Ambassador Spotlight: Hosshii_Japan

As part of an ongoing AlbionTV (twitch.tv/albiononline) interview series highlighting AOCP Ambassadors, Hosshii will be joining the broadcast this Friday, April 4 at 20:00 UTC! Known for her fiery ZvZ battles and her uplifting energy, she’s got a story worth hearing – and we’re here to give you a preview before she goes live.

Hosshii_Japan

Hosshii brings a one-of-a-kind presence to the Ambassador program. Since joining after our last major update, she’s quickly become a bright and recognizable force in Albion’s competitive scene. Her high-energy ZvZ streams are packed with fast-paced action and set to a banging J-core soundtrack that keeps the spirits high and the chaos fun.

She pulls viewers straight into the action with live caller comms, low delay, and a front-row seat to Albion's most explosive battles. But what really makes her stand out is the vibe – she’s always smiling and giggling (especially after ganking an unsuspecting gatherer in the Mists), which somehow manages to make even the most brutal clashes feel charming. Who knew that mercilessly killing your enemies could be so cute?

Outside of ZvZ, Hosshii is documenting her growth in small-scale PvP across the Mists and Roads. She’s open about not having ‘pro-level’ mechanics yet, but that’s part of the charm. Her content captures the steady, honest journey of improvement, with all the heroic (and hilarious) moments along the way. She’s just being real, and her viewers love her for it.

As an Ambassador, she’s working to shine a spotlight on ZvZ for Asian players, showing that anyone can jump in – and maybe even giggle their way through a frontline push. If you’re into high-stakes brawls, community vibes, and the occasional panicked burst of Japanese, Hosshii’s content is your new happy place (≧▽≦)!

Ambassador Spotlight: MomoMonii

AlbionTV (twitch.tv/albiononline) is currently running a series of interviews with the AOCP Ambassadors, and this Friday is MomoMonii’s turn in the spotlight. Tune in Friday 28 at 20:00 UTC for a chat that promises chaos, karaoke, and PvP insights in equal measure. Check out this profile to get to know her before the show kicks off.

MomoMonii

Meet Momomonii, one of the newest AOCP Ambassadors – and already a standout in Albion’s streaming scene. In just a short time, she’s built a name for herself as one of the most entertaining PvP creators out there. Why? Because she does what most players wouldn’t dare: singing mid-fight while throwing hands.

Specializing in Corrupted Dungeons and 2v2 Hellgates, Momomonii thrives in Albion’s instanced PvP, where soft caps level the playing field and put the spotlight on skill, game sense, and creative tactics. Healing is her tune, but she’s just as dangerous on DPS – especially when using wild off-meta builds that keep every fight unpredictable and explosive (for her opponents, mostly).

Her work as an Ambassador focuses on making Albion’s PvP more accessible, especially for newer players. She’s quick to hit pause on the karaoke to answer questions – in English, Polish, and Russian – offer practical advice, and share insights on everything from healing mechanics to build matchups and reading your opponent’s next move.

Who said being a healer was boring? Definitely not Momo. So if you want sharp PvP tips, a chill stream atmosphere, and the sheer joy of watching someone hit both enemies and high notes at the same time, you've just found your new favorite content creator.

Changelog: Rogue Frontier Patch 4

This patch improves the Conqueror's Challenge reward system with better tracking and reward claiming for past seasons. It also includes combat balance changes, bug fixes, and gameplay improvements.

Changes

Conqueror’s Challenge Changes

A new Conqueror’s Challenge History Tab has been added, allowing players to track their past seasons and claim rewards more easily.
  • Players can now view their stats and rewards from previous seasons by selecting them from a dropdown menu
Within this new tab, rewards can be claimed through an improved UI:
  • Conqueror’s Chest rewards now appear as a list of claimable items instead of a single chest
    • Players can claim items individually or use ‘Claim All’ to collect as much as their inventory space allows
  • Knight’s Vows and Avatars are sent directly to the inventory when claimed

Other Changes
  • Personal and Guild tabs within a Guild Bank are now visually distinguished

Combat Balance Changes

Frost Staffs

To increase the consistency of Arctic Volley, each icicle has been adjusted to slow all targets hit, making it easier to land multiple volleys.

  • Arctic Volley (Arctic Staff)
    • Slow per hit: 10% for 1s (stacks up to 6 times)

Holy Staffs

As Holy Staff has been a dominant option in the 2v2 meta, the energy cost of Desperate Prayer has been increased to make energy denial a possible counter.

  • Desperate Prayer (Holy Staff)
    • Energy cost: 12 → 15

Nature Staffs

Since Druidic Staff has fallen out of the meta following previous nerfs, the additional cooldown for recasting Spiritual Seed has now been removed to increase its healing output in group play.

  • Spiritual Seed (Druidic Staff)
    • Recast cooldown: 25s → 20s

Shapeshifter Staffs

Bloodmoon continues to be a problem for larger groups to deal with. To give enemies a better chance at bursting a Werewolf down, their max health while transformed has been reduced.

  • Werewolf Transformation (Bloodmoon Staff)
    • Transformation health: 1100 → 1000

Swords

Infinity Blade’s popularity has increased since Limit Breaker stopped consuming its damage buff. To reduce its brawling power somewhat, its long buff duration has been reduced.

  • Limitbreaker (Infinity Blade)
    • Damage buff duration: 7s → 5s

Helmets

Smokebomb has been adjusted to no longer silence party members, as this behavior was difficult to control and led to frustrating gameplay experiences.

  • Smokebomb (Hellion Hood)
    • No longer silences group members

Shoes

The stun duration for Crush Charge – a highly telegraphed ability – has been increased to make it more rewarding, especially since it takes the place of a traditional mobility option.

  • Crush Charge (Duskweaver Boots)
    • Stun: 2.35s → 2.5s

Capes

Capes that primarily scale their cooldowns with Item Power have not provided enough value to warrant their increasing cost per tier. With significantly shorter cooldowns at higher tiers, these capes can now become a more reliable build component.

  • Berserk (Keeper Cape)
    • Base cooldown: 112.5 → 150
    • Cooldown reduction: 2.5s → 7.5s (95s → 98s at 700 IP, 73s → 30s at 1600 IP)
    • Buff duration: 6s → 5s
  • Devious Trap (Heretic Cape)
    • Base cooldown: 112.5 → 150
    • Cooldown reduction: 2.5s → 7s (95s → 101s at 700 IP, 73s → 38s at 1600 IP)
  • Mark of the Raven (Morgana Cape)
    • Cooldown reduction: 3.1s → 6s (98s → 78s at 700 IP, 70s → 24s at 1600 IP)
    • Buff duration: 8s → 5s

Miscellaneous
  • Hellgates
    • Rising Lava stacks now persist after being knocked down while inside the lava
    • Rising Lava stacks now break shields and cause immunity against shield effects

Fixes

Spell Fixes
  • Enfeeble Blades (Lifecurse Staff)
    • Fixed issue where enemies would continue having their buffs purged shortly after leaving the target area
    • Fixed issue where enemies could become invisible within the target area
  • Fixed issue where Holy Beam (Holy Staffs), Hover (Sandals of Purity), and Levitate (Cultist Robes) could have their channeled effects purged

UI Fixes
  • Fixed issue where removing an item from either the Main Hand or Off-Hand slot in the Loadouts menu would clear both slots
  • Fixed issue where Tracking Toolkits could be placed in the weapon slot when creating a Loadout
  • Fixed issue where the Overcharge confirmation pop-up could appear twice when using a hotkey
  • Fixed issue where Crystal Weapon combat and crafting specializations on the Destiny Board displayed incorrect bonus values
  • Fixed issue where the item icon in the furniture UI was selectable but not clickable with a controller
    • The icon is now clickable across all inputs to open the furniture item's details UI

Other Fixes
  • Fixed issue where the following mobs would deal significantly higher damage than intended:
    • Earthkeeper Shaman
    • Avalonian High Priestess
    • Sir Bedivere
    • Castle Mortar
    • Champion of Fort Sterling
    • Bandit Ringleader
  • Fixed issue where items that cannot drop as loot could be listed for sale on the Black Market
  • Various additional graphical, animation, terrain, audio, UI, and localization fixes

Season 27 Is on the Way!

Season Rewards

Players can once again participate in the Conqueror’s Challenge to claim exclusive Avatar Sets, Fame buffs, and the coveted Artifacts needed to forge the next batch of powerful Crystal Weapons – set to be unveiled after the season’s conclusion. Earn Season Points through various activities and by amassing Might alongside your fellow guild members to get these rewards!

New Conqueror’s Challenge History Tab

7 Dumb Ways to Lose Your Account

You’ve spent countless hours surviving ganks, hoarding loot, and maybe even winning a fight or two. But what if you wanted to throw it all away?

Lucky for you, there are plenty of dumb ways to do just that! Some are instant, some take effort, but they all end the same way – with you staring at the login screen, wondering what went wrong. We know you’d never fall for these… but let’s take a look at what not to do, just for fun.

1. Download Mystery Software (Enjoy the Free Malware!)

You just wanted a harmless little mod, maybe some fun sound effects, or a purely academic armor removal mod for "historical accuracy". But oops! That “totally safe” download came with surprise perks like a free keylogger that sends your login info straight to a scammer, and a bonus backdoor for hackers to snoop around your PC. Want to stay safe? Stick to trusted sources.

2. Take the Phishing Bait Like a Champ

"300m Silver giveaway in 15 mins! Just log in here with your Albion account!" – sounds great, right? Except that you’ve just given your credentials to xxDarkScammer420xx, who’s now flipping your hard-earned loot for pennies. Pro tip: Use unique passwords, and only use your Albion account to log into the game client or albiononline.com. Not that hard.

3. Trust That “Totally Legit” Currency Seller

You found a site offering Silver or items at suspiciously good prices? That’s because it’s a suspiciously fantastic way to spend real money on getting your account banned. And guess what? That deal comes from stolen accounts and credit cards, so when you buy, you're not just fueling the phishing market – you’re swimming in digital dirty money. That’s like 9000+ points of bad karma. Here’s an idea for getting currency: play the game, trade with other players, or, you know, use the official shop – the one that doesn’t come with a lifetime ban.

4. Let a Bot Do the Work for You

A little automation can’t hurt, right? So you find an easy way to "help" yourself – be it a bot or a simple macro you program by hand. Except Albion isn’t one of those idle games where you level up without ever learning how to play. Here, actions matter, and we’ll notice if your character’s been chopping trees in the same spot for two weeks like an overachieving ghost. And when that happens, we’ll assume your account has left the need for a player behind. So unless you want your progress to vanish faster than a rat stealing a kill, maybe – just maybe – click your own buttons?

5. Find Creative Ways to Cheat

We get it, you want all the glory and none of the hassle of actually having to be good at it. Maybe you tweak a few files, maybe you install that fancy radar tool. What could possibly go wrong? Oh, just the minor inconvenience of your "advantage" lasting a glorious five seconds before the ban hammer swings and your account gets yeeted into the void harder than a bunny in the middle of a ZvZ. If you really want to win, refine your strategy, practice more, or – here’s a wild idea – git gud.

6. Use Your Alt Account for Sneaky Scouting

Wow, look at you! No need to download shady software – you’ve devised your own "brilliant" strategy. Running two accounts at once? Surely that’s just efficient gaming, right? Except now, instead of having an advantage, you get to stare at not one, but two "BANNED!" messages on your login screen. So before you go recruiting yourself as your own personal spy, just stick to teammates, legit scouting tactics, and keeping at least one account you can log into.

7. Exploit Bugs Like There’s No Tomorrow

You’re minding your own business when – bam! – you stumble upon a glitch that spits out infinite loot. Jackpot! Or so you tell yourself, rubbing your hands together like a cartoon villain. Except… we have logs. We always have logs. So now the real decision: do you report it like the unsung hero of bug reporting that you are, basking in the glory of keeping the game fair for everyone, or do you go down in history as the person who got banned for trying to hoard virtual carrots?

In conclusion, maybe just don’t? Be smart, stay safe, and play fair!

Changelog: Rogue Frontier Patch 3

This patch brings important refinements and bug fixes but primarily focuses on combat balance changes.

Changes

Destiny Board Changes
  • The Reaver line bonus has been reworked to prevent unintended interactions with spells and other effects
    • Bonus defense/damage vs mobs should now work as intended for higher-tier enemies
    • Armor and magic resistance reduction effects are now more effective against higher-tier enemies
    • Aside from these interactions, there should be no noticeable difference when fighting mobs

Corrupted and Solo Randomized Dungeon Changes

With the introduction of the Gold Market Stabilization system, Common Chests that typically dropped a single Bag of Silver could sometimes be empty. To prevent this without altering the stabilization system, we have moved Silver from Common Chests to higher-value chests, and replaced them with Tomes of Insight to ensure a guaranteed reward.

  • Common Chests now drop Beginner’s Tomes of Insight instead of Bags of Silver
  • Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary Chests now contain more Bags of Silver

UI Changes
  • To standardize Cast Time and Cooldown Rate modification values, they now always display a positive value to indicate longer durations and a negative value to indicate reductions
    • The item stat 'Cast Time Reduction' has been renamed to 'Cast Time' to align with this system
  • Reduced chat frequency for /HCE, /LFG, /TR, and /REC by increasing message cooldown from 30 seconds to 2 minutes

Combat Balance Changes

Arcane Staffs

Evensong has offered powerful offensive utility but is almost always used with plate armor. Its base damage has been increased to help players who want to lean more into being a DPS threat.

  • Dark Sphere (Evensong)
    • Damage: 100 → 112

Axes

Axe players in ZvZs have been overperforming, frequently hitting more than 10 enemies. To address this, the damage and complexity of Raging Blades have been reduced.

  • Raging Blades (all Axes)
    • Removed: Targets within 2 meters take no damage
    • Damage per tick: 26 → 22

Hammers

Giant Steps has been far from its previously overwhelming state. A portion of its slowing aura has been restored to reinforce Forge Hammers as a tanky disruptor.

  • Giant Steps (Forge Hammers)
    • Slow: 20% → 35%

Holy Staffs

Great Holy Staff has been underperforming, so part of its resistance increase has been restored.

  • Holy Explosion (Great Holy Staff)
    • Resistance increase: 0.12 → 0.16

To give Lifetouch Staff a unique role, Holy Touch’s target is now immune to Crowd Control for the channel's duration (unless self-targeting). In addition, its range has been increased to improve its reliability in modern Albion.

  • Holy Touch (Lifetouch Staff)
    • Added: Target is immune to all crowd-control (unless self-targeting)
    • Range: 6m → 9m

Spears

Fling has struggled to find success. To improve its effectiveness, its stand time and cooldown have been reduced, making it easier to confirm an Impaler hit.

  • Fling (Glaive)
    • Standtime: 0.85s → 0.6s
    • Cooldown: 20s → 18s

Swords

Swords already have strong chase potential due to their passive movement speed bonuses. To balance this, Heroic Strike’s above-average range has been reduced.

  • Heroic Strike (all Swords)
    • Range: 4m → 3.5m

War Gloves

Fleet Footwork has provided War Gloves users with a solid mobility option while also serving as an exceptional DPS tool. Its damage output has been reduced to bring it more in line with alternatives.

  • Fleet Footwork (all War Gloves)
    • Auto-attack damage buff: 150% → 125%

Armors

Ambush has remained a top-tier damage boost while also offering great defensive capabilities. Its maximum damage bonus has been reduced to allow other aggressive chest armors to be more competitive.

  • Ambush (Assassin Jacket)
    • Damage buff per stack: 4% → 5%
    • Max buff stacks: 10 → 6 (max damage bonus 40% → 30%)
    • Stack rate: 0.5s → 1s (time to max stacks: unchanged)

Shoes

A few underused shoe abilities with restrictive conditions and mobility trade-offs have been improved.

Giant’s cooldown and uptime have been adjusted to make Guardian Boots a more available defensive option.

  • Giant (Guardian Boots)
    • Cooldown: 60s → 40s
    • Duration: 8s → 6s

Mark of Sacrifice, Shield Charge, and Swift Cut have been standardized to a 15m range with below-average cooldowns, as their target requirements have been too limiting.

  • Mark of Sacrifice (Hellion Shoes)
    • Range: 12m → 15m
  • Shield Charge (Knight Boots)
    • Cooldown: 20s → 18s
  • Swift Cut (Assassin Shoes)
    • Range: 11m → 15m

Fixes

Spell Fixes
  • Holy Beam (Holy Staffs) no longer adds a spell effect icon to the target’s buff bar
  • Hamstring (Swords): Fixed issue where the tooltip displayed an incorrect cooldown
  • Ambush (Assassin Jacket): The damage buff can now be purged and no longer persists if the caster does not deal damage within the first 7 seconds

UI Fixes
  • Fixed issue where icons on the Region Map could duplicate over time
  • Fixed issue where some tooltips would remain visible and follow the cursor
  • Fixed issue where Medium Treasure Chests were not visible on the map for players in a neighboring region

Other Fixes
  • Fixed issue where Elite Cursed Harvester did not count towards the Albion Journal mission ‘Defeat any Reaper or Harvester’
  • Various additional graphical, animation, terrain, audio, UI, and localization fixes
