Ok ok, the last update of 2019 for real now. lol. Weapon manager script done.

Finished writing the weapon manager script for the Age of Survival 2019 / 2020 updates.

Weapons can be crafted, drug to the hotbar, and then activated / deactivated with the appropriate keypress.

2d icons are placeholders and do not represent textures that will be in released builds.

I'm not much of an animator, so the weapon animations are fairly crude.

Last update for Age of Survival before 2020.

Inventory and crafting are fully working, and spawn building items. Damaging trees, rocks, and animals are working, and dead animals / trees/ rocks spawn loot items.

Next to write is the weapon manager portion of the damage script, and animate and bring in different weapons into the project, and the build will be ready for upload.

Age of Survival 2019 Updates : A new inventory system - basic functionality

Here is a video of the inventory script I am writing so far. It's basic right now.... You can show and hide it with a key press, you can run over an item to pick it up, and the icon for the item will show up in the inventory slots.

Yet to come : deleting an item / dropping an item, stacks, splitting stacks, using an item from your inventory to produce an effect to the player, and other previous inventory functionality.

The inventory system is slim, and designed to perform well and integrate perfectly with other game systems.

Video diplaying mesh objecs being placed on an infinite and procedurally generated voxel terrain.

Mesh objects can be placed anywhere in voxel space including overhangs and underhangs, and in floating areas of space because it is a true voxel engine.

AOS 2019 updates

It's been a while, but I am now active again on updating Age of Survval.

this video displays :

Infinitely generated voxel engine including multiple biomes.
Dynamic generated navmesh for smart AI movement.
Updated base building engine.
Updated time of day engine.
Updated AI and behavior.
Voxel engine, and AI use multi threading for very fast performance.


A playable update will be uploaded soon.

Status update

Just a quick update for the people who do still support the project :

It's not dead, like I have stated before. In the last year, unfortunately, I have had to stop focusing on development and work a normal fulltime job, as profits from age of survival could not support me or any other developer working full time to continue the project.

I am continuing development on the project in my free time, including a complete, from the ground up, build of the project for VR only. There have also been times where I have had to wait for certain technologies in unity3d to become available, as they just did not exist beforehand, like navmesh generation for very large terrains, or dynamic navmesh generation for infinite terrains.

I would like to bring you the main promised features, please do be aware on a one man team, with very limited funds,and even more limited time it will take a great deal of time for me to bring you updates. I have not forgotten the project, and frankly it was my baby for years before release and could never do that.



I do have to touch on wanting to develop also when I recieve threats, negative comments, etc through email, steam, my personal facebook page, and my personal youtube account. It doesn't make me a happy person, and if you put yourself in my shoes, after reading and deleting such negative comments off of my personal social media avenues it might make a person not want to communicate with the community on steam at the very least. I'm not telling anyone to stop saying what they are saying, but if you put yourself in my shoes you have to understand how low my motivation to help said people can be at times.

That is all, please consider that developers are human beings as well.


I have no timeline for updates unfortunately, but they will come.

Multiplayer added to new terrain engine tech demo

- Added simple multiplayer to the infinite terrain tech demo. You can now log in and knife each other.

- will add animals, resources and items in the next update.

New Infinite Terrain Tech Demo

- New launch option added for new infinite terrain tech demo.

- New terrain engine is a procedural, infinite terrain. You can eventually run into other islands after swimming.

- New ocean shader.
