully defeated invasions to not display the summary screen with gold and loot awards
