CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.9:



- Finally, we finished the work of improving the maps, both at the level of collider and navigation of the units.

The maps affected by this update are:
1) The graveyard
2) The factory
3) Genetics laboratory
4) The headquarter
5) The outpost
6) The mall


- We tried to fix a bug about the info box in the scene where you set the quick battle.
If you had this bug, please give us feedback, thanks!


In the next update, we hope to implement the Hell Mode and to add a way to make AOU playable in a tower defense style, i.e. by increasing the number of defenses the player can deploy.

5) The snowy mountains

We want to implement the feature that the player can also play AOU in a tower defense style.
Anyway, we'll think about it after we finish the full map update.

Age of Undead update to version 1.0.6!

Hello, Generals!


CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.6:



- For this update, we have focused on improving map colliders and optimizing units' navigation in areas full of obstacles, such as forests or urban areas.
We realized this would take longer than expected to be completed properly, so the following 3-4 updates will also have the same target.

The maps affected by this update are:
1) The crossroad
2) A quiet town
3) The wooded mountain
4) The gorge
5) A small city
6) The swamp


- You have reported that moving the view by moving the cursor to the edges of the screen could be unpleasant for some users.
Consequently, we have inserted an option to deactivate this feature. However, the feature will remain active by default, so you must deactivate it yourself if it bothers you.



As mentioned, we will focus on the "technical" improvement of the maps for now, but if you need quick changes, do not hesitate to let us know, and we will find a way to include them (if possible) in the next update.


Question: In a zombie apocalypse, would you rather take refuge in a freezing or very hot place? Where do you think the infected would be more disadvantaged than humans?

Age of Undead update to version 1.0.5!

Hello, Generals!


CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.5:




- As you asked, we have added the camera scroll function: by moving the mouse along the edges of the screen, the camera moves.
Give us some feedback to know if it works correctly for you and if the distance of the mouse trigger from the edges is fine.

- We fixed some issues with the pop-up info box: it should now work better and always be visible to the player.
Please let us know if there are still problems with the place where the box appears.

- We fixed some bugs in the Quick Battle panel that didn't allow the info box related to the selected slider to be seen.

- Some missing descriptions have been added... some oversights can always happen!



Someone was rightly intrigued by the addition of a new mode in Quick Battle, the HELL Mode, and asked us for some information.
This mode should be available around September; we are still brainstorming on how to create remarkable but still balanced and enjoyable chaos for the player.

The difficulty of game development is not the content creation but the balancing.

We invite you to join our brainstorming for the realization of the HELL Mode; we will create a special discussion in the Community so that you can give us your valuable opinion.

Age of Undead update to version 1.0.4!

Hello, Generals!


CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.4:



- In this update, we have focused on adding a feature you have asked us about more than once: the Sandbox mode!
As you might imagine, this mode is designed to give the player maximum freedom in testing units and tactics without the hassle of thinking about resources.

In the Sandbox mode, the player will have the following benefits:
- unlimited resources
- buildings are built faster
- recruiting takes less time
- Tactical Aids reload in less time

Other players (bots) will not receive any bonuses in this mode.


We have also added another thing, not interactive for now, but we hope it will intrigue you and stimulate your imagination!

Age of Undead update to version 1.0.3!

Hello, Generals!
This summer is extremely hot in Italy! How are things on your end?


CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.3:



- At your request, we have implemented the possibility of adding the selected units to an already existing group of units.
For example, if you have created a group by selecting troops and pressing “Left Ctrl + 1”, you can now add more troops to it.
How do you do it? Select the troops you want to add and then press Left Shift + the number of the group you want to add them to.

- Previously, if you assigned multiple constructions to a sapper, he would abandon the one he was currently building to go to the last one you gave him to.
You let us know this dynamic was not very loved, so we transformed it in a “traditional” way: now the sapper will go to the first construction you place, moving on to the others only when he finishes the first one.

- Another change following your report: we have inverted the colors of the weapon selected in First Person Support to make the control more intuitive.

- Many have reported the Rifleman and Machine gunner are too similar.
We would like to make the Machine gunner a sort of Rifleman suitable for closer combat. With this in mind, we have changed the range and normal damage.



KNOW ISSUES:



- Some have encountered this problem when playing as Infected in the Campaign: victory in some types of battles will result in a defeat once you return to the Campaign map.
We did some tests, but we didn't encounter this problem, so if this happens to you, please give us as much information as possible to fix the bug. Thank you very much!


We have a lot of new ideas in mind, guys, but first, we want to make the gameplay as smooth as possible.

We would love to hear if you have new ideas on how to balance the various units!

Hello, Generals!
Although it is Sunday, we have been working on releasing a quick update to fix some minor UI bugs and increase the units' balance.


Changes in version 1.0.2:



- In the units' and buildings' info, the value of the armor was incorrectly expressed in decimals; now is expressed in percentages.
NOTE: We will release a post shortly explaining how armor and penetrating damage in AOU works.

- The first-person support hit marker has been made more visible for all types of support.
We would love to hear from you if you find it more visible now and if you like this game mode.

- The cost of the following units has been balanced, especially in Food and Metal.

DEMO VERSION for Age of Undead !!!

Hello Generals!

To all the Generals that are sitting on the fence without joining us in the fight against the zombie apocalypse, today we are giving you a treat: a DEMO version that will allow you to evaluate how dangerous the undead are personally!

It's our first-ever DEMO, so if you find any bugs, please be patient and report them as soon as possible so we can fix them.


WHAT YOU CAN TRY:



- You will be able to face all the tutorials except the one relating to the Campaign:
1) Battle Tutorial.
2) Tactical Support Tutorial.
3) Air Support Tutorial.
4) First Person Support Tutorial.

- You will be able to play some Quick Battles as many times as you want; but being this a demo, there are some limitations:
You will have at your disposal:
1) You can play with the Military Forces faction.
2) 2 battle maps.
3) 3 types of battles.
4) Most units.
5) All buildings.
6) Almost all defenses.
7) Half of the tactical supports.
8) A couple of first-person tactical supports.


WHY THIS DEMO?



We at Insane Dreamers firmly believe in our product, especially its gameplay.
Some people criticize the graphics; others criticize the price.
We understand their motives, but we have ours too.

Our main focus will always be the gameplay, and the fun, giving graphics a certainly important but secondary role: it is sad to play a game with photorealistic graphics but a total absence of fun.

The price isn't as low as it was for Home Wars, but we feel it's consistent with the multitude of features it offers.
The graphics are indeed not at the same level as those of other titles in the same price range, but the contents AOU gives you are much more than in an average RTS and are very differentiated.
Probably in no RTS you will find a Strategic Campaign, 9 different types of battle (for now), and an “FPS” system that allows you to support your allies from the comfort of your aircraft at high altitude!
The replayability of Age of Undead is much higher than in titles of the same genre, guaranteed!

We hope you enjoy the gameplay of this DEMO and that it will intrigue you enough to purchase the full version of the game.
