Farming Update. Patch Notes: Animallica Alpha 2.5

Animallica Alpha v 2.5 is live:



Patch Notes:


<*>Players have now the ability to grow crops and build settlements.
After the seeds are planted in a gardening bed it will take 24 hours (real time) to grow to a stage where they can be harvested. Gardening beds can be crafted using a gardening shed.
A total number of 23 settlements can be build using a basic workshop. After a settlement has been placed it will take 24 hours (real time) to provide resources. Only after all the resources have been collected, the settlement will start producing again.

<*>A new animal was added: Oberhasli Goat - 2 coat colors;
<*>A new animal was added: Shetland Pony - 3 coat colors;
<*>A new animal was added: Swan Goose;
<*>A new animal was added: Eurasian Brown Bear;
<*>Most of the maps were slightly updated;
<*>Two new coat colors were added for the Mustang;
<*>Flaxen chestnut mustang is no longer sold by the animal trader and can be found in the wild now. The trader is now selling a rare pony instead;

<*> EXPERIMENTAL: Potential fix for the people who cannot save the game. Added "ALT SAVE PATH" toggle in the Main Menu -> Options -> Game. When "Yes" is selected the game will save the files in "My Documents \ My Games \ Animallica \ SaveData" instead of the classic location. By default this setting comes disabled. Activate this only if you cannot save the game at all, and/or the game crashes all the time when you travel between scenes.

Settlement Showcase - Pfoster7 aka Ogre

Since is probably the most impressive and beautiful settlement ever build in First-person game, we thought it would be a good idea to show it here too.

Please try to ignore de low FPS, the amount of animals and vegetation he placed is really huge. There are over 30.000 items hand placed by the player in an enviroment already pretty heavy on performance.

Big thanks to pfoster7 aka Ogre for taking the time to build it and catching the exact spirit of the game and WilD JeSTeR for showcasing it!

In the near future we are planning to hold monthly design contests with nice prizes. Players could send us their creations (we can choose a theme each month), then make a small showcase like this with all the entries and viewers
will vote for the winner.

We are very excited to announce that the Animallica Official Soundtrack is live!

The Animallica Official Soundtrack was created in order to support the talented composer that created it, Matthew Harper.

All the tracks combined offer 101+ minutes of audition, in mp3 format, 320 kbps, 253 MB total size.

We will constantly update the soundtrack, with every new biome that we add in the game.
