So August is fast approaching - and there's a pretty important date in there of August 11th when King Wash will open for the world to get their smalls clean and their scores high!
However - REAL SOON AFTER on August 24th we are going to Cologne with Wired Productions, meaning if you haven't had the chance to play yet by then you can swing on by the Indie Arena Booth to learn the finer arts of laundromat management and arcade hustle - and then get your hands on the rest of Wired's eclectic indie family, with games such as The Last Worker appearing on Switch for the first time, and the first public showing of Tiny Troopers Global Ops!
Say this to any Retro Gamer in the UK and your mind is immediately drawn to Video Game Royalty Dominick Diamond. Over the weekend, he washed his enormous pants in the Arcade Paradise Beta. and even more than that he wrote about it in his
"Now I don’t know if it will get tedious after a while, but I got to say if the beta wasn’t closed? It would be the first game I’d fire up after work. It’s original, it’s got that elusive comedy wit and cool thing I was talking about by the bucketload. So well done Nosebleed Interactive and Wired Productions cos I think you are onto something here"
To sum it up. He thinks Arcade Paradise is NOT Pants!
You might be wondering why this means so much to us. The simple truth is Dominick Diamond was the host of GAMESMASTER from 1992 to 1998. (We won't talk about the Dexter Fletcher year.) and the king of double entendres and sexual innuendos. This was the biggest videogame show the UK has ever seen and is etched on every retro gamer's memory. We all dreamed of getting our hands on a Golden Joystick. Still the pinnacle of video game achievement.
Particular highlights were Dominick getting married to "Saturday Night." songstress Whigfield.

While you are over on YouTube. You should really check out Insert Coin | The Making of Arcade Paradise.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to Si Pittman from Regen Games in Norwich. Si and his partner Amber are a massive part of the Arcade Paradise Community and it was Si that got the beta code to Dominick.
The devs from Nosebleed Interactive talk about the inspiration behind the games in Arcade paradise and how some games have games hidden in them and even some of them have a game in them!
They also talk about which of the games they would take to a desert island.
