It's time for a new Development Diary! We not only focus on great gameplay but also realism, and what can add more realism than featuring real airline companies in the game? Month after month, we acquire new partners, utilizing their knowledge and equipment models to bring you even closer to a real airport experience. But what exactly does the role of a person responsible for partner relations entail? Andrzej will tell you more about it in our Dev log!
Working at an airport requires a lot of precision, and time is crucial. The team working on the airport apron has various equipment to assist with tasks related to aircraft, but is there something that helps with time management? In the game AirportSim, we have prepared a special Tablet for you, which will be with you at all times, enabling you to quickly and efficiently handle your tasks. But is that all?
Aside from being a simulator, AirportSim is also a computer game, so it's important for us to ensure smooth and satisfying gameplay alongside realism. That's why we have come up with and introduced the tablet, which will be your right-hand companion and eliminate the need to step away from "work" to check something or make changes.
Tablet Features
Time and Weather Control With this feature, you will be able to decide the current weather conditions and manipulate time according to your needs, anytime and anywhere. We strive to provide an immersive experience while playing, so there's no need to change these settings in the game options. Simply use the device, which is your main assistant during gameplay.
Map
The airport is constantly bustling, and during intense gameplay, it's easy to lose track of what's happening. That's where the map function comes in. At any moment, you can use it to examine the placement of aircraft and your own position, allowing you to plan your next actions accordingly.
Operations
The airport is always in motion, and you need to think several moves ahead. This is where the preview of upcoming operations at the airport will help you. Knowing when a particular aircraft needs to depart and when the next ones will arrive is crucial for airport staff, and thanks to the tablet, you'll have all the information at your fingertips.
Tasks
When the airport is less busy, you can manage without assistance, but what about when there are more aircraft? Each arriving plane presents multiple tasks, which can be overwhelming during high traffic. Here again, the tablet comes to your aid. It provides an overview of ongoing operations, allowing you to double-check what needs to be done for each specific aircraft at any given moment.
The tablet is a versatile device that will be your main ally in the game AirportSim. Remember to take good care of it ;)

Jetways: Enhancing Air Travel Experience and Airport Efficiency
Embarking on a journey through the skies is an exhilarating experience, made even more delightful by the presence of jetways. These marvels of engineering, also known as aerobridges or passenger boarding bridges, have revolutionized the way we board and deplane from aircraft. Join us as we explore the captivating world of jetways, unveiling their fascinating features and the numerous benefits they bring to passengers and airports alike.
Evolution and Origin: Bridging the Gap
Step back in time to 1959, a pivotal moment in the history of air travel. At the Newark Liberty International Airport, the Goodyear Aircraft Corporation unveiled the very first jetway, forever transforming the way we embark on our aerial adventures. Gone were the days of tarmac walks; the jetway emerged as a sophisticated and enclosed walkway, bridging the gap between passengers and aircraft.

Flexibility and Adaptability: The Ever-Adjusting Corridors
Jetways are masters of adaptation, capable of accommodating aircraft of various sizes and types. Connected to the airport terminal by flexible corridors, they extend and retract effortlessly, reaching the aircraft's doors with grace. This remarkable flexibility empowers airports to efficiently handle a wide range of planes, ensuring smooth operations and seamless transitions.
Safety Measures: A Steady Passage
Safety is of paramount importance in the realm of jetways. As you traverse these enclosed walkways, sturdy handrails guide your way, offering a reassuring grip. Non-slip surfaces ensure surefooted steps, regardless of weather conditions. Equipped with emergency lighting, jetways stand ready to navigate through low-light situations, ensuring passenger security and peace of mind.
Streamlined Operations: Efficiency at its Finest
Jetways play a pivotal role in streamlining airport operations. By providing a dedicated pathway for boarding and deplaning, they minimize turnaround times between flights. This efficiency enhances overall airport capacity, reducing delays, and leaving passengers with more time to embark on their journeys with ease.
In conclusion, jetways have transformed air travel, bridging the gap between passengers and aircraft. They prioritize comfort, adapt to different planes, ensure safety, and streamline airport operations. Jetways are an indispensable feature of modern airports worldwide, enhancing the journey to the skies. So, next time you walk through a jetway, take a moment to appreciate the engineering marvel that elevates your travel experience.
