Content Update!

Hello everyone!

This is the last major update for Alisa!
What's new:
- 7 new cosmetic costumes for the Make-up menu. (for all seasonal events)
- Stats screen at the end of a playthrough. (only applies to save files starting from the prologue. NG+ is okay)
- Music volume setting.
- Iron Armor now has no damage interruptions. (absolute tank armor!)
- Added Iron Armor sound effects.
- Holding sprint in the clock pointer puzzle speeds up turning.
- Finally added a spook that I didn't have to time for before.
- Added ambient sound effects.

Polish and bug fixes:
- Hit/pain animation now react instantly and without delays.
- Picking up items gives a brief pause for time to read.
- Fixed bugs around achievements: reading all notes and killing 50 dolls.
- Fixed some Barbara music that kept playing after moving through some doors.
- Fixed Ballerinas clipping through camera.
- Fixed enemy flashing when dying.
- Fixed missing sounds in some menus.

In the near future I'm planning to add custom language support.
But I had to skip this feature for this update to get it uploaded on time for Valentine! : )

Small Patch Nov 13

Hello everyone,

Here is a small patch.
Notes:
- Several fixes for Elise during boss battles
(fixed errors and better enemy focus during Flora fight)
- Fixed a possible crash with Xbox controller in button settings in ingame Pause menu.

Small Patch Nov 8

Hello everyone,

Here is a new small patch.
The changes:
- Patched some possible interactions during knockdowns and Ramming attacks
- Ramming attack polished and less easy to break things (hopefully)
- Auto-aim targeting Elise during the Waves Challenge is fixed
- Elise reacting to all weapon types now
- Fixed some wall clippings for certain areas
- Elise kept sliding during pause menu, should be fixed now
- Fixed dress icons in closet menu
- Did some changes and fixes in menu text when playing in a non-English language


Console ports are in the works. In case you are wondering about it. (to reduce this daily question)

Halloween Update!

Hello everyone!

It's Halloween! And Alisa received 2 new Make-up Costumes! Permanently!
(accessible with the Illusive Make-up Modification and interacting with a Mirror)
Designs by Pitch Canker and Chad Porter!

And some bugfixes:
- Fly enemy now correctly dropping ammo in end boss fight.
- Attempt to make Auto-aim more reliable. (feels a little bit more stiff now)
- Attempt to fix the famous stairs bug in end boss fight.
- Fixed infinite knock down by end boss. (now only 2 knockdowns and then you have ~4 seconds invulnerability time)
- In-game menu's now extremely optimized and will have way better framerate.

Small addition:
- Apart from the 2 new Make-up dresses, there are now Make-up titles.

Small Patch Oct 4th

Hello everyone,


Did some bug fixes.
Here is the list:
- Brought back the original camera changes for climbing the ladder.
- Candle stands in the candle room are not transparent anymore.
- The hammer knockback got nerfed.
- Some fixes for Garden Boss.
- Removed secret debugging key in one of the puzzles.
- Big kitchen doll should now be back to normal and always spawn TWs on death.
- Fixed rapid scrolling through map menu.
- Orb item in shop now showing correct selection background.
- Improved water effect in water maze
- Elise now possible to hit with fists.
- Another attempt to get the Gunner Horse enemies less stuck on high framerates.
- Hammer charge attack stance not playing pain animations on hit, is fixed now.
- Fixed reload bug during Water Boss ending cutscene with Elise.
- Removed lines in inventory screen in operation room.
- Enemy in Red Safe Room has no stun-lock anymore.
- Fixed cutscene, meeting pol for the first time in Red Safe Room.

Hot fix 5

Hello everyone,


Here is hopefully the last hotfix!

What's new:
- Cherub stunning endboss while grabbed could lock you, should be fixed now
- Big guy in kitchen's head hitbox tent to disappear is fixed now
- Loading the game while wearing make-up dress being bugged is fixed now
- White dress defence calculation not always working, should be fixed now

- added new option: Render: 1x or 2x
Which means you can render objects and characters at 480p instead of standard 240p.
I'm not a fan of it honestly, but it's the maximum acceptable 3D object resolution increasement.
Looks a bit like if the game was ported to Dreamcast or something but it still creates an illusion break between the backgrounds and the objects.
Pre-rendered videos will look very nice though!
- Also added a damage bonus on melee weapons when having the Gear Implants.


This should be the last update until October.
But you never know if something important breaks again... then I can't be stopped.

Hello everyone,


Here is the latest hot fix!
- WASD movement should now work with the inventory keyring
- Leg item now correctly disappearing from inventory when used
- Chase sequence boss and using orb now works correctly
- Black bars in inventory in candle room now fixed
- Orb now working correctly in end boss fight
- Floating Eye now correctly working
- Sword and Shield rebalanced and fixed shield break animations
- First boss reward now showing correct "sold out marker"
- Elise "Note and book" interaction, text staying on screen fixed
- Elise can now be hit correctly with all weapons
- Defence now correctly applying on white dress when load game
- Alisa holding Hammer wounded animations fixed
- Make-up now showing correctly in Chase Boss Battle
- Many Javelin (weapon) fixes
- Lower Corridor music plays correctly when traversing to other rooms
- Alisa's hand clipping through camera in pre-endboss-cutscene when holding HMG (Weapon) fixed
- Dodging while dead, should be fixed now
- Getting hit when dodging could make you fall on the ground, fixed
- Trap (weapon) audio fixed
- Run while setting trap fixed
- Weapon control during some cutscenes fixed
- increased Fireball damage
- Auto-aim during waves game and endboss should now work correctly
- Cherub item now correctly working during endboss fight
- New Game Plus capped to level 9 (savegames that are currently at a higher level will keep it's level until the end and transform into level 9 afterwards)
- Re-pickup of cone hat while puzzle is finished, fixed
- Another attempt to fix the Male Garden Sentinels and Horses is done, hopefully it's fixed now

Some bugs that were reported weren't found during testing and hopefully other bugs that got fixed, fixed these all together.

Make sure you are playing with Steam turned on, if you play without steam turned on, the game will crash when you receive an achievement.

Hot fix 3

Hello everyone,

Took a day off yesterday but continued to fix bugs today.
So here is the new hot fix!

What's new:
- Items on Upper floor infinitely spawning back should be fixed now
- The "horses" and "male garden sentinels" should now move correctly on high fps
- "fly" enemy should now stand still while the game is on pause
- "sold out" marker on purple dress and white dress now correct
- Possible to open inventory during Charlottes introduction should be fixed now
- Using weapons during Pier puppet introduction should be fixed now
- Using weapons during bathing should be fixed now
- Sword and Shield blocking is now correct
- Slightly increased melee weapon damaged
- Switching weapons during dodge and softlock fixed
- You can now correctly use the orb during the chase boss battle
- Couldn't open menu or interact after heavy impact block now fixed
- Shotgun shells (Bob) now showing in Stats Tab
- Shield and left hand pistol now correctly hiding during cutscenes
- "Greed" achievement should now be working correctly

Things I'm aware of:
- Charlotte (closet) menu glitching? (not sure)
- Iron thorns coming along with other saves? (not sure)
- Controls menu horizontal flickering still happening for some people?
- WASD not working on keyring?

Hot fix 2

Here is the second hotfix.


What's fixed:
- Items in new water room causing softlock should be fixed now
- Controls option horizontal movement rapid flickering fixed
- Can't access all dresses in closet or shop is fixed
- Some enemies sliding around during pause screen or when menu is open is fixed
- Black doll enemy now grabbing correctly when trying to attack with sword
- First boss leaving his machine bug is now fixed
- Auto-aim "on/off" text not clipping through text in status menu anymore (for French, Italian, Japanese)
- Boss rewards menu now working as intended
- Blocking heavy attacks causing softlock on movement now fixed
- New weapons and dresses info in inventory not clipping with other text anymore
- Cherub will no longer follow you through another playthrough or savefile
- See through benches on top floor now fixed
- Black bar in menu in water corridor fixed
- Black doll during library cutscene fixed
- Black doll song remained after entering the staircases from hallway fixed
- Crossbow bolts now correctly sticking in enemies
- Glass orb now obtainable from Boss Rewards (if already claimed in save, it's gone from your playthrough)
- Cherub not attacking end boss should now work correctly (not tested)
- Rope in 2nd room at main hallway replaced with Medkit (as it was intended)
- Javelin weapon poke attack not dealing damage fixed
- Changed achievement from "get 100 kills" to "get 50 kills".


What's still there to fix but need more investigation to be able to fix:
- Male Garden Sentinel enemies, and Gunners stuck in a "shuffeling dance" animation. (could be caused by V-sync. try switching it when you come across this bug)
- Garden boss losing her AI during swordfight?
- Dodge gets you stuck on walls or corners? Dodge can flip you over?
- Auto-aim not always responding? (note that auto-aim only aligns you horizontally, not vertically)
