Arizona Derby

Hotfix & Logo Change

A small update that fixes hovering texts in menus and their content.
Some additional optimizations, minor bug fixes, and polishing along to set game experience on the highest level, along the way.

Along with those technical changes, there is a crucial marketing change that connects AD1 to the AD2 game, by changing the logo from old (a little boring and slow :)

to the new:

Bringing out the competitive focus of the game and its wicked style.

It connects AD1 to the AD2 game since the current game has not Arizona's track (no matter it's created over 5 different and large tracks, they were not perfect and opted from AD).

Since this new logo is the logo of freshly created new tracks in AD2, you can see more details in upcoming 'Arizona Derby 2' page

Official Announcement of the "Arizona Derby 2" Game

Dear Players,

After the great success of the 'Arizona Derby' game, where tens of thousands of players become part of the AD Republic, we're happy to announce to you that Arizona Derby 2 is just set to happen!

AD2 will shake the gaming world, move the standards to unimaginable levels, and hooked you up to the most intense actions ever.

It will have far more tracks than even the current game, which has 32 different tracks, they'll be very interesting, dynamic, set all across the globe. It is expected to have even 50 different tracks on huge open-world setups.

AD2 will have super-realistic and most intense visual and sound FX, bringing the overall atmosphere to the point of boiling!

Action-packed scenes, insane jumps action through the hills and cliffs will be a step ahead of anything that you see in racing ever. One thing is sure, after AD2, the world, as you know it, will not be the same place.

There will be new eight amazing bosses, that came on the top of the well-known gangs, that you have to challenge and conquer, in order to become the #1 Offroad Player.

Story play will be even more exciting than the current one, with top-of-the-class cinematic videos and state-of-the-art graphics, utilizing our team's great talent in making videos games from mid 80's and strong passion for racing games, and experience working on over 50 racing titles through years.

No car racing game will have similar fun-packed effects and atmosphere, and it'll be still a step ahead of other racing games, in terms of the most superb graphical features of the tracks, and best car shaders yet with many unique colors, never seen at other games.

And I simply can underline this, since it's fact. Just check the beauty of these shades, it's uncomparable still with any other racing games. Just we don't have huge marketing and the world doesn't know for AD, but that will change. And no matter that, we have the biggest heart ever in the racings, we prove it and will continue to move the limits to higher levels! Like Coldplay lol

You may wonder how all this happens? That one-man-pack, namely me, after making "Arizona Derby 1" get even further and start making a game that's bigger than something that teams of 50 people can do?

After your great feedbacks through the last 2.5 years, from the early Alpha version of AD, and even years before that, after we win the #1 Greenlight position in 2017, a lot of things were being learned through great communications with you, fixed, polished like in no games before, optimized to run on even wash machine, lol. Many features has set standards, to the very extreme, from a cool graphics:

to supreme, fully dynamic, and adaptable UI like:

You can see here how it progressed: https://steamcommunity.com/app/661290/allnews/

The game has about 70 updates with an average of 20-30 issues resolved per one update and many new features added that you wanted, to have this current state-of-the-art offroad gameplay.

Actually, everything of your feedback is being listened to and fixed and improved or extended with new features.

Tons of new, unique equipment will come to the game, making it the utmost experience.

Physics, shaders, AI, optimizations, smoothest and most action-packed gameplay ever, will now be set on the next levels, and no racing games will be able to bring such levels of quality and supreme gameplay.

"Arizona Derby 2" will feature Outlaw Mode with the most unique Cop customization ever.

There will be tens of police cars that can be tuned, equipped with the different sorts of bull bars, blinkers, which will help you to chase outlaws, and of course, in opposite mode, you'll upgrade your tuned Outlaw car to run faster from police.

Soon, millions of players will know and join AD Racing Nation worldwide.

It happened because of you, and thanks to everyone who played and gave their great feedbacks through this time!

Will post in the future landing page of the new game.

Stay tuned brothers, we love you 👊!

Top the AD Leaderboards!

Hello AD Players,

Please post in the comments of this announcement how many tracks you have unlocked and played in the game.

To start, here is a short update from one of the best players in the AD game, XxZ3R0xX, if not the best, because he's topping the leaderboards with records times, that's hardly reachable, but as he proves it, not impossible.

There are, of course, many of the other great players, who top the leaderboards through the years, namely:

LUNATEK, NITEVISION, MARTENS78, FLASHBAC85, TOYSPACE, CODEX, VRM, CHAVOGHETTA2525, YELLOBEARD, KONSTANTINOWITSCH, OXOTHUK-3A-HACKAMU, JOHN, PAOLO FOUREL, UKNOWN NOMAD, NOWISTOK, VISEGAMING1998, NERDERUDITO, SMASTERMAN, LOCOMOTION 22, TIKLYT, MR. INCREDIBLE, DIRTY PLAYER, THE VEZ, CROUTONOFDOOM, DANKK, HANG9, BOX111, KTM EXC UK, DUH321, INDIGOJINX, NATE S. CRAY, ANTONIO PFAHL, DRYMINATOR, LEONSKI GOLDBERG, JANYS89.CZ, REVENGEFROMMARS, RHDARKKNIGHT, VALKO, LOWOMKIVA, BBARNE297, CREO318, GTCLUB1377, and this guy doing really ultimate also!

There are also thousands of others not mentioned (sorry!!!) or not in the lists since all of 32 leaderboards showing just the top 50 wins and player best win at the track! (So just imagine how fulfilled will be Redwood Rush after XxZ3R0xX devastation 🤣 with almost 900 wins).

So overall, there's not like 2,000 wins on just one race, because all of that great players played like on average at least 50-100 times and just their top result's there, so it approx like over 50,000 to even 100,000 winning submissions are done during all this time, so really congrats for such huge loving of AD offroads!

And XxZ3R0xX stats are:

winning almost 900 tracks just at Redwood's tracks:

Forest Ride 238 wins
Redwood Rush 889 wins
Canada Trophy 143 wins
Tropical storm 91 wins
Siberia Run 96 wins
Dubai Drive 19 wins

So it's pretty impressive, I know that other top leaders having different preferences, playing other tracks.

And total leaderboards on over 30 tracks are being fulfilled with more winnings through summer, after the previous update. Currently, just first Forest Ride tracks have reached almost 2,000 winnings:

All this is a great achievement for the AD Nation, more than 2 years after the game is being published.

Dozens of the players are hooked on this game, which is amazing and inspiring for generations to come! :)

AD Leaderboards are ultimately waiting for many of you to put your names in the off-road history.

Please post in the comments how many tracks you have won, that will be amazing to see.

Hot Fix: Rear Mirror and Checkpoint Arrow Update

Hi,

This is an update that enabling a rear mirror, which will help you noticing opponents coming from backs.
This is an addon to the previous update of opponents' arrows, which help you noticing them faster.

The second part of the update is what many players asked in a way to see and orient to the next checkpoint. So it's been added blue Checkpoint Arrow, which will show you the right direction to go.

This is how the final mirror and checkpoint arrows look like in gameplay:

Arizona Derby: Offroad Wars Update

Dear Drivers,

This patch brings so much anticipated damages to the game and will change how you know and play racing games forever. Get ready for the stunning off-roads sessions.

[previewyoutube="k3PeI6EhKP4;full"]
What does this mean to you? It's a hell of fun, you will not only need to race, clear checkpoints along the line, doing stunts, but you should evade other racers, or playing dirty, take them down, get even higher scores based on the values of their cars.

When your car is damaged, take some repair tools in hand, get out of the car to fix it.
[previewyoutube="u6U_erqnaeA;full"]
Slow-mo of ADriver (avatar out of the car) is even lower 20% so it will take you just part of a second out of the fast action, to do this quick repair (same for looting in-air drops, you'll not waste too much from the race, even if you want to break top leaderboards, since you'll be rewarded with 5 additional seconds to speed up, after successful loot). What takes in race minutes, h

In the above video, you can also see how new dynamic RPM, gear, speed, nitro, hp gauges look like.
It's also added HUD items for Entering Car/Fixing car/HP bars etc.

Among other new features, in this version was a list of like 100-points changes/updates/improvements, mainly connected to the complex damage system, but also a lot of fine-tuning, whole new HUD, removing texts but leaving only icons of in-game-scorings (in-air-score, crash score, fast crash, nitro boosters etc.), and balancing many things, scores, XP, AD$, achieved during the game.

Among all of them, a new highly dynamic RPM Gauge system, which will inform you along your offroad pursues:

Also following some players feedbacks, leaderboard fonts updated, so some special characters should be seen:

Also currently it's 1462 wins submitted on the first of 32 tracks.

One of the new features is an arrow from behind which will warn you if any racers go into your way and its specific at AD, since it will show the right angle at which will be coming, so you can adapt your driving strategies in real-time to evade them.

Total number of crashed cars will be stored over time and you will get this increase on main menu player information:

Later on, to be introduced achievements for crashed cars like 50, 100, 200... even 1,000 knowing that some folks played and get over thousands of wins, this can easily happen to be topped over 10,000.
Also, separate leaderboards may come for it.

Don't forget to turn on the 'Wild-Ride' Mode, which is set to off by default (will be set from start of the next race) in order to enjoy cinematics actions.

Enjoys the Offroad Wars!
AD Team

Gravity Update

Hey Drivers,

Following two years of updates from numerous players, besides talking with top game performers, there is the conclusion to increase the gravity for 20%, and it will results in:

- Less jumps over smaller hills, which will enable you to race more on the ground and get better times
- much stable controls
- less side jumps
- more of controls during jumps
- less in-air-time, which means more controls over rig, during heavy stunts over hills
- less moon-land-physics
- no-fly physics
- less 2-wheely physics

Also:
- car will be more downed to the ground
- suspensions becomes stiffer
- overall you feel more stable during off-road maneuvers

Let compare what's better in terms of performances, joy, race times, and let me know if you like this update, also if you think that gravity can be even higher, or like little lower.

Cheers up!

ADriver Looting Update - No Time Count While Looting, Wild-Ride Tuning and More

Hello ADrivers,

Loot Season is on the way!

1. ADriver Looting Update - No Time Count While Looting In ADriver Mode

The new change is that if you were going into ADriver (racer avatar) Mode, time would not be counting. If you successfully loot (only that), you will get even 5 extra seconds (so no one can't cheat and press ADriver and smooth out time, and you will have with those 5 extra seconds chance to speed up and also hit the leaderboards with score without any looting delays.

Also, what's important some of the tiers will enable you, based on your luck and chosen tiers, to get much more AD$ and XP than before, so you can buy more upgrades, customizations, or fancy cars.

Time will count only for your allowed time to be out in ADriver.

And looting in-air-drops can bring you tons of rewards, many AD$, nitro improvements, and many upgrades.

Here's instructions and freshly updated Reward tiers that brings you more XP and AD$, if you lucky:

If not, you will still have a chance to win some useful or solace prizes so that you can have more of ADrones or ADrivers, or you will fill up your nitro and boost out the off-roads!

This is done to have more fun in ADriver mode without feeling guilty about the time score, lol. But actually really to have a chance to enjoy the loot & nailing out the leaderboards.

2. Some Wild-Ride mode tunes:

- if the player thrown from the drone, no cinematics
- when ADriver Mode expires and cars back to the checkpoint - no cinematics
- when the player reset cars to the previous checkpoint - no cinematics

Overall, Wild-Ride gets more balanced so that it will blend smoothly into gameplay.

3. Delivery Cinematics fixed

Lady gets through the tropic bar, when dance, now it is fixed.

4. Pause Menu gets new look and extensions

New features were always added to the pause menu, so it's redesigned and extended and more features, like info on Looting Tiers, are added:

5. ADJ's Soundtrack bar with text enlarged

This is done, following feedback from players, so sound names of over 130 soundtracks that AD have, can be more visible:

Note: This and other HUD elements can be opted out in the Settings.

Offtopic

This is an overview of more modes that can be introduced into current gameplay on 32 tracks, so with current normal campaign racings, there can be 1000s of more cool challenges (don't forget all 32-night racing tracks):

Stay assured, as, with everything here so far, I work hard on them! just for you! :)

OUTLAW MODE

BTW Fresh new game mode is in work and to be introduced by a great idea and the updates of #1 AD Player, XxZ3R0xX:

That's all folks for today, and I hope everyone will find delight in the offroad.

'Wild-Ride' Mode, Braking Sounds Improved, Rain VFS Polished, All blur removed

Hello Racers,

More cool stuff to improve gameplay:

Wild-Ride Mode

-its Slow Motion actions have been added in the game, so you can check them on and have cool cinematics while jumping:

Anytime, you can uncheck them.

Here you can see slow-mo and camera cinematics actions with Wild-Ride Mode turned on:
[previewyoutube="5ztpJRupygg;full"]

Polished braking sounds at off-road terrains

Braking sounds wasn't working pretty well, so it's been polished, both hand brake and normal brake now works much cooler:

[previewyoutube="A12gOsfCQU8;full"]

Also, a very important thing is that no more too much of raindrops VFX

overlay for the mud/dirt effects (wet puddles actually on roads) since too much rain VFX impacting gameplay, it's cool to have it from time to time when crosses waters and that's it (in the previous video, it's with many raindrops, you can see how unclear screen is, as of many spots of rain, so that's now fixed).

So this is now balanced and you can enjoy the clear picture since some of the levels with a lot of mud/dirt were ruined as like 50% was rain VFX over the screen.

No more Motion Blur effects

No matter I polished it into smooth actions they are definitely doing too much damage to the game, since they making too many visual distractions, so I turned them off and you can enjoy a smooth ride.

I concluded this, as I saw that many of the recent racers don't have these effects like before decades.

Too many VFX can create contra-productive effects. This is also a follow-up on some previous feedbacks, even some of them lasting from game publishing (before I put option to turn off Blur), so hope you'll play and enjoy the cooler game.

Storing Show/Hide In Game Options of Player Names & Checkpoints

This is a small patch that address some of the players feedbacks, so he can enjoy his settings, instead to reapply them:

  • Saving show hide player names and checkpoints

  • Increasing the texts of the message pop-up from bosses that appears in right corners during game, so it's more visible (this can be hidden in Pause Menu/Settings)
