Animallica Alpha v4.2 is here!


Patch Notes:


  • Because a part of the comunity requested a more guided experience, a task system was implemented with about 50 simple missions with a new curency as reward. The new curency can be used to aquire new powerful weapons and new rare animals. The new system could still require some tweeking but with your help hopefully it will work flawlessly soon. The new task system is intended for new players, to guide them through the story and all the areas. The other players can still experience it but some of the quests will be already completed.
    This being said, Animallica remains a full sandbox game, meaning you can still tackle it in ay way you want, set your own pace and objectives.
  • Thirty new loading screens were added, explaining the background of most of the enemies and named NPCs in the game.
  • New weapons were added: Anti-Material Rifle and Tranquilizer Rifle.
  • The halloween pumpkins were removed and a Christmas tree was added in Arpashi.
  • The old Red Deer was retextured and is now a White-tailed deer.
  • A new Red Deer was added.
  • Red deer calf was added.
  • Nine new colors for Arabian Horse were added.
  • Two new colors for Grey Wolf were added.
  • Two new colors for Roe Deer were added.
  • Three new legendary animals were added: Alaskan Tundra Wolf, Steppe Wolf and Black rabicano Arabian Horse.
  • Some maps were updated with new points of interest.
  • Some items were renamed.
  • Some prices and recipes were adjusted.
  • Sleep interface was updated.
  • Several improvements for ranged enemies were made.
  • Fixed a problem with creature's dead animation;
  • Weapons like bows and crossbow now remeber the last type of arrow used.
  • You can now mine only by holding the mouse button.
  • Fixed a problem with Sarcophagus animations.

BUGFIXES:
  • Death with the inventory opened caused the player controller to be locked on respawn.
  • Fixed the Pick Up item command that allowed the players to pick the fired arrows right away with Alt+G.
  • When using Shift+Click on Gold Coin item from a Container, the gold coin amount wasn't visually updated properly.
  • Item quantity wasn't properly updated when transfering stackable items from the inventory to the quick bar.
  • The description of some items didn't fit the shop panel description area.
  • Corpses were not properly aligned with terrain.
  • Gardening Beds sometimes received an empty seed information, causing the bed to completely vanish.
  • Crafting with elements from char panel caused the tactical gloves to vanish.

Patch Notes: Animallica Alpha 4.0

Hello Everybody!


Animallica Alpha v 4.0 is here!


For start we have to specify that this is the first half of a two parts update. The second half will arrive in about a week and will include several new maps, a lot of new animals, ranged enemies and more lore. To experience the entire new feel of the game, a fresh game is highly recommended after these two patches, even though the old save files should still work properly.
We apologize for the long wait, but is was time to make several drastic changes to the game.

<*>The combat system was completely remade; All weapons received new and better animations;
<*>The inventory system was completely remade for better functionality and look;
<*>A new safe map was added: Aleria;
<*>Three new legendary animals were added;
<*>Several cool new weapons were added: dual katanas, saw launcher, revolver, dual pistols, new shotgun;
<*>An energy bar was added for melee weapons (used for power attack and fast combos);
<*>A status bar was added on screen, permanently showing the amount of contamination left on the current map. Clearing all the enemy nests and contamination barrels from a map will clense the area from all signs of infection.

<*>Added get hit animations for most of the creatures;
