Akumi Wars 0.0.13 – Zone 6: Vermis


Updates:


• Inventory now has a 200 skill/material limit and 80 rune limit. You can still get more than the limit BUT you’ll only be able to get “first time” rewards until you sell some items to make more space. This is to avoid memory overload. Too many skills in the inventory is causing too much lag. New capacity statuses for: skills, runes and materials
• Added Game Save slots. You can now save up to 4 separate games. Pressing play will play the first game created.
• You can now preview general rewards and first time rewards on each battle node. Currencies and rune icons will be displayed as rewards. Question mark icons will represent skill/material rewards. Face icon represents hero rewards.
• New Hero display background art when inspecting heroes.
• Bonus Tirax quests added to Deadlands.
• Colosseum: You now gain gold for every wave defeated after the wave 3. Death Matriarch/Lich Queen removed from final wave spawn.
• New hero rewards for Zone 3: Dwarf Rifleman, Dwarf Beam Turret, Chief Engineer. (Fixed Dwarf Rifleman’s display name. Was labeled as engineer.)
• Eleanor replaced with Demon Mage in Spug Gateway node.
• Lester added back as reward in Stoneshore boss fight.
• Caddeus shop locked until completion of Avalon node.
• Cuttlefish blind skill duration reduce to 1 turn cooldown increased to 4 turns.
• Zombie Rogues drop as one playable character with unlockable skins
• Autumn and Ember fire mage now changed to elf race. We’re labeled as human.
• Atticus: Now only has “Hellraiser” proc before death on a 10 turn cooldown. Before he was self resurrecting in multiple situation.
• Atticus now has a small chance to get possessed attack allies during his default attack.
• Gwen bio update

Custom Skills:


• Vampirism and Chad’s Protection: added 2 turn cooldown. (All skills need a cooldown so not to get stuck in a loop in auto-battle.)
• Tempest Storm now has lower tier custom skill variants obtainable in earlier zones.
• Perfect Skull healing debuff reduced to 30% max stacks: 3. Normal Skull healing debuff reduced to 20% max stacks 3.
• Cleave, Cleave Burn now reveal stealth enemies.
• Burnout changed to Burnout Aura: Burnout Aura causes the caster and all allies to activate any burns on enemies immediately damaging them.
• Fire Ignite: (Active Skill) Activates all burns on your target immediately damaging them.
• Death Marker: Duration reduced to 2 turns.
New Custom Skills:
• Fiend Fire: At the end of duration, burns 10% of target's max health. Refreshing stacks will activate burn damage. Also reduces 10% turn meter.
• Fiend Blood: At the end of duration, bleeds 10% of target's max health. Refreshing stacks will activate bleed damage. Also reduces attack and 5% turn meter.
• Fiend Poison: At the end of duration, poisons 10% of target's max health. Refreshing stacks will activate poison damage. Also reduces healing and 5% turn meter.
• Unbreakable: Give 20% physical & magic defense plus 5% resistances to yourself and allies each time you defend. Max stacks: 50 Attacking dispells all buffs on yourself. Every 3 turns, taunt all enemies. Gain bubble shield when hit every 2 turns.
• Eternal Silence: Silence any target you attack.
• Eternal Taunt: Taunts a target you attack.
• Eternal Aura: All allies gain invincibility every 5 turns for 1 turn. Before death casts Undeath on self allowing you to resurrect. Cooldown: 5
• Eternal Smite: Increases critical damage 5%. Max stacks: 100
• Eternal Sunder: All attacks increase damage received by target by 10%. Max stacks: 50
• Chaos Sickness: Chaos sickness, a terrible fate. The process of tainting it's target, it weakens but does not kill. Reducing the target's remaining health by 50%.

This is the last zone of Akumi Wars! Now we will go through the entire game and add polish. Tighten things up and make it as great as we can. More on our plans coming soon. Next week we will release this build to Kickstarter backers to play!

Akumi Wars 0.0.12 – Zone 5: Deadlands – Patched 2

Updates:

• Added “back” button back to shop. Button went missing after some UI updates.
• Fixed Leatherhead and Atticus bugs. Leatherhead was using Bubbu’s turn buff skills. Atticus can now cause extinction when he kills with his bleed or poison DoTs.

• Colosseum: Removed Elf Cultist and Privateer from final boss spawn. Chance for multiple boss spawns lowered on all waves. Chance of Lich Queen/Death Matriarch spawns lowered. Upon wave 3, gain gold and a random lvl 20 heroic rune.
• Marion Magic Missiles description fixed. “Fires 5 magic missiles at random targets. The first target hit will have damage amplified against them.”
• When the Dreadfiend boss is defeated, all his allies will die.
• Removed Death Curse from player Dreadfiend, Atticus’s, ultimate attack.
• Removed “Extinction” attacks from paladins.

Patch Notes:


• Skill info now includes whether it is a “Physical” or “Magical” attack.
• Gwen hero reward and Book Of the Undead skill moved to the Deadlands. No longer available from Colosseum or Cragkeep boss. Miltonius and Death (DEV) skill rewards removed from Cragkeep boss. Moving towards a more pure play through of the game. Cheats are still available.
• Cragkeep’s zone boss now drops Dwarf King Crag as a “first time” drop reward. Meaning, he will not drop if you’ve already beaten him. Will require a reset.
• Grove Fairy nerfs: Lowered health. Poison does 1% (Was 5%) of max health. Max stacks: 10
• Nyssa’s zone 1 node incentive fixed. Name change caused bug where you could not complete incentive.
• Moro and Okami now drop as level 25. We’re dropping as level 1.

New Skills:

• Holy Relic: Holy moly, this used to belong to a powerful paladin. Your attacks on undead and demons now stun and burn them with holy fire!
• Unholy Sacrifice: Sacrifices caster's life instantly to an old god who will destroy and enemy of your choice after 5 turns. Equipping this, prevents you from resurrecting.
• Grave Marker: This relic applies an extinction debuff on all enemies! If a target is killed with this debuff, they cannot resurrect.
• Reaper Curse: At the end of duration, does 10% of target's max health. Max stacks: 10 Refreshing stacks will activate curse damage. Also reduces healing. (Cannot be removed)

Custom Skill Changes:
• Rage: Damage increased from 10% to 20%. Max Stacks: 20
Gain extra rage when critically hit.
• Titan Wall gives titan defense to whole team for 2 turns.
• Vampirism no longer has a cooldown for consuming blood on your target to heal.

Akumi Wars 0.0.11 – Zone 4: Halcyon Forest


Patch Notes:
• Damage number colors: physical dmg=white, magic dmg=blue, critical dmg=orange
• On map, in general: white text=main story, yellow text=bonus, green text=shops, orange text= last boss
• New particle effects for Eleanor and Fara’s ultimates, Toxic Maelstrom. VFX by Tulio.
• Reward choices working again. (Broke after implementing a new feature that stopped duplicate hero/enemy rewards.)
• Support Passive: When an ally dies, gain 100% turn meter. No cooldown. When enemy dies cleanses 3 debuffs from party. Cooldown: 1
• Elves passively have extra high magic defense. Magic damage is represented by blue numbers. Physical by white numbers.
• Paladins cannot used custom resurrection skills till lvl 40
• Algaffofthe’s ultimate range changed to 3. (Was range 1.)
• Braxus, Algaf and Tirax’s second skill “Bash” attacks range increased to 2. (Was range 1.)
• Akumi Warden renamed Sandra. Twin sister of Deandra. Her ultimate skill now also dispels all enemy buffs that are removable.
• Burning Force now causes stun 1 turn instead of knockdown. Cooldown: 2 ( Was causing a meter turn-lock. Possible to have enemies never take a turn. )
• Meka Drone now has Taunt on default attack. Cooldown: 2. All his attacks increase in damage with his physical defense stat. His ultimate now focuses a single target. All attacks increase Meka Drone’s physical defense.
• Bounty Hunter’s class passive now grants 10% turn meter on critical hits. (Was granting attack speed stacks.)
• Heroes with shields: When defending, blocking increased 40% 1 turn. Max stacks: 2

New Custom Skills
• Tempest Storm: Lighting strikes the lowest health enemy with 30% of your target’s max health, burning them with a chance to stun. It can also reveal stealth targets. (Cannot Miss)
• Arcane Blast: Mages have always found ways to manipulate energy. All your hits will build up your magic defense. Activate to launch an arcane blast that does 40% of your magic defenses as damage. Killing a target will cause Extinction.
• Death Seal: A powerful strike that does more damage the more health the target has lost! This attack also applies a debuff (Extinction) that will stop all spells that resurrect the target! Rest in peace, forever!
• Demon Hunter: Demon Hunters focus their entire life on slaying hell demons, marking them to take 100% more damage. You are also healed by fire and burning! Activate to burn yourself to heal!
• Defender: All damage taken increases physical defense 50% and blocking 1%.(Blocking reduces all damage 75%) Max stacks: 30 Activate to gain 40% block for 1 turn. (Cannot be dispelled)
• Rage: Each time you are attacked you gain 10% increased attack. Max stacks: 20. Activate to gain Battle Frenzy giving you 100% increased attack 1 turn.
• Resistance Breaker: Passively increases your resistance penetration significantly. Tired of seeing that “Resisted” popup? Activate to reduce all enemy resistances significantly allowing you to land your debuffs more consistently! Skill obtainable through upgrading “Crystalized Resistance” skill.
• Stalwart Defense: Activatable skill. You learn the secret defenses of the Dwarves! Stalwart Defense is now in your strategic arsenal to use at will! Does not stack with similar skills.

“Pet” Skills (Pets only visible in battle)
• Cuttlefish: A cuttlefish follows you into battle. Anyone that attacks you is blinded, reducing their accuracy 30%. Activate to blind all enemies, reducing their accuracy 75%!
• Cleansing Bot: Nothing like a nice cleansing at the spa. Akumi is “borrowing” this one. When in battle, this little drone will follow you and passively cleanse 1 debuff from all allies each turn. Removing stuns, taunts, poisons, burns and bleeds. Activate it to cleanse all debuffs from allies! (Now part of the starting skills)
• Fairy Pet:A fairy has grown a liking to you. It will cleanse 2 debuffs from your allies each turn! Magic defense increased 8000%! You also gain 30% speed!
• Pixie Pet: A pixie has grown fond of you. It will cleanse 1 debuffs from your allies each turn! Magic defense increased 6000%! You also gain 20% speed!
• Mana Worm: ???
• Mana Fly: ???

Custom Skill Changes
• Vengeance Idol now adds 50% turn meter as well as 100% attack for each ally that dies. Max stacks: 4
• Resuscitate now make resurrected slow 2 turns. (Was making caster slow.)
• Emerald passive heals reduced. Chipped 2%, Normal 4%, Perfect 6%
The passive increase in healing and healing received it provides on top of the self healing was making the passive self heals overpowered.
• Burnout: Burnout will activate any burns on your target immediately. (Cooldown: 1)
• Inspiration Idol: When you defeat an enemy, you are healed for a portion of your max health and gain 25% turn meter!
• Inspired Speed: When you defeat an enemy, your speed is increased 30% for 2 turns and gain 50% turn meter.
• Inspire: Inspire a party member, granting them full turn meter. In turn, you gain 50% turn meter.
• Poison Eater: Will reduce direct damage 1 turn, further enhancing the heals from poison attacks.
Status Changes:
• Most DoTs will now stack. Meaning, some Dots will no longer apply if a similar DoT is already active. Example: If you burn a target with one hero and another hero uses a similar burn, the burn will be added to the burn stack.

New Status/Proc Rules:
1) Max 2 Status effects per skill (Only statuses that create an icon over the health bar count as a status.)
2) Max procs per hero/enemy: 1-2
3) Max duration: 2
4) On occasion, some heroes may break these rules. Some custom skills can also break these rules.
5) Limiting text pop-ups when possible.

• Overhaul on all hero/enemy statuses and procs using the new rules above.

Akumi Wars 0.0.10 - Soft-lock/ Ghost-hitting Patch #2

Patch Notes:

• Attempting to fix soft-locks and ghost-hits.
• Tirax is changed to Guardian class. (Was Paladin class.)
• Guardian Potion is renamed "Liv Potion" now procs heal over time 3 turns. Cooldown: 1
• Cursed Hide applies curse to their attacker. No cooldown.
• Poison Aura applies poison to their attacker. No cooldown.

Akumi Wars 0.0.10 - Soft-Lock Fix

Patch Notes

  • Fixed soft-lock/ battle freeze that was happening after a hero killed an enemy and also after the Ship Snipe skill killed an enemy.
  • Gwen’s Devour now applies death curse to all enemies does 30% of their max health after 1 turn. It also cast Unoly heal on Gwen for 3 turns.
  • Tirax is now Undead. Will return to life after death with 40% health. If protected by invincible, Undead will still proc for 3 turns.
  • Gem requirements adjusted now that leveling is easier.
    Chipped Gem (Common lvl 1-10) Normal Gem (Uncommon 10-20) Perfect Gem (Rare 20-30)
  • Gold Nugget and Galdolium Ore now consider material and not skills. Materials cannot be equipped.

Akumi Wars 0.0.10 – Experience Bug Fix Patch

Bug Fixes

  • Experience gain is dependent on your level and the enemy’s level. Gaining experience should be much more generous and fluid
  • Severe lag bug when traveling from Spug City to Cragkeep Mountains fixed. It was a repeating camera pan that never stopped if you skipped the cutscene.
  • Incentives are now saved each run through. Colosseum incentives are now completable. Which means Tirax can be unlocked.

New Features:

  • Hero rewards now display the hero's stats.
  • Rune Fusion shop added to Cragkeep Mountains. Unlocks after Grizzlespit’s upgrade shop. Take any 3 runes and fuse them for a chance at a stronger rune. This consumes the 3 runes used. The power of the 3 runes that we’re fused will determine the potential upgrade of the new rune.
  • Fara is now “Undead” will come back to life with 40% life when killed. If protected by invincible, the Undead passive will continue to proc for 3 turns. Cooldown: 7
  • Liv’s second skill “Heal Potions” heals 40% of lost health upon casting.
  • Drone’s second skill “Battle Ready” heals 40% of lost health upon casting.
  • Ironhide: All damage received increases physical defenses and resistances 30% and 5% magic defense. Max stacks: 20
  • New custom skill, Dragonskin: All damage received increases magic defenses and resistances 30% and 5% physical defense. Max stacks: 20 (Can be found in shops.)
  • New custom skill, Vengeance: For each ally that dies, you gain 100% attack for 2 turns. Max stacks: 10 (Inspired by Caddeus idea) (Can be found in shops.)
  • Liv’s “Guardian Potion” should be more balanced with the Ironhide change. Previously, Ironhide gained 30% physical AND magical defense along with resistances which at max stacks negated all damage types. This made the guardian potion extremely effective. (Can be found in shops.)
  • Miltonius any damage received, silences the attacker 1 turn.
  • Jade and Max heroes now have voice audio from the Akumi Xtreme episodes.

Akumi Wars 0.0.10 - Cragkeep Patch

Patch Notes:


Limiting mass proc skills. My computer runs the game well and even I was experience huge slowdowns because of the mass proc calculations happening.

Heroes

  • All Guardian and Paladin default skill taunts will ignore resists.

  • Paladin’s will now always stun undead targets and cast Holy Fire on the same target for more damage.

  • Azumi’s Ultimate: strikes a single target six times for 5% ( was 15% ) of target's max health. The fifth hit stuns a random enemy while the last hit activates all burns and knocks a random enemy. Shock burn duration reduced from 2 to 1.

  • Molly’s default skill range increased from 1 to 2. Piracy: All Molly's attacks will steal a buff and apply it to herself with each hit. Stealing a team buff will apply the stolen buff to her whole team. Quick Wit: When critically, hit gains full turn meter. Adrenaline: At 50% health, Molly gains “Lucky Dodge”, significantly increasing her dodge and resistance 3 turns. Cooldown: 4. Focused: All attacks increase her critical hit chance and critical damage 10%. Max stacks: 10)

  • Skeez’s default attack gives double Gambit bonus with each shot. Gambit: 4% increased critical chance ( was 2%) and 2% critical damage (was 1%) for each attack he does. Max stacks: 40.) Accuracy debuff removed.
    Skeez’s “Boomstick” skill gets an extra turn afterwards. Removed Critical chance bonus.
    Skeez’s Ultimate: shoots a single target 5 times doing bonus damage for 30% of the target's lost health. These shots can knock the target down. Each shot also increases his turn meter by 10%.
    At 75% health, Skeez gains “Lucky Dodge”. Significantly increasing his dodge and resistance 3 turns. Cooldown: 4

  • Jade’s “Scattershot”: Jade shoots 3 bolts at a single target. The first shot dissolve target's bubble shield. Her last hit will remove all buffs. A second target will also be burned with each shot.
  • Jade’s “Hadron Collider” skill no longer pierces. Jade fires a bolt at her target that will knockdown and remove all buffs. Will burn a second target with the lowest health. Ignores shields and cannot miss.

  • Akumi Defender default skill range increased 1 to 2. Her ultimate range increased from 2 to 3. Her “Ironhide Taunt” will now ignore resists.

  • Akumi Warden’s “Dampening Strike” will now reduces a single target’s attack -80% 1 turn. It will also remove any bubble shields and prevent bubble shields for 2 turns. Her default skill and second skill range increased 1 to 2.


Enemies

  • Dwarf resistances majorly reduced. Skills: Reconstruct, Repairs, Invincible and all major defense buffs are on a long cooldowns. Resistances reduced. They can be taunted now. Still immune to stuns.

  • Demonkiss no longer has invincible before death. Resurrect allies on longer cooldown and no longer gives extra turn.

  • Demonkiss Shade’s resurrect allies on longer cooldown and no longer gives extra turn. Ultimate on a long cooldown

  • Spug Grunts proc fewer buffs when healed. Lower health pool.

  • Spug Sprite’s, Natural Cleanse, will now heal 40% of lost health.

  • Spug Guardians no longer precast attacks. Removed mass healing and shielding.

  • Spug Defender will precast mass bubble shields

  • Tecnic gains Battle Frenzy and Superior Defense if his wolf is killed. Wolves gain 50% turn meter when an ally dies.


Skills

  • Emeralds now passively heal the caster for percentage of their max health while maintaining it’s healing power and healing received bonuses.

  • Warrior Saint: Your attacks will heal the lowest health ally 24% of their lost health while your healing power is and healing received increases 5%. Max stacks: 10 (Similar to Drones Mending Bolt.)

  • Speed Demon gives extra turn when enemy dies. Cooldown removed.


Zones

  • Stoneshore Gateway: removed Souless and Demonkiss the Haunted as possible spawns.
  • Vengeance: Fight with Salty Skeltor now optional.
  • Western Kingdom renamed “Merc Quarters”. (Braxus encounter) is now optional.
  • Spug Gateway labeled (optional)
  • Colosseum opens after Spug Prince cutscene.
