Hey everyone! Good news: I'm releasing my next game this week on itch.io! It's called Introverts Can't Read Minds.
Lizzy heads out to a college party, but quickly realizes her best friend is missing. Talk to everyone at the party to find clues and solve logic puzzles to figure out who's at fault. Unfortunately, Lizzy's an introvert, making all of this really hard. Navigate carefully through conversations to make friends and learn more about the people around you!
This game was inspired by a simple idea: "What if Life is Strange... but 2D?" Make your way through ten different conversations to solve a mystery in this RPGMaker game with a 20-30 minute playtime. I hope everyone enjoys this new game coming out this Friday!

Patch 1.4.4
Hey everyone! Here is patch 1.4.4 of Annie and the Art Gallery.
Tale of Two Sardines is fully playable, and I'm currently doing pass after pass of bug fixing and polishing. Be sure to wishlist it on Steam to get access to all the dev logs and behind-the-scenes images!
Without further ado, here are the patch notes for 1.4.4!
Changed the light puzzle art to not be a straight-up copy of another game.
Changed some dialogue to better fit with the new AATAG and TOTS shared world. This involves some small retcons, unfortunately.
Updated another piece of art. Annie got a huge glow-up.
The Toy Plane no longer follows you after you put it on the podium.
Cleaned up some dialogue.
Removed Herobrine.

Patch 1.4.3
Hey everyone! Here is patch 1.4.3 to Annie and the Art Gallery.
Tale of Two Sardines has gone through a lot of revisions lately. Starting this week, I'm going to be making progress reports (like I'm doing right now in my discord server!) and posting them on that Steam page, so make sure you follow and wishlist!
Here are the patch notes for 1.4.3. This update mostly focuses on polishing and clearing up strange things in AATAG.
Removed the "counting frames" and replaced it with something that is less weird.
Significantly reduced the amount of swearing.
Fixed Annie having some bonkers insane lines in the mirror room.
Removed a few obscure movie references and stuff that nobody understands.
Removed the mirror Annie expositing all over you in Hard Mode.
Cleaned up some dialogue.
The toy plane no longer follows Jane when you are controlling her.
Made all chase sequences significantly easier and less frustrating.
Removed Herobrine.

Patch 1.4.2
Hey everyone! Here is patch 1.4.2 to Annie and the Art Gallery
Before I get into the patch notes, I just want to update everyone on the status of Tale of Two Sardines. It's going really well, actually. The layout of the game is more or less done! Right now, I'm working on getting a few playtests done, and writing down a bunch of the side stories. Then, it will be onto more art, making the choices work, polishing, and adding music and SFX. I hope I can get more info out about this game very soon!
Without further ado, here are the patch notes for AATAG 1.4.2!
Annie turned on the "Mirror Front Camera" setting on her phone.
Added the ability to change keybinds in-game.
Changed several of the inspiration painting quotes to be less out of place.
Redid three inspiration paintings.
Shortened and streamlined a lot of dialogue. (Again!)
Changed a specific 1/40 chance event into a guaranteed thing to happen on your 2nd playthrough (or on hard mode)
Renamed "Command Remember" to "Useless Option".

Patch 1.4.1
Wait, jswessler! Didn't you say that 1.4 would be the last update to Annie and the Art Gallery?
Well, yeah. But who doesn't like MORE updates!?!?
Added WASD support (WASD to move, Shift to run, Space Bar to interact, ESC for menu)
Added an "Exit Game" option to the title screen.
Fixed one line in the origami gallery where Brendan spontaneously pops back into existence.
A quick fix for taking screenshots: Pressing F12 should no longer bring up a dev console.
Added a hint for the paper scene in the origami gallery. Just for reference: YOU DO NOT NEED TO LITERALLY DIE IRL TRYING TO GET AROUND THE PAPER. JUST WALK UP TO IT AND PRESS Z.

Update 1.4 + New Game Announcement!
Hi everyone! I have two things to announce today!
Firstly, my next game now has a steam page! It's called "Tale of Two Sardines", and you can wishlist it today! I'm excited to be working on this new game!
I'm going to be shifting my focus over to this game. Unless a big issue crops up, Annie and the Art Gallery will stop getting updates after this.
Without further ado, here is the last (maybe) update to AATAG!
New intro art that better reflects the design of the art gallery.
Misc text/dialgoue changes.
Fixed a few more things not being interactable.
Annie now reacts to a few more objects in unique ways.
Annie now blinks less frequently.
Optimzied a few achievement checking timers, the game should run slightly better now.
New faces for both Annie and Brendan!

Patch 1.3.9
Patch 1.3.9 fixes a few more bugs and problems with the game.
Removed the "Low FPS Mode" because it was causing problems on >60Hz displays.
Added a bunch of meta commentary and jokes to Hard Mode. Most of these are inspired by the dialogue structure in Pizza Game.
Tweaked a bit of dialogue.
New faces for Brendan. (Will be coming in a separate update in a few days)
Removal of a really weird system that I added with 1.1 to try to jumpscare you a few times. I think all this did was cause bugs though. Idk.
Slightly updated steam art.
This will likely be the final patch to Annie and the Art Gallery. Unless something big comes up that needs fixing, I'm going to be switching my focus to something... fishy!

Patch 1.3.8
Patch 1.3.8 fixes some bugs and makes some quality of life improvements to the game.
Tweaked and streamlined most of the long dialogue scenes. This is the main thing about this update, and it should make the game significantly less frustrating in general.
Shortened some of the time delays in the dialogue in the long scenes.
Moved one of the hard mode saves to the start of the origami gallery. This will stop you from having to replay long dialogue if you die.
Changed a reference to Firestarter (2022) to a reference to The 4400 (2004) because it doesn't suck as much. (Although the remake still sucks)
Added more banter between Annie and Brendan toward the middle of the game.
Added one extra "hard mode paper" that completes the vague story they show. This one is provided automatically upon entering the final chase scene in hard mode.
Finalized a separate side-story with a few new mechanics, an achievement, and a new drawing, unlocked after the game is completed on hard mode after doing certain things.
Also fixed a few bugs, including one where you couldn't get out of Jane's death picture, and another regarding arrows staying on screen when they shouldn't.

Kylee has been given 15 new faces with increased emotions.
This update also better integrates these new faces into the dialogue, and fixes some bugs.
Brendan will likely be getting a "facelift" haha okay that wasn't funny in the near future!
