Arcade Tycoon - Minor Hotfix

Just a small hotfix for a couple of bugs that appeared after the last update.


  • Fixed a bug which stopped the drink and decoration information panels from opening.
  • Fixed multiple bugs with the small toilet.


Arcade Tycoon - Minor Hotfix


  • Fixed a bug which caused a indefinite loading screen when proceeding to the next level.
  • Announcements now only popup once while on the screen. (No more returning to 10 notifications about low power while you go and grab a drink.)
  • Fixed a bug which caused the mechanic to walk on the spot after the game was loaded. (You will need to fire and hire to fix past occurrences of this bug)
  • Fixed a bug which caused the Main UI to be removed when reloading a save.
  • NPC and machine information panels now show an updated image if clicked on while paused, they also no longer stack on top of each other on the screen.

Arcade Tycoon - 0.2.2 - Hotfix Update


  • Fixed a bug which stopped the soundtrack from playing in the campaign.
  • Fixed a bug which stopped music volume from being adjusted via the settings.
  • Fixed a bug with the bronze objective on level 12.
  • Added a taskbar icon.

  • Fixed a bug which incorrectly showed the status of objectives after loading.
  • Fixed a bug which caused customers to get stuck interacting with Food and Drink machines.
  • Fixed a bug which caused staff members to work for free on loading a save. (Unfortunately old saves will still have staff members working for free, Fire and rehire to fix this.)
  • Added a Tiny Toilet for those wanting a more slimline arcade.
  • Added sounds for Retro arcade machines.
  • Changed the sound type of "Insert coin" to be SFX rather than UI based.

Fixed a bug when attempting to move food and drink to a position that was invalid causing it to be moved back inaccurately.
Added Announcements for various levels of cash income and happiness.
Added Tax for each year as well as an Announcement to go with it.
Added a "Thoughts:" tag in the customer HUD to more clearly show thoughts.
Fixed a bug which resulted in red queue tiles being left behind after selling a machine.
Fixed an issue that caused the floor to break when loading after pressing the resume.
Fixed a few bugs due to failing to move a machine.
Fixed a bug which stopped staff from receiving wages after a save and load.
Fixed the land plots in sandbox resetting back to the original price after save and load.

Added some popup dialogues to make transitions easier.

Loading now loads the most recent save for the level you are on.
Fixed a pathing bug in Haunted Hotel.
Fixed a bug which stopped customers from using different door when entering and leaving some levels.
Fixed a bug which caused customers to get stuck after playing an arcade.
Fixed a bug which sometimes stopped you from placing carpets down behind transparent walls.
Fixed a bug which resulted in customers walking off screen when leaving the arcade.

We have a great community on discord who have been a solid rocks, suggesting new ideas, testing for bugs and very enthusiastic about Arcade Tycoon. We want to say a big thanks to all these people.

A couple people have been concerned about the delay of updates and leaving negative reviews we would like to say we are trying are best to update regularly, games take time and we are only a small team of 3.

Changed the rotation controls to Right click & R, sorry for the confusion, Del and Backspace is now Cancel.
Changed the Cancel action to Del or Backspace.
Fixed an issue which caused the drinks menu not to close when moving.
Fixed an issue which stopped machines from being right clicked on after being moved.
Fixed an issue that caused machines and utilities from not keeping their rotation after attempting a foul move resulting in clipping.

Patch Update

Thanks to all the players who signed up and testing the game, this week we have fixed these bugs.

BUGS FIXED
~Sound bug with decorating, When you cant afford to buy any flooring a sound bug plays, and there is no feedback for not being able to afford wallpaper

~Slight Text clipping issue in thoughts UI

~ATM, Ticket and Toilet buildings don't consume/give power when turned on or off

~Slight UI bug in Finances causing squareness of corners

~Selling Utilities Does not correctly update the build able floor tiles

Power UI element changes size of UI based on content text

Z key rotates

If you buy a power cell in another game type(ie campaign) and go to sandbox, it doesn't reset and won't allow you to rebuy it

ESC key for marketing, financing and unlockables

brain freeze / all items once sold disabled those tiles (they could be all items including machines)

When reloading a level floor and wall decorations disappear

Guests can now use toilet

Resume button when first start not needed (game starts paused)

Items can be placed at doorway blocking door

Reload in sandbox false wall is present between bought areas

When reloading sandbox carpet disappears

token machines seem to not draw any power even though they say they draw 200v

Off/On button not needed on food/drink brain freeze

Loans can be taken out again after save and loading.
