Announcement for Hot-fix 0.91.4e-3h: Sounds FX & New Sound Tracks

Debugging missing car engine sounds and overall sounds FX tunings



Engine sounds FX of the cars in "Arizona Derby" using licensed FMOD Studio, used by top AAA racing games. Sounds were custom-designed for over 80 cars, for every one of the gears and idle sounds, all sampled manually and set out to the perfections over time, so it giving the game a great hype and atmosphere, but in last few builds I just confirming saw its missing and I debug it. In Editor all is good just something messed out with build, so testing over endless builds today to fix this issue since sounds is like 30% of overall excitement (one guy said me today it's like real F1 cars).

Working on this to debug and update patch as soon as possible, then I will roll back previous patch (which made shallow waters at some Tropical Storm tracks, also I will look and test more around deep waters at the other levels, so this water depth will less impact smooth gameplay, some player find many creative ways to go over them, congrats!).



Overall Sound FX tunings



Due to fact that Arizona Derby has thousand of the sounds, aside of FMOD custom sounds, and due to huge scope and content of the game, sounds FX levels tunings will be done over the upcoming period.

All players have the possibility to Pause game (ESC/Back button on the controller) and to set Sound FX, Music level and Voiceover level in-game and this will be stored. Also in Main Menu, there is a similar possibility in the Options menu.

Some of the sound FX levels still will be tuned, some are already (like jet sounds that ripping skies and many others).




New Sound Tracks



And regarding current Soundtrack, it's made with the game, it has the soul of the game in it, every word is custom-tailored and produced over years with Texas rap artist TxMic, for which we're eternally grateful:

However, someone does not like hip-hop beats (and we fully respect this just we don't have the time as of huge overall content), but we have in mind that and soon will do.

So these things are in preparation and soon to be updated, currently in-game is 12 hip-hop tracks and one remix when we finish all for a new bunch of sounds, we will do the patch, so there would be like 10-20 more sounds of all different and exciting genres, which will bring diversity to the game and boil racing atmosphere.

And again, if some of you guys don't love hip-hop just please go to the Settings in the Pause menu and turn them off (or lower down).

Release notes 0.91.4e/1: Tropical Storm tracks polishing, Players Leveling

In order to enable smoother gameplay experience on Tropical Storm tracks, some deeper waters and shores are shallowed and made easier to play over them.



Howdy ADrivers!


  • Due to players feedback and fact that some players already reach over 300 wins, number of Player Levels are increased to 100, which is now maximum level (previously was 50)

  • Adding looted Nitro from the Dropboxes increasing current nitro, not depleting it (like before)

  • Fixing Sunray Lane and Sunbury Path tracks from Tropical Storm, had deep waters that preventing in some cases players to reach higher positions, so this waters was shallowed and it's much easier to go over it (previously strategies from players including moving out to the Adrone and different tries, up to 20) to unlock this level, sorry for this issue, it was too challenging, so setting shallow waters there. Also, some hills and waters on other Tropical Storm's levels, which looks little artificial was smoothed to looks better (and be easier to drive over it)

  • 300 Win achievements not unlocking issue is resolved (will work proactively)

  • Also fix for the player Flashbac85 issues, that he found a hole in the Siberian track Rugged Way and felt down:

    This was very detailed tested and rechecked and seems that it's not a level design issue, but some rare conditions when ADriver player was spawned little bellow terrain and it's falling down which can occur once in the million times.

    Anyways, the formula for calculating traces and collisions with grounds was reassured to isolate such possibilities in this update, and thank you Flashbac85 for updating me for it.



    From the rest of the features, I continuing to testing and fixing issues that were collected from many feedbacks and thanks to you for the off-road passion you find in this game. We will together make it amazing.

    And lot more cool updates to be addressed sooner in new patches, including some amazing new content and features that would be announced.

As some of players mentioned me, this will be cool to be populated with Aztec artworks, since reminding of Indiana Johnes movies. We will see maybe in future we put more activities for ADriver, when player is outside the car, so he can explore and do actions aside the collecting Dropboxes. Big idea is to give the ammunition and weapons to the player in an Multiplayer (possible future big update) and plenty of players will race and fight to survive. Currently the game is peaceful, but we will see how things coming along. ːsteamsaltyː

Patch 0.91.4e - New achievements, 100tracks fix and XP pickup crate fix

This patch consists of the new achievements for winning on the 200, 300, 500 and 1,000 tracks, as well the fix of the 100 tracks won achievement and fix for the XP crate pickup when in ADriver Mode



Hello off-roaders,

New achievements are added and ready to unlock, also anyone who already played 100 tracks or more, will have unlocked this achievement retrospectively.



Thanks to Flashbac85 and Martens78 for this and congrats for already having over 100 (even 163) victories.

XP Saving assurance

We patching the game with more updates that will improve your gaming experience, optimizations and which address most of the player's feedback upon release, together with a few other tunings in order to have perfect racing experience






Howdy Offroaders,

Hot-fixes for "Arizona Derby" addressed by this patch are following:

- Fixed night mode reset. When player back from night race it will automatically start day mode, (before night mode repeatedly continues).
- Introduced 31 Achievements (to be retroactively unlocked after first race)
- Intro Movies optimized from over 11GB to 500MB, having the same quality
- Resolution Scale fixed, which should enable better FPS
- Loading screen rescaled to fit and changed to match game branding logo
- Audio settings fixed, when changing music or voice level, before FX of the game (including car sounds) was muted (this patch prevent it)
- Audio levels settings stored and loaded when the game starts again
- Soundtrack DLC files were set in a separate subfolder in Arizona Derby root directory
- Number of races won with its positions (gold, silver, bronze medal) proactively displayed for each level
- Jet appearing sound level decreased
- Fixed 'invisible tree' obstacles (LOD setting) at some lower resolutions in the second track of the Redwood Rush level
- Upgrades values for all 87 cars are balanced (lowered), so the player can easier upgrade their rigs
- Buying spoiler camera sequence is now skippable

Hotfix 0.91.4c:
- Stylish update: spoiler colors to match car chosen materials (before was plain white material)

- Year of "Arizona Derby" flags changed from 2018 to 2019
- Hotfix at skippable spoiler scene has an issue of 'double' menu reappearing

Since we finished in the previous period many features, based on plenty of feedbacks from about 2,000 early-testers, we plan to do a Full release of the "Arizona Derby" after 4 years in development



Hello Off-roaders!

This previous four years has been exciting, especially with support from over 2,000 testers and streamers, in order to polish the game before its official launching.



And we want to thanks to all of you guys for providing us amazing feedbacks and also for having tons of fun with the game and sharing that on the social media.

We have been extending game content and its quality from the time we won top #1 position at Greenlight from about 2,000 other games in that period, and we hold it to the very latest hour of Greenlight retirement.



From the game that has, back in 2017, very few cars and 2 tracks, we worked our way, since we highly passionate about new racing game with fresh and exciting content over decade (we are a team of 2) to extend quality and features, and nowadays we can present 87 fully polished and customizable cars, along with state of the art physics and game features.

Also, "Arizona Derby" has today 30 tracks (all with reverse, day and fog modes) with cutting edge graphics and one bonus track (Dubai Desert), and all tracks have a day, night and fog varieties. The game has its official soundtrack, 6 actors who acting level Bosses. We improved Ai racers to be highly skilled for the harshest terrains and to act like real-life opponents. Also, they're very complex progress logics, new game modes (third-person ADriver, ADrone mode, etc.), brought alive plenty of polishings, making visual and functional quality improvements of the final cars, dirt, decals. We made a large number of new controls for all the things in the physics, suspensions, wheels, in-air controls, dumpers, accelerations, heights, many levels of the controls of tens of other aspects in overall realistic car behavior, revising of the physics from scratch a few times and testing it endless times in specific off-road environments, in order to bring ultimate off-road realism, etc.

Release notes 0.90.1d - Fine tuning final feedback's from pre-alpha testers: Progress logic's, HUD, game mechanics, improving more tracks, ADJ's stations

Near game publishing, "Arizona Derby" team, gets into final polishes and do final addressing of early-alpha testers features.





We address tens of askings, just re-mapping of the keys will be done later on, because of the need for structural updates in code.


- The second part of the flying path (after dropping Air Supply) assured to be above the grounds;
- Nitro values from loot tweaked for balanced diversity;
- HUD for Looting to be displayed less long;
- Three Siberia tracks visually improved;
- One Forest Ride track improved with lakes;
- Balancing scoring values to the different skills of AI opponents (0=easy, 1=normal, 2=hard, 3=insane); higher XP is earned playing on harder levels;
- Skippable Intro Cinematics;
- Adding more in-game scoring options and re-arranging it's HUD;
- HUD scoring improvements;
- Final scoring improvements and a lot of detailed scoring separately presented so the player can see details of their score and what's impacting most;
- Mute cars sound while in pause menu;
- Fixed issue when pressing next song in the soundtrack, after the song is played before was not next song in cue;
- ADJ's station - media player showing songs/titles of current song in the left corner;
- Counting on start is changed from 3,2,1 to "Ready, Steady, Go!"
Fog and Night mode implemented, with night modes, there will be 60 different variety of the tracks, while fog will bring extra realism and challenging's (it will be, from lighter to harder, barely visible, fog).
- Progress logic's all complex with slideshows of the tracks for every level, videos, and boss/gangs descriptions

Release notes 0.90.1c - Jets & Supply System and Loot logic's Refinement

This update was focused on refining Jet and Supply system, extending looting logics and preparing for final setups of AirSupply





- Navigate Supply Jet fighter to not touching the ground, on a variety of the locations of the extreme difference in height;

- Polishing picking animations (player is unable to move while looting);

- Extend time out of the cars, since Jets will dropping AirSupplies all around and is needed more time to pick up and back to the car (you should drive a bit to location) and catch back race (since of slowed time); also more time is needed since you should devote some time to loot boxes;

- Make a variety of loot boxes and parachutes (5);

- Put heist models, money packs, gold bars, sports bags with looted money, safes; and preparing Looting system (to be extended all over in future period with tons of customizations, add-ons, this is beginning for the EA);

- Finalizing scoring and looting system rewards: AD$, XP, nitro-boosts, etc.
