November Update: Say goodbye to Halloween and... welcome Santa!

What a beautiful day it is! The snow is falling all around us, and children playing and having fun. It's the season of... new Christmas decorations in Aquarium Designer! ho-ho-ho!
Christmas mode is on!
Let's say goodbye to Halloween, skulls, and pumpkins, and welcome the jolly Christmas spirit! Aquarium Designer is back with a special Christmas mode that will allow you to watch a beautiful snow landscape through the window. However, this year, that's not all. We have some special Christmas decorations that will remain in the game even after the season is over. Same for the Halloween ones :) We want you to be able to go back to this beautiful holy season any time of the year and atmospheric decor should do the trick :)
Sea Life DLC is jolly as well!
Christmas mode may not be present in the Sea Life DLC but you can still show your marine fish how snow looks. Use the bright substrates and create a little winter wonderland in the tank. Future of Aquarium Designer DLCs

The Steam Awards 2022: Labor of Love
Hello Designers,
It's been over a year since Aquarium Designer was released. Since then, we've provided you with many updates that added a lot of content to the game. New fish, plants, functionalities... and it is still just the top of the mountain of things we have in store for you!
Labor of Love Award
As we keep listening to your wishes and try to update the game with what you want to see in it, we can't help thinking that you like Aquarium Designer as much as we do. Your engagement in the game after a year since it launched is simply amazing! We couldn't have hoped for something like that! Thank you! Therefore, we would like to ask you to nominate our Aquarium Designer for the Labor of Love Award in The Game Awards 2022. We will be grateful for every voice! With each new person who hears about the game, we get more feedback on fish behavior and different mechanics. The amount of repetitions of some elements in your opinions is often a key factor in planning updates. Therefore, the more Designers there are, the better the game may become.
Meanwhile, a new update is arriving in the upcoming days. Ho-ho-ho! Let the snow fall!

Halloween update + About our mistake with DLC Sea Life!
Dear Designers,
First of all, thank you for your support and tons of emails, private messages, and comments that some of you have received the DLC Sea Life for free. Unfortunately, it was a result of our mistake with this DLC configuration. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience. Sea Life DLC was not supposed to be a free DLC. Therefore, we had to take the necessary steps to erase free access. It concerns all players who have already enjoyed the DLC while it was free and any new buyers.
We hope that if you have already played the DLC and liked it, you will decide to buy it and keep playing it further. Remember that the launch discount lasts until Thursday, so you can still catch it at a lower price!
We've also prepared some fixes for you! Thank you for reporting them via bug reporter and the game's Discord and Steam channels. That helps us a lot!
Some of the bugs we've managed to fix are:
The covers should fit all tanks correctly now.
Plants and corals should be easily placeable on stones.
None of the quests should throw you out of the interior.
There should be various options for silicon and glass in the design tools
Achievements should work correctly now. You should be able to get them all!

Halloween is coming!
Halloween is getting closer! Therefore, we have a special Halloween update for you! You'll find a new Halloween theme for your free-play interior and 3 decorative spooky pumpkins to light up your tanks!

Aquarium Designer: Sea Life DLC IS HERE!
Dear Designers,
Tomorrow Aquarium Designer will celebrate its 1st birthday! The game launched on October 21, 2021. Since then, it has come a long way. We've started regularly updating the game, first with the Halloween event and then by adding more and more content. Every month, there was a new fish, plant, decoration, tool, or functionality. We've added the possibility of planting plants on the stones and decor. We've provided you with merging rocks and creating beautiful stone constructions. So you can see, it's been a busy year - in the best meaning possible.
We're giving you the first Aquarium Designer DLC. Sea Life DLC is particularly close to our hearts as we've always felt that saltwater fish are a must-have in our game. We know it took us some time to deliver it, but trust us, we wanted to make it as good as possible!
You may still encounter some bugs, and we'll be grateful if you could report them via the in-game bug reporter. It allows us to fix any problems faster.
Sea kingdom is yours to create!
Choose from 40 fish, 20 algae, over 20 corals, almost 30 new decorations, and many old and new rocks, roots, etc. Create your underwater marine paradise, with or without fish! Complete new missions and help your clients make their dreams come true, or follow them and build the tank you've always wanted to have!

September Update and new quests!
Dear Designers,
As September came to its end, we have some new, long-awaited stuff for you in this new update. There is also a new piece of information on the DLC Sea Life release date, so let's get into it!
New quests - written, sealed, delivered, they're yours!
There are 4 new orders awaiting you in the game! Not only will you experience some more fish care, but also get a teeny-tiny introduction to aquascaping. As usual, you'll have to read e-mails very carefully to find some hidden requirements. Enjoy these new missions!
Sea Life DLC is coming in October!
First, forgive us for this little delay. We want to be sure that Sea Life DLC is the best it can be. However, we found some serious issues with the latest builds, and because of them, we've decided to move the release date to October. This is the last time we've changed the date and you can expect this wonderful Sea Life world to be available in the second half of the month.
And remember that we have some seasonal updates coming up, just as we did last year! Are you excited to feel the Halloween vibe?

August update: stack them up!
Dear Designers,
August is coming to an end! We were at Gamescom last week. Trust us - what a crazy week it was! In a positive meaning, of course! Therefore, we've decided to move the Friday update to this day. Again, we have something that you've been asking for.
Stacking and merging stones
With today's update, you can stack stones in piles and merge them together. This will allow you to create stone columns or even a whole stone wall as shown in the picture above! We can't wait to see your designs! Make sure to post them in the Steam thread or in our Discord! You're always welcome to join!
Sea Life DLC is coming to you this September!
Well, September is considered a summer month, so we can say that we do as we promised, and the Sea Life DLC to Aquarium Designer will release in the upcoming month. We had to take a bit more time to prepare everything correctly. To be honest, summer wasn't kind to us, and many people from the development and production teams fell ill at some point. However, we preferred to give the production process a bit more of our time than to give you an unpolished product.

JULY UPDATE: we have something literally HUGE in store!
Dear Designers,
We're so glad to see your positive response to Aquarium Designer's monthly updates. It makes us happy to see that the team's work is appreciated. Today, we have something that - once again - you've been asking us for. Are you ready to find out what it is? Because it's kind of a huge thing.
New size of aquarium
From now on, you can create beautiful underwater landscapes in even larger tanks! Their capacity is over 300 liters, the biggest of them reaching even 370 liters. This gives you much more space to design each centimeter of the aquarium. Add more plants, more stones, and more fish. Compose bigger underwater landscapes and make your freshwater kingdom thrive!
You can also notice that most fish species swim on relevant levels of the tank now. You've mentioned how important that is for you and we're doing our best to deliver that!

Hot fix for misspelling in quests
Hello Designers,
recently you've reported a lot of problems with a misspelling in quests. Instead of a full objective name, there was only "a" visible. We've fixed it right away and today's build doesn't have that bug anymore. Sorry for the inconvenience! We hope you'll enjoy the game now without any other obstractions.

Dear Designers, Happy Clean Your Aquarium Day!
We've decided that - even though this day falls on Saturday this year and we don't usually work on Saturdays - the June update has to reach you on this date. The reason is simple - there aren't too many aquaristic holidays during the year. And cleaning your tank seems like a good occasion to celebrate, right? Especially that we've got some new stuff for you today!
New items!
As usual, we have something new for you! This time you will be able to find 2 new roots and 1 new plant in the store. The plant is the African Water Fern that some of you have been asking for. And so - there you go! We're hoping that all of these elements will add a new charm to your beautiful tanks!
Animations - part 1
You've been asking us to improve fish animations. As I've mentioned in the previous announcement, we keep working on animating new behaviors. However, to get off on the right fin, we've taken care of improving the basic swimming animations we already have. If you have any notes, feel free to share them with us. Or just simply share your admiration in Steam Discussion or on our Discord :)
Saltwater DLC awaits!
Do you remember that we have a first Aquarium Designer DLC coming? And it's a BIGGIE! We really can't wait to play it. We'll be looking for some beta testers in July, so join our Discord and be the first to sign up! Remember to add the DLC to your wishlist as well!

Major update: the thing you've been asking for
Dear Designers.
As we approach the end of May, we've decided to give you something you've been asking us for A LOT. Really. So many private messages, so many Discord comments, so many reviews... We knew that it had to be added to the game. And today - here it is.
Choose your favorite color
We've checked what the Internet says about various colors of fish, we've talked about them with our consultant (mentioned in the credits of the game), and we got to work. Today we give you its juiciest fruit - 70 new colors of the fish species present in the game. Those of them that had more color variations in real life got more colorful in our game as well.
For example, you can now have 8 different variations of Siamese Fighting fish, 4 different ones of Rainbow Shark, 7 of Endler's Guppy, 13 of Discus, 7 of Swordtail... and many more!
Enjoy! Your tanks will quickly become way more colorful now :)
Is that all? NO!
Of course, we have something more for you. In May, there are two new things: a plant called Hygrophila Pinnatifida (Dwarf Hygrophila) and a heater - Heating Aqua 02. We're hoping you will enjoy both a lot :)
What's coming next?
If you haven't heard yet, we're preparing for the first Aquarium Designer's DLC launch this Summer! We can't wait to share whole new content with you! Make sure to add the saltwater DLC to your wishlist - this will allow you to be the first to know if we decide to run any playtests or beta tests before the launch.
We're also working on the next updates. In the upcoming months, you're gonna get some new functionalities you've been asking for, as well as more quests based on the items added to the game since it launched. We hope that you will be satisfied with everything that is coming. That being said, we also keep working on improving the animations. Keep your fins crossed!
