0.750 Bug Fixes & Awakening Enhancements

Hello everyone,

You may be wondering where have we been all this time. We are a small team of a few members that work on this game. Over the past few years the project leads Mother had been very unwell, suffering a rapid decline in health. She has now passed on and will be missed greatly by the surviving members of her family. Of course in these situations family comes first, we hope everyone can understand that during an alpha stage in development.

With the Bad News out of the way we can give you the update news.

ANGLES v.0750 UPDATE:
Bugs Fixed:

  • Teleport East has now been fixed.
  • Longitudinal navigation clamped.


New Features:
Awakening Mode Changes:

  • Easy Mode = Infinite Stamina
  • Normal = Infinite Health or Armor
  • Hard = Infinite Armor only if Armor intact

Awakening mode is charged through kills and activated with "4"

Infinite World update:

  • If you travel to world edges, you may travel in a direction.
  • Going north will take you to mountains, then the dungeons.
  • Going south will explore the forests, east/west is infinite biomes.


The Good News is we now have the foundation of the Game in a solid working state.
Until we more bugs of course!

We have begun working on the final Graphical Overhaul for 1.0 release.
There will be some news on this in Future.

v0.64a Gamepad Support Added

New Feature:
We have added Controller Support for Gamepads. This can be selected in the pause menu or by starting a new game. Hybrid mode can be used by both Keyboard/Mouse and Gamepads. When Starting a new Game, Controller options have now replaced the Time Scale system. All Games now use the "365 days to a Year" Timescale. The Hybrid Control Scheme is a new system we are currently working on.

Hybrid mode Draws an invisible Line from the Player to the Aiming Indicator on the Screen. If an enemy is on that line and inside the weapon range, you will hit it.
Multi-Hit is unaffected. Ranged Weapons now Spawn a Projectile when in Hybrid mode.


Changes:
- Choose Hybrid from Pause screen or start a new game.
- All Menus now Support Gamepads, use L Stick up/down.
- New Aiming System uses Line Trace from Player to Cursor Position.
-- Any enemy in range on that Line will be Hit


Fixes:
* Tree removed from middle of road

v0.63b Captain Spawning System

New Feature:
This one is coming in early, Captains are now handled properly by it's own Spawning system. This tracks distance from the Enemy to the Player among other things. The Captain Spawns should be equally rare, however they cannot travel as far as before, without you being nearby.

The Gobling Captains refused to Die with their King! This Change has solved this for good.




Changes:
- Captains removed from all Maps
- Dedicated Spawning System now handling Captains
- Captains can roam twice as far from the player as Swarm type Enemies


Fixes:
* Gobling Captains now Die with their King, As intended.
* Tree removed from middle of road


DEMO PLAYERS: You will also be updated to this version.
Early Access Builds will begin to diverge as we go on, so this will always be stated in patch notes, should there be a Demo update rolled out.

v0.63a New Tutorial

New Feature:
The Tutorial has been completely overhauled. In place of Forced Menus, you must now find and speak to the Wise Old Man. He will do his best to explain how to play ANGLES!

Changes:
- All Forced Tutorial Menus Removed
- All new Audio Samples for Conversations
- Wise Old Man has learned Smokey Teleport
- Tutorial now using the new Conversation system

Fixes:
* Fishing Deck no longer forcing Unarmed in tutorial map

Hotfix corrects a few reported bugs. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

v0.62b Fishy Limits

New Feature:
Pro Fisherman have been earning their Fortunes without fighting the Hordes, so we are introducing Daily Limits. You may fish to your hearts content, however, the Fishermonger will only buy 30 fish per day. (Excess Caught Fish will Rot away each Day)



Changes:
- Daily Fishing Cap introduced. 30 Fish per Day.
- Rotting Fish, Daily Caught Fish reduction.

Fixes:
* Regen Values Truncated for Display
* Boss now updates Chapter on level Exit (boss Fights)
* Bounty Rank and Scalp counters now reset properly
* Awakening now Stops when Traveling between Maps
* Tree Stump Removed from Middle of Road.

v0.62a Insect Captains

New Feature:
The Animations for the Insect Captains are now in game.
Once the First Boss is defeated, these will be infesting the world.
They have more HP and deal more Damage than the Gobling Captains.

- Added Animations for Insect Captain
- Chapter Updates on defeating Boss & Leaving Fight Map.

V061c Fishy Update

New Feature:
Following Feedback from players we have begun fleshing out the Fishing Job. Jobs are ways to earn Gold or XP in the Village.
When you stand on the Platform by the Lake, Fish begin to appear. If you use the Pike, you may catch these fish. These Fish can be sold to the Fishmonger for Gold.

We have also added mouse-wheel weapon selection and the player Skill Level system in this update.



Changes:
- Caught Fish Counter now Displays while Fishing
- Fish Spawn interval reduced & Surface times increased
- Wise Old Man now Talks louder
- Reaching Village Map edges now Travels North, South, East & West
- Player Torchlight Colour Adjusted, now correct on snow at night
- Bonus Loot Sound effects no longer misleading
- Skill Point Upgrade now applies Full HP as expected.
- Shops Now display Regen Amounts adjusted by Skill Levels.
- Sleeping Stamina Regen is now affected by Stamina Skill Level.
- Skill Level is calculated from your Total Skill Points.
- Skill Level now Displayed in Church Menu, below your Name.
- Skill Level gives 50 % Bonus to Sleeping Stamina Regen;
--- at Lvl 10 on Easy Difficulty
--- at Lvl 20 on Normal Difficulty
--- at Lvl 30 on Hard Difficulty
- Mouse Wheel Control Method added for Fast Weapon Selection.

v0.61 World Building

New Feature:
With this update we are adding travel between maps.
Similarly to DND you can choose to Go North, South, East or West.
By reaching the Edge of a map & pushing E you will travel.
As New Biomes are introduced this will become more complex.
There is currently no coastline, so East/West Travel is infinite.
The Bounty Board is still used to leave the Village!
Travel between Biomes as you head North or South.



Changes:
- Long & Lat system introduced
- Map Edges now Transport you around the World
- Time No Longer Cycles on Leaving the Village.
- Time Cycles when Travelling, returning to the Village & Sleeping.
- 50 HP now Restored on Revival after being Defeated.
- Arrow Count Now Displays correctly in Fletcher menu.
- Stat point changes now gives 100% health as intended.
- Fish Hitbox is now Doubled, use the Pike to catch fish!
- Player Class Ability now labelled "Double Damage"
- Sound Effects now muted during loading screen.


Fixes:
* Moved House and loot inside bounds on tutorial map.
* Fishmonger now displays "eat in" for Grilled Fish.
* Church Voice Samples, modulation fixed.

v0.60 Release! New Magic Ability

New Feature:
Once a Boss is defeated, you may choose to unlock a new Armour Class.
These Classes unlock as you progress through the game at the Armory.
All Classes will have a unique Ability, activated with the Spacebar.
The Mana Dash, temporarily slows down time while increasing Max Speed, was the first Casting. Now we have the Second ready!

Changes:
- First Unlockable Class's Ability is now ready for Early Access Players to use.
- When Activated, Attacks are imbued with Rune Energy and hit for Double Damage.
- Time is Slowed for twice the Duration of the Dash Ability.

Fixes:
* Scalp Count now being reset on New Game inside same Session.
* Church no longer displays option to Heal
(The Fishmonger or Salted Fish Items should be used to Heal HP)
