AirportSim Development Roundtable #2

Another Roundtable is coming up!🎬 As we talked about in our last meeting, we want to keep you in the loop with what we're doing on airportsim, and what's better than chatting with the devs?👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ Our meeting will be held on 🔴April 19th at 8:00 PM CET🔴 on the MS Games YouTube channel. This time, we'll share some juicy details on how we gather knowledge and materials from real airports for the game, and we'll also answer your questions and hear your suggestions. See you on the stream! 🤚

From Gagarin to Concorde: The Impact of Human Space Flight on Aviation

Today marks the 62th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's historic orbit of the Earth - an event that not only opened the doors to human space exploration, but also had a significant impact on the aviation industry.

In the early 1960s, aircraft were still the primary mode of transportation for long-distance travel. However, the race to space between the United States and the Soviet Union had a profound impact on the aviation industry, particularly in the development of faster and more advanced aircraft.

Gagarin's historic flight inspired a renewed focus on developing supersonic passenger jets that could travel at speeds of up to twice the speed of sound. The most notable of these was the Concorde, a joint venture between British Aerospace and France's Aerospatiale that was capable of flying from London to New York in just over three hours. The Concorde was seen as the pinnacle of aviation technology at the time, and its development was partially driven by a desire to keep up with the rapid advancements being made in space exploration.

But the impact of human space flight on aviation extends beyond just the development of faster aircraft. Many of the technological and scientific advancements made in space exploration have also been applied to aviation, particularly in the area of safety.

For example, advanced materials developed for spacecraft have also been used to improve the safety and durability of aircraft. Better navigation systems and weather forecasting have also been developed thanks to advancements in space technology.

Moreover, the intense training and preparation required for space travel have also had an impact on aviation safety. Astronauts undergo rigorous physical and mental training to prepare for the demands of space travel, and this same level of training and preparation has been adopted in the aviation industry to ensure the safety of pilots and passengers alike.

So while the achievements of human space flight are truly remarkable, they also have a ripple effect on other industries - including aviation. The innovations and advancements made in space exploration have helped shape the aviation industry into what it is today, and it's a testament to the human spirit of exploration and innovation.

Meet the AirportSim Partners: Goldhofer

Welcome to the exciting partnership between AirportSim Game and Goldhofer, the world leader in oversized cargo transport, known for their innovative tow tractors used for pushing back airplanes.
Goldhofer's story began over three centuries ago in a blacksmith shop near Memmingen, and since then, the company has grown into a global leader in heavy-duty transport solutions.

How did it begin?

In 1952, Goldhofer, in collaboration with tire manufacturer Metzeler, developed the first lowbed trailer that could be loaded with ramps, which catapulted the company's success in oversized cargo transport, including the pushing back of airplanes.

What does this mean for players?

In AirportSim, players get the opportunity to tame the mighty Goldhofer BISON D1000, which is a part of a comprehensive range of aircraft tow tractors that can handle passenger and cargo aircraft between 150 and 600 tonnes.

With the BISON D1000 as a featured model in AirportSim, players get a chance to experience the power of this unstoppable powerhouse firsthand. It is capable of towing aircraft like the Airbus A320neo or 737 MAX, both of which will be present in the game. So put on your working gloves, grab hold of the BISON's steering wheel, and get ready to push back those airplanes, because as we learned, those airplanes won't push back themselves.

This partnership between AirportSim and Goldhofer brings an exciting and realistic experience to players, highlighting the importance of reliable and efficient ground support equipment in the aviation industry.

Meet the AirportSim Partners: Enter Air

Partnering With The Best

As we have quite often mentioned, cooperating with our partners is a great way to make our simulation game as life-like as possible. Not only by using brands and logos of companies, but also by gathering valuable information and feedback from their employees and having the possibility to conduct in-depth research of their products and operations, which later are implemented in AirportSim.

Welcome Aboard, Enter Air!

Today, we are inviting you to meet Enter Air, which may sound familiar to you if you have played our AirportSim demo. They’re a Polish charter airline, founded in 2009. Currently, it is the biggest such company in Poland and the second-largest airline in its region, with 7 permanent operational bases in Europe. The inaugural Enter Air flight was performed on 25 April 2010 with a flight from Warsaw to the Tunisian airport - Enfidha. What is worth mentioning - Enter Air owns its own crew training center.

Enter Air uses Boeing 737 aircraft, which are ones of the most popular airplanes used on charter routes. In AirportSim, you will enjoy ground handling the 737 MAX 8 model in the Enter Air livery. Nice, right?

Partners = Better Gaming Experience

Enter Air and our other partners provide invaluable help with developing the best ground crew simulator out there. Stay tuned for more information about other great brands involved in partnership with us. We have a feeling that you are going to like them and will likely already have heard of them 🙂

Roundtable awaits! Join us for another Q&A session.

Question. Answer.

We’ve heard your plea: MORE Q&A! And we are happy to announce that our next Q&A session is almost here. And this time, we are taking things one level higher, because there will not be one or two members of our team answering your questions…

Wait… Who, where, when?
