Fixed:
Bug with tooltips related to books read by the workers that would display when the read books window is closed.
Bug with the re-education machine which made it impossible to place furniture in the room below it.
Reduced the size of the exquisite throne and mahogany table so that they could be placed in any room.
Bug where a notification stating the "Prepare for the Fair" quest would begin when an employee was fired.
The lumberjack does not bring any logs to the forge. After updating, load a save with a game day in which you have not yet hired a lumberjack.
Hunter does not deliver food.
Bug that caused bonus skill levels to drop to zero when hiring a new worker.
Bug with displaying the debuff timer in the re-education room.
Bug with displaying Vlad's portrait instead of Finley's portrait during the order for crafting packaging for the cure.

Re-education room and new helper system!

We have prepared a brand-new update for everyone who loves the tale of Arthur and his friends.
A new cutscene will fill you in on what happened to Arthur between the first fair and the beginning of the main game.
Anvil Saga now features decorations and a lighting system for rooms. You can now purchase over 20 new items that will allow you to further customize each space to your liking.
The "re-education room" allows you to remove unnecessary perks and to reroll character traits. But be careful, because there is a downside: after removing a perk, the character loses some health and will temporarily receive the "dizziness" perk.
We also added a "helper" system, which allows you to hire a variety of helpers with unique bonuses. After repairing the helper's cabin, you will have access to a hunter, a lumberjack, a treasurer, an old soldier, and a minstrel all for a reasonable fee.
Finally, there are new side quests for day 44. You'll find out how the stories of Gobin or Danna will end.

The bulk of Anvil Saga's development is complete, but we have one final piece of exciting news for 2023. Fixed:
"A too-strict fast", "I hate storylines," and "Reassignment" achievements not working correctly;
Bug causing some items to remain in hidden tasks for blacksmiths when refusing to fulfill Antonio's order;
Bug with the woodworking room in the quest "Impeccable stool";
Incorrect playback of the mushroom-eating animation of one of the workers;
Displaying sparks from an anvil when doing other jobs on reload;
Incorrect display of the apprentice's portrait in dialogs;
Graphic bug with incorrect display of the price of a door after buying that door;
Bug with losing winnings from the fair when reloading the day 20 save.
New:
Аdded the Japanese language.
You can now select an apprentice for the fair. The selected apprentice participates in dialogs.
It is now possible to load the game after a defeat without going to the menu.
Bandits no longer take bookcases as punishment
On that note, we would like to thank everyone who purchased the game in Early Access and on release, wrote reviews, submitted bug reports, and shared ideas on how to improve the gameplay.

We're happy to tell you that we'll continue to support the game!
In fact, we are planning on releasing at least one more big update, which will include:
Additional side quests for the third chapter;
Illustrations for the prologue and epilogue;
New functionality for more comfortable gameplay. (we won't spill the beans – you'll see for yourself in the next update!)
We are also considering releasing several DLCs, but the ideas are still being discussed.

Added a new sprite for the stall improvement button if improvement is forbidden.
Blacksmith skills in the interface are now sorted not by skill base level but by base level and equipment bonus.
Removed the screen darkening around the edges when pausing during dialog.

Masked Bandit aristocrats getting stuck during the plague after completing an order;
Disappearing interface after refusing Bandits on day 50;
No quest after accepting the monk's order on day 7 when using old saves;
Bug with the idle-state of a character working in the mine after reloading;
Actor Vlad getting stuck on the third fair;
Lack of ending for the third fair in some elections;

Bug that caused the witches' debuff, "Sabbath", does not work;

Edge scrolling no longer works when the store, hiring menu, and journal are open;
A bug that caused "-2:" instead of "-1" to be displayed when denying Bandit Knights.
Gameplay changes based on feedback:
Rewritten the order acceptance description in the second witch's order for clarity;
Antonio's store is now always open, even if the rest of the store's functionality is locked;
When sawing a log into planks, workers now take a new log themselves after the old one runs out;
Free equipment from the main game is transferred to fairs, not just the equipment of Arthur and his apprentice;
Added information to the election window for complex orders and side quests that these are optional quests;
Added a hint about the appearance of a separate plaque after opening wooden orders;
Added an indicator for idle blacksmiths;
Added animation of Jean-Jacques working at the third fair;
Added explanations for changing faction relationships when accepting an order and refusing to fulfill an order;
Fixed some of Monty's animations.

Added easy mode and fixed more than a dozen bugs

Thank you to everyone who supports our team by submitting bug reports for Anvil Saga. It helps us to fix things quickly and create the perfect blacksmithing game for you.
After reading the feedback, we realized that the game is very difficult for some people; we have decided to add an easy mode. The gold reward for items and bulk orders is increased by 150%. Bulk orders also provide a 175% boost to reputation, and regular orders grant 2 prestige points. Food in easy mode heals workers to half of their maximum health. Also, the food spoils 1.5 times slower in both modes.
The following bugs have been fixed:
Displaying the incorrect lines for Doan if the player made a frying pan for her;
A bug with the timer before the fair;
Bug where the builder would not arrive to build a room;
Interface blinking on 4K monitors;
Locking buttons on the keyboard after selling a bookcase;
Appearance of empty event windows;
Northener and Finley become stuck during the third fair;
Bug causing an item to still be purchased for a complex order after a customer refused the order and left;
A bug causing progress to reset to zero on day 20;
Bug causing England's order to remain in the order feed in Chapter 3 when accepting a Bandit's order;
Bug causing mixed orders at the fair to bring 0 points;
Bug that caused plank-paid orders to show up as food-paid orders in the order feed;
Ability to hire an extra worker while the current worker was on a task outside the forge;
Displaying a bed instead of a French merchant's order;
Disappearance of the first monk order from the order feed;
Bug causing Vlad's wife to arrive on day 55 after successfully completing all quests on day 53;
Bug with the size of the log rack collider;
Incorrect tooltips in the tutorial;
Bug that caused the religious holidays modifier to start in seasons other than summer;
Bug that caused the stall at the second fair to depend on the results of the preparation for the first fair;
A bug that caused the transition between the two far rooms on the lower level of the mine to not be displayed;
Characters get stuck on the way to the sawmill if it is below ground level.
Bug that caused customers with carving orders to come only in the absence of any modifiers;
Appearance of a black screen instead of a list of completed orders in the Order journal;
Disappearance of the interface in the tutorial after a Baron's order;
Out-of-bounds text in Antonio's first order;
Bug sometimes causing the courier to not bring tools after purchase;
A bug causing a sleep animation on the bed even if the blacksmith is currently awake;
A bug causing a bandit stealing furniture to get stuck after reloading;
Bug that caused the spawn frequency of customers for different modifiers to not be saved;
Bug, because of which, after the completion of Olivia's order in the Order journal entered a record that the order had failed;
Bug with the roof displaying when double-clicking on the design menu;
Fixed several bugs in the Chinese localization.
In addition, we have added:
Korean language;
Ability to refuse Antonio's bulk order on the select tab;
Camera speed settings and edge scrolling, plus the ability to disable them;
Lines about the bells so that players do not assume that blacksmiths not falling asleep during this debuff is a bug.
Indicators displaying the level when blacksmiths start to require sleep and food;
A display of the current reputation level with the faction in story choices;
A button to open the pause menu;
Dialogues with the bandit stealing furniture when he first arrives;
Narrator phrases explaining faction mechanics;
Tooltip for orders requiring books.
And, finally, we changed the inscription on the fairs. Instead of "Save and Exit" it now says "Exit" to avoid the misconception that you can save at fairs.

Please note that since there is new content added to all three chapters of the game, your old save files will not be compatible with it. You will need to start a new game to experience all of the new content. Sorry!
In this update, the choices you make will affect the outcome of your story, influencing the fates of every character in Anvil Saga. Who will become the greatest blacksmith in the land, Arthur or Jean-Jacues? Who will win the hand of the fair maiden Olivia? Will the Baron remain the most powerful man in the province? You decide these and many more.
Unfortunately, we will need a little more time to prepare quality translations into Korean and Japanese. Therefore, they will be added to the game at a later date.
