Mostly hidden in algaes or corals, our amphibian friends are the fastest swimmers in the underground tunnels. Brightly colored, cute and friendly, Axolotls can be found on the shores of the water filled caves, safe from the dangerous moray eels, their natural predators. To escape moray eels, you can hide in the bright algaes, or try your luck at evading them by swimming fast! But be carefull, those predators are quite dangerous!
With enough strenght to push objects; and fast enough to escape jaws of the eels, they are your best allies in your underwater journey!
Aquatic Caverns
Those underground lakes and rivers are part of the aquactic caverns. Inhabited mostly by aquatic fauna, they also have one of the most dangerous predators.
Dash between islands to avoid water, or try to find something that can swim to possess! Don't be amazed by the colors of the different iridescent corals or the cuteness of axolots, you are in a dangerous place.
Moray eels wander the area, the are hungry, and seek axolotl meat. Unfortunately, you also seek axolotls to get deeper in the caves. At least in control of axolotls, you can hide yourself from moray eels in alguaes.
Stay tuned for tomorrow! We will talk about our cute axolotls!

Ruins of Lore
You'll stumble upon ruins on your way. Who build them ? And where are their inhabitants ? Those massive corridors made of large stone blocks or mined directly seem quite ancient. What lies behind the massive doors and what are those stelaes scatered randomly inside ?
When walking in those underground passages, that's probably most of the question you will ask yourself. But stay on your guard, who know wich danger lurks in the shadows, waiting for some prey ? Maybe this ancient civilisation vanished for a reason that still wander silently in the ruins. Who knows ?
Lantern Toads
Lantern toads are quite strange creatures, maybe the weirdest you will meet on your journey. Emitting bright light from their bulbous appendage, you should avoid direct contact with them, even if they aren't hostile, lantern toads can hurt you. Wandering randomly near the shores or in the damp caves, their light betray their presence. Quite gluttonous, lantern toads eat fireflies, their favorite meal. When they see those, the follow them indefinetly, until they can take a bite. While not a danger per see, they can be quite cumbersome in small corridors.
Creatures: The Rat
Those small rodents are everywhere. Hidden in the smallest caves, behind rocks or under mushrooms; they are an easy find. Once possessed, they'll allow you to go through smaller spaces and continue your journey.
Don't worry, our rats are friendly, they don't bite or scratch! During your exploration of the tunnels, you may find yourself hunted. Feeling something lurking in the shadows, in the corners of corridors.
The nightrunners are their main predators of our little rodents, and they want a taste of them. Your best bet would be to flee rapidly in another hole, or hide yourself if you can!
Our Start: The Caverns
Long dark tunnels stretching below the surface. Most of them are inhabited by creatures. Some friendly, other not so much.Inside the caves you will probably find ruins, lightshrooms and darkness. Your journey will lead you through obstacles, doors and puzzles. If you end stuck somewhere, using possession on the friendly fauna can lead you to new areas. Don't worry, even lost, you can easily find your way back on your own.
Possess to Progress
Caves are populated with different kind of creatures, some with strenghts and others with weaknesses. Surviving through those environnement allowed them to develop features, like flying, or swimming. With this, you will be able to overcome obstacles on your way. Through possession, you will be able to control and use those features to go deeper in the caves.
Before possessing, the player will have to play a minigame, to fill the possession bar in a short lapse of time.
Finding a subterreanean lake? Catch an Axolot. Stuck at deep chasm or tall underground cliffs? Possess the nearby birds. Each creature has it's own features, giving you nearly no limits, be it the air, the floor, or water.
Doors and Puzzles
Some caves are blocked by massives doors. And doors need keys.
With the help of your abilities, notably the possession one, you'll be able to find strange cubes. That's the keystones you're looking after! Sometimes really well hidden in the darkest parts of the many underground chambers, or in plain sight in inaccessible parts, you'll need your abilities to get them.
Those puzzles make you use the different strengths of each creature in their environment, allowing you to progress further.
A Specter on the Water
You woke up in a cavern, deep under the overworld. You don't know who, nor where you are. The only thing you know for sure, you died. How did you passed away? You don't know either. As a specter, you can walk freely, even dash in those deep caves.
Now with your ghostly abilities, you can go faster and farther than before, in a blink. Allowing you to cross streams, small chasms etc.
But one danger remains.
Direct sunlight, or bright lights can arm, or kill you if you stay enough in direct contact. But something changed in you, you can now control, possess, the living.
Those small creatures will give you a chance to leave those caves, and maybe discover what caused your death?
