Patch Notes 0.4.4

An update with several highly anticipated additions: a way to learn about your opponents' skills and a way to quickly start a new game with another group of villagers!

At the same time, we have also taken drastic measures to improve performances in game. Loading times are now much shorter, and minimum configurations should experience fewer crash issues after loading. We hope that players who were facing these problems will finally get to enjoy the game. These changes come with a slightly larger initial download size, hence the longer update installation compared to previous ones.

Version 0.4.4 should ideally be the last update of the early access, except for potential bug fixes. The multiplayer mode is progressing well, and we will now focus on finalizing it and adding content and improvements that will come with Aetheris 1.0!

NEW FEATURES:

- Added descriptions and icons for NPC skills in their character sheets
- Added a button in the pause menu to abandon during exploration and combat
- Added a setting to automatically skip interface animations
- Added a setting to disable edge scrolling with the mouse

BUG FIXES AND OPTIMIZATION:

- Drastically reduced loading times
- Optimized all graphic resources in the game
- Optimized the initial village loading when starting a new game
- Save locations leading to the village now correctly display the village as the current zone
- Fixed camera placement during the combat against the Augurs
- Fixed a bug allowing the suppression of a spirit in the sanctuary
- Fixed the post-combat item deletion phase that didn't prevent returning to exploration
- Optimized long battles with many summoned characters
- Fixed the save of the leader Vazard during exploration

IMPROVEMENTS:

- Numerous readability improvements in the interfaces
- Mystic Thunder now causes a screen shake
- New icons for numerous skills
- Added an official configuration for Steam Deck

Changes to performance may result in some minor graphical issues on certain elements of the game. If you encounter any, you can report them to us on the official Aetheris Discord server, where you'll have the opportunity to interact with the development team, as well as other players!
