Big Patch Release Date changed.
We were planning the big patch to get released tomorrow September 22 but have run into a few bugs, thus we have to move the released schedule, unfortunately. But to make sure we will meet this deadline we will be setting the release date for this update to be on October 20 which is a month from now. I know players are very excited for this new update and what it will bring to Arcfall and we want to get the game to you as fast as possible, but we also want to ensure the release is the best we can deliver in a decent amount of time so we thank you for being patient and look forward to seeing you in game on October 22. Servers will be down till this date.

Arcfall Revamped
As you may be aware, we have been very quiet for the past few months, and now it's my pleasure to tell you what has been going on with Arcfall.
As we have received great feedback from players from day one, we decided to take a step back and see how we could accomplish most of the things you all wanted. With that, we have had some major developments with regards to our tech, so we have moved Arcfall from a top-down play style to a full 3d game environment. With this move, a lot of bugs were fixed and it also opened up some amazing new gameplay systems. Unfortunately, with this, we will have to do a full character wipe, but the benefits will be well worth it. Another reason for the wipe is we are redoing the combat and skill progression system from scratch. With the new system, a player will gain experience points in crafting on every item he crafts. Certain higher-tier items will give more experience points than lower tier items. Skills will increase their level depending on how much experience points are needed to level them, this is based closely on the same progression system for a character XP leveling, but linked directly to the actions a player takes.
With combat, we will be introducing AOE abilities and mobs will have defensive abilities to counter attacks from players. With the new 3d view, we can use better effects that will trigger in-combat, making the feedback to players more enjoyable, as they strike a blow or cast a spell. The new tech also introduces a proper navmesh system allowing the server to know exactly where every player and mob's position is at any given time. This will streamline combat further as mobs will have AI, which will tell them to walk around objects to engage with players in a more realistic way.
The whole world is being rebuilt from scratch with beautiful sceneries which allow us to bring the Lore of Arcfall to the players in a more enjoyable way. Another new thing that is added is arenas which will allow players to test their skills against other players.
As we make this transition from top-down view to 3d view and the new technology, the servers will be down from Friday, August 17 until September 22 when we will be launching the new world. All players who have purchased Founders packages and coin in our in-game store will have those items renewed for you to spend on new items. We hope you are as excited about this new step in Arcfall as we are and look forward to playing alongside you on September 22, fighting dragons or taming one.
Release Pre-Alpha V1.8
Did some work on Skills and added more mobs.
**Bugs Fixed:**
- Fixed Rabbits as they had wrong skinning levels, all set to level 90 now.
- Fixed the selling of potions directly as it should rather be the recipes that's being sold.
- Stone House from store now allows chests to be activated when placed inside the house.
- Bug where the horses from the Founders Packs where not in the mail has now been fixed. If you purchase a founders Pack you should now receive the horse.
- Restored most mobs to old speed, and some lowered to better suit the game.
**New:**
- Added following recipes: Silk String, Iron Cord, Knowledge Extractor, Infused Extractor,
- Added 6 New Bows.
- Bow Making skill tree is now complete with new abilities.
- Added 25 new particle effects to abilities as a better indicator when they are used.
- Added 3 new mobs and loot.
**Balancing:**
- Adjusted pricing on some recipes to better reflect its worth.
- Set lockpicking distance to one meter which should help with people stealing from chests from outside a house.
Release Pre-Alpha V1.7
This has not as much stuff in as we wanted but mostly it is because we decided to update to a newer version of Unity for our client which is needed to get the client more stable. We did add in rings which is a whole new item type.
**Bugs Fixed:**
- Fixed Mail, added more slots.
- Fixed Conjured Pickaxe LvL 4, was not working.
- Fixed Character leveling, players can now level past 51.
- Fix In-Game store, players can now purchase coin properly with Steam Wallet and also purchase in-game Founders packs.
**New:**
- Added in around 40 Rings that's will increase stats for players. These are very low drop rate so rare find.
- Added in a few more Items into the game.
**Balancing:**
- Most mobs has had their damage and speed changed for better balancing.
Release Alpha V1.6
This is our first official Free to Play Update list, more updates to come soon.
**Bugs Fixed:**
- Fixed group mana, you will now see updates on other group members mana levels. (Requires more testing)
- Optimized Player Character system so will have less Lag Spikes.
**New:**

- Added in Experience and character levels. Now you will be able to see what a mob or player experience level is. This will also determine what quests you can get as well as increase health and Mana slightly with each level.Max xp level is 100.

- 2 New Dungeons are opened to allow testing of Dungeons.
- Completely new In-Game store added with options to purchase founders bundles through Steam.

**Balancing:**
- Changed Player Default Bag size from 16 slots to 24 slots.
- Increased Bank space from 16 slots to 56 slots.
- Spread current Quests over more character levels to better reflect the stage when to receive said quest.
- Mobs combat and health increased to better reflect the mobs level.
Arcfall Update and Changes
With the next update coming to Steam on the 6 April, we have decided to make Arcfall Free to Play. Because it already has an item store, it will not change any of the core design but will allow more players to enjoy the game. For those early supporters who bought Arcfall through Steam up and till the 6 April, we want to thank you for your early support of the game by giving you 400 Arcfall coins to use in the item store. This has a real money value of around $30. With this update we also have added more coin and items to the Founder packs to say “Thank You” to the founders.

This update will have the map expanding with 3 new Bioms to explore and 3 new dungeons. We have added all the resources you can learn in the skill tree to the world with tons more items to be crafted. An experience system has been added to allow us to present lore through quests to the players in a more fluent way. Experience levels will only influence a character’s health and mana, but all other stats are still linked directly to your skills. This makes Arcfall a combination of both Skill-based system and a XP leveling system, bring the best of both worlds together. Players will also be able to gauge enemy mobs before they attack them by the mob’s XP level.
This will be our biggest update until now and we are very excited to share this with you. With the free to play system being introduced, you will be able to invite all your friends to join the adventure.
Some small futures which were requested, like additional bags and more bag space, are also added to this update. There is so much more stuff we have added, too many things to list here, so be sure to get the game free on Steam on the 6 April.
Release Pre-Alpha V1.5
Just a small update with some fixes and a bit more content as we work towards a much bigger update later.
**Bugs Fixed:**
- Fixed all leather works leather types so they can be crafted.
- Fixed Bandage Recipes so you can craft them now.
- Fixed Chest Recipe so you will be able to craft it now.
