This update addresses networking issues when hosting 8 slot lobby. Adds tutorial TRAINING and GUI to turn off the death camera rotation. Orion's Threat achievements.
Networking
Double the bandwidth from listen server to clients for an 8 slot game. When hosting an 8 slot game sv_maxrate will automatically be set to 60000. rd_adjust_sv_maxrate cvar may be used to turn this feature off. sv_maxrate is not modified on dedicated servers.
Added UI for changing client's network bandwidth limit. Options - Game Settings. 512 kbps is recommended for playing on 8 player servers. This is the bandwidth that online game servers send to you during gameplay. Lower bandwidth rate setting can help avoid packet loss if your internet service provider or routers drop network packets. Insufficient bandwidth rate however can result in delayed network packets, resulting in ping increase and game entities warping in your view.
Note: It is highly recommended that dedicated servers which host 8 slots put sv_maxrate to at least 60000.
Training Tutorial
Added main menu TRAINING item. Clicking this will load a tutorial map. Use this to learn the basics of the game.
Stats and Achievements
Added Orion's Threat and Bonus Missions stats.
Added achievements for Orion's Threat campaign
Death Camera
Added Death Camera UI into Game Settings window. Players can turn the cinematic camera rotation off. Leaving only the slowdown

Leaderboards and Stats Website
Thanks to Ben's hard work we now have a nice website for displaying player's stats and leaderboards. At this moment we only have a speed run leaderboard shown on the image above. It puts players who complete a map faster than others in the top of the list. Note that at this moment it's not cheat protected so don't take it too seriously.
The leaderboard list page contains official campaigns and challenges plus top 25 workshop campaigns by playtime this week. There is also a separate leaderboard for each mission and each challenge.
The front page displays global stats for all the time or any of the last 60 days.
At the achievements page you can see all your locked and unlocked achievements and the requirements to achieve them. It also shows your best time for speed run achievements.
Player profile page shows lifetime statistics like the most played official missions, various stats in the upper left.
Player profile also shows mission/difficulty success rate, most chosen weapons/marines.
Weapon stats can be viewed as global stats or per-player stats. Global stats can be viewed for all time or any of the last 60 days. Weapon stats include things like damage blocked with electric armor and burning marines saved by freeze grenades. Deathmatch stats are in parentheses.
Feel free to check this website out and let us know what do you think about it in the comments section or in the discussions section.
The IAF HAS42 Devastator
Thanks to Lord Jaraxxus we now have a nice HAS42 Devastator weapon model. Devastator is a fully automatic close range heavy assault shotgun. IAF standard ammunition loadout provides for 12-gauge rounds. Special Weapons training is required. Its devastating power makes it ideal for taking out large groups of hostile targets in close range.
We're currently finishing our minimum set of release features and will soon announce the release date. We want to get your feedback on features we've added to adjust our course if necessary.
You may have noticed our workshop page have become live. We made it public to thoroughly test our workshop implementation and ensure smooth user experience. There are a few items already there, you're welcome to check them out.
Thanks to Haikü we now have a nice 22A4-2 Combat Rifle model. Combat Rifle is similar to 22A3-1 Assault Rifle but instead of the underslung grenade launcher it is equipped by an underslung shotgun attachment for situations when enemy is way too close to you to use the grenade launcher. When multiple foes are close to you use the high powered shotgun blast to take them down. High damage and wide spread does the trick.
We're doing great progress on our planned features. Steam Workshop support is underway!
We welcome content contributions! If you'd like to make a model, a map or anything game related feel free to write us in comments. Lets make the game better together! ːsteamhappyː
Tarnor and Lana's Escape Campaigns
Hello everyone!
We want to let everyone know that Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop will include significantly improved versions of Tears for Tarnor and Lana's Escape campaigns as official campaigns.
These are the two of the best user created campaigns for Alien Swarm. The original authors worked really hard to improve and balance maps since the last public release. We are working on adding single-player support for these campaigns.
Below are some screenshots which can also be seen on our store page:
