What awaits you in the third chapter of the Anvil Saga and more
Greetings to all the gifted blacksmiths!
We're nearing the full release of Anvil Saga, and, in the meantime, we want to tell you about all of the features you can expect in the highly-anticipated update.
There will be new content, from the continuation of the story's finale to a wide range of changes in the previously released chapters. There will be two new quests waiting for you, which will further affect the story. In order to play through them, you'll need to start the game again.
During the third chapter of the game, Arther will face harsh new challenges, such as a terrible disease that has swept across the province. And the final battle will influence whether England, France, or the Bandits will prevail.
The length of the plague, the lives of several heroes, and the outcome of the final battle will directly depend on your decisions. Choose carefully – the fate of the province depends on you.
In the Anvil Saga finale, Arthur and Jean-Jacques will face off in a blacksmith's duel within the imposing walls of the Baron's castle. You'll need to fulfill visitor's orders to decide the outcome of this epic tale.
We have created six different endings for Arthur and Jean-Jacques, and you will learn the fate of the Baron,the faction heads, Finley, Olivia, Vlad, and even the Headman! Your actions will affect their fate, determining whether they will live happy lives or not.
This update will also contain the wood carving mechanic. Arthur will have to master not only the skills of a carpenter but also a carver. Life in the Middle Ages was hard and you needed a lot of skills to survive.
The full release update for Anvil Saga will include:
More than 10 hours of exciting gameplay;
More than 30 complex customers with special needs and outlandish orders;
Around 90 regular customers visiting the forge every day looking for a solution to their everyday problems;
Story characters who can become either friend of foe of Arthur;
25 modifiers that affect gameplay and your business tactics;
Plenty of quests and side-quests;
Oddball apprentices with their own peculiarities, including funny and not so funny buffs and debuffs for them;
4 the stall levels and lots of decor for the forge of your dreams;
A variety of end game options.
Thank you for supporting our small team throughout the development of Anvil Saga. Sharing your impressions, suggesting ideas, and helping us to find bugs has been an absolute joy.
If Anvil Sags is not in your Steam library yet, it's time to add it there!
See you soon in a small, still French, province behind the anvil and furnace.
Regards, Anvil Saga Team

Interface Bugs, Wooden Orders, and 30 Other Things Fixed
Greetings to all the gifted blacksmiths!
We've done another massive series of tests, fixed many bugs, and are ready to share with you the updated version of Anvil Saga.
What's fixed:
Freezing pop-up windows with customers' emotions during dialogs.
A character who has read the book "Woodworking Bible" can no longer get a perk that allows them to do things without reading this book.
COMPLETELY fixed a bug that could cause customers with wooden orders to come into the sandbox before the workbench was set up.
Bug with the sun in the tutorial.
Bug that made it possible to open the store early in the tutorial.
Bug that caused empty windows to appear in the tutorial while hovering the mouse cursor over the blacksmith's skill icons.
Darkening borders of orders in the tutorial.
Bug, because of which the buttons under the interface of selecting the roof type and walls when building or rebuilding a room were pressed.
Bug with the game freezing if the sick Arthur is beaten with Danna's frying pan.
Bug that caused orders in the tutorial to not darken when skipping the tutorial.
If a character whose name was mentioned in a quest died, the quest stayed in the feed forever.
Bug with overlaying the interface on the window that pops up when hovering over the employee dismissal button.
Bug in the tutorial with the door not being displayed.
Fixed the furniture placement system that made it inconvenient to place furniture on the second floor.
Bugs with text not fitting into pop-up windows.
Fixed a bug when, during hiring a worker, a character with different characteristics and a different name was hired.
Fixed the invisible borders of objects in furniture rearrangement mode, because of which it was hard to "hook" items with the mouse and drag them to another room.
Fixed several cases of displaying the bed icon instead of items in global orders.
Bug in the menu when the saving files names were broken by changing the language.
Text in the cut scene after the second fair.
Out-of-bounds texts in the journal.
Bug with the not-working perk "Greedy".
Bug with overlapping text in the cut scenes at the fair if you click on the back arrow during the text output.
Bug with incomplete output of the blacksmith's name in the blacksmith interface at the bottom of the screen.
Bug with the order feed and priorities when closing/opening.
Bug when Antonio's portrait was shown in the order feed instead of the unique item icons.
Bug with rearranging/buying furniture that broke the logic of rearranging furniture.
Fixed the invisible borders of some items that were causing problems with the installation of furniture on the second floor.
Bug with an inaccurate description of log racks.
Bug with resource string transposition for three-digit values.
Bug with incorrect text in the quest journal if the player made a perfect locket for Olivia.
Fixed the dialog bug if you fail the mug order for the Frenchmen or Englishmen for the fair.
Bug that made it possible to click on the exclamation mark of an unfinished room through the blacksmith tool assignment window.
Thanks to everyone who supports the game and lets us know about bugs. You are the best! We remind you that we have Discord, where you can report bugs and communicate with developers and other players.

Additional bugfix of the latest update
Greetings to all the gifted blacksmiths!
We've fixed fresh bugs from the last update and added something new.
What's new:
Added outline around the worker pool refresh button in case the player can refresh it for free thanks to a bonus from the English.
Now, customers’ order wait time is not reduced while playing a request to place an order on loan.
Bug fixes:
Memory leaks and FPS drops when playing for long periods of time.
Bug with clicking through the interface while changing the room design if there was another room under the interface.
Bug with the failure dialog of making a mallet for Vlad ("VladThirdFail" was shown instead of texts).
Bug with the disappearance of shields from both the mercenaries’ additional order and from the story order of England/France in case of failure of one of the orders (previously, instead of failure of one order, both orders failed at once).
Bug when sometimes Antonio asked to make 0 items for the faction.
Bug with overlaying the quest interface on the blacksmith interface in the lower-left corner. Now only 3 or 4 quests are shown at the same time, depending on the screen resolution. We plan to add quest scrolling in a future patch. At the moment, all quests, if there are more than 3 or 4 of them, can be viewed through the journal.
Bug in the sandbox, because of which the first pool of workers in the hiring menu was always empty (0 available workers before clicking on the refresh button).
Bug with the first bonus of the English faction not working. Instead of providing the opportunity to refresh the pool of workers once a day for free, the "bonus" took off 50 coins instead of 25, and also incorrectly showed the cost of updating the pool: 0 instead of 25, even if the bonus was not ready to use.
A bug when selling a log rack caused the number of logs available to not decrease.
The font size in the hiring menu is now dynamic; the worker's name doesn't go outside the window.
Bug with transferring workers to the fair along with food.
Bug with Vlad not ordering anything during the "Christmas" modifier.
Unique customers getting stuck during the "Christmas" modifier.
Conditions for getting the "A too-strict fast" achievement.
Thank you for supporting the game and letting us know about any bugs that are discovered. Our small team really appreciates it.
Regards, Anvil Saga Team

The new Anvil Saga update is available now!
Greetings to all the gifted blacksmiths!
We are releasing a new update with a number of important changes and bug fixes for Anvil Saga.
First of all, Arthur can no longer obtain the "Pacifist" trait. This has been requested by the warlike players since the game was first released – if you're one of them, let us know in the comments below.
The order feed's priority list has been changed. Now there can be only one order with a certain priority, instead of several. For example, only a single order with a priority of "1", "2", "3", etc. We also added the ability to drag and drop order cards.
Improved the mechanics of equipping workers. Each blacksmith has a pool of three items and will automatically switch between them for the most efficient work completion on a particular machine. The equipment interface has also been redesigned specifically for this mechanic.
The workers' remuneration was overhauled to appear in a separate window, similar to the tax payment system. A worker's mood will decrease if you refuse to pay them.
A worker's speed will be directly influenced by their mood; characters who are not a part of the plot will leave the forge if they are in a terrible mood. You will need to keep an eye on your budget to ensure that the forge doesn't go bankrupt.
There are also small improvements to the visuals and sound design, such as animated birds appearing in the background and sound effects when changing the appearance of a room.
In addition to the major interface changes, we have also added several small improvements:
The store will alert you if you do not have enough space for food or resources.
The amount of food will appear when you hover your cursor over a cupboard.
Wood has been moved to a separate category in the store.
Items from Antonio's shop have been added to the order feed.
Fixed bugs:
Bug with Oscar's tutorial.
Bug with displaying Olivia's order for tools.
Bug with the debuff of bandits.
Bug with gaining experience from sharpening on the sharpening stone.
Bug with bandits taking away Arthur's winnings after the first fair.
Bug with chronologically incorrect arrival of Arthur the impostor in the sandbox.
Bug with Vlad coming to the forge several times a day. Now he can only come to the forge once a day.
Bug where customers who had already placed an order left when the counter closed.
Other than that:
Revamped the prestige system. Every 5 points of prestige, the cost of orders is increased by 1% up to a total cost of 150%.
Increased the speed of spawning customers by 30%. Also, if a monk is spawned, with a probability of 70% the game will spawn a witch, and vice versa.
Added the ability for the player to accept story orders that require wood, even if the player does not have a workbench.
Increased the capacity of log racks.
Fixed prices for logs.
Fixed the conditions for building the bottom left room in the mine.
Added new achievements!
Thank you to everyone for supporting Anvil Saga! Please share your impressions of the game here or in our Discord. We read all of the feedback and constantly try to improve the game for you.

The Long-awaited Anvil Saga Update is Live!
Greetings to all the gifted blacksmiths!
The new update is live, and it is full of great stuff.
First of all, we added almost all of the contester's customers to the game, and only one is remaining.
The second important thing is we finally fixed the annoying ‘Small-town celebrations’ bug. Now the shop works properly, the courier will deliver goods, and your workers will not have to starve, get sick, and eat the underground mushrooms.
Notice: all your saves in the story mode are compatible with the new Update only until day 20.
Here’s the list of new stuff the Update has to offer:
Scholars, a new customer type, with which you are already familiar from our previous spotlight.
The Second Fair that’ll allow you to show your woodcraft mastery.
Special new customers: Death, Doctor What, Doctor Where, Doctor When, Wise Old Man, Sullen Swordsman, Adventure Sicker.
Some new faces and the bulk orderers you are familiar with: Gobin, Doan J’Ark, Vlad, Gnomes, Ragnar, King Arthur… and True King Arthur? Hmmm, quite an intrigue right here, it is time to dip into the game to see where it will lead.
Improved Visuals:
The houses and tents are now in the tutorial’s and the fair’s background.
Improved weather effects - dusks and dawns are added to the game.
Migratory birds are flying in the sky.
Also, we put some gameplay changes: now the workshop requires only a grindstone OR a workbench, and you don’t need two have them both for it. And pay attention cause a workbench MUST be placed at the workshop.
Furthermore the ‘Courier’ bug, we applied some other fixes:
Bugs with completion and acceptance of bulk orders.
Incorrect bulk orders counter.
The bug when fraction skills weren’t applied to the taxman.
The interface disappearance after or during certain events.
Some sharpening quests are redesigned.
The blocker after not completing the Baron’s order on the fifth day.
The hunters and soldiers freezing during the winter modifier applied.
A bunch of incorrectly displayed system texts on journal, events, and dialogues.
An incorrect display of order signs after a restart.
Some of the quests didn’t require players to buy stuff from Antonio’s Store when they should.
Thanks for all your support, comments, and suggestions, those are truly inspiring and help us to move further. Play and share your thoughts about new stuff, your ideas, and your experiences on our Discord.
Regards, The Anvil Saga Team
Scholars, new customers, and more coming to Anvil Saga!
Greetings to all the gifted blacksmiths!
We are hard at work on the next update and want to share a few details with you.
We have completed the portraits for three new special customers, and finished writing side quest stories for them. Soon, you'll be able to meet them and play through their quests – we hope you and Arthur will enjoy working with them.
By the way, do they remind you of anyone? Write your guesses in the comments.
In addition, we've also added a new type of customer: scholars. Scholars in medieval times were a select group of individuals who belonged to an educated elite and were involved in the study and practical application of science. They earned their title because of their ability to both read and write.
Scientists, engineers, alchemists, philosophers, and other bright minds will now turn to Arthur for help – and they'll have plenty of orders. The bandit faction, by the way, will have some of the brightest minds doing not so intelligent things… so expect counterfeiters.
Otherwise, we're working on side quests for the second chapter of the game, improving the use of tools, and fixing small bugs.
As a reminder, we have a hearty Discord, where you can chat about the game and share your ideas and experiences. Join in =)
Regards, Anvil Saga Team
