Hotfix 0.92.2a: Over 80 Engine Sounds Coming to You and Some Small Fixes

Howdy Racers,

This patch finally bringing tuned racings sounds, they are all different and roaring like real hypercars and formula's, so real V12 or V8 sounds will enrich your AD experience.

There was an issue before in the build (racing sounds are created like 1.5 years ago), just build do not have it. AD using licensed FMOD sound engine, which is leading for providing ultimate sounds experience in the gaming industry, check title (not only big racing titles use it): https://www.fmod.com/games

So this, way we bring more hype to the game, and increasing atmosphere, which was imagined to be from starts, so hope you will enjoy it now fully.

2) The second thing that is fixed is final racing times, as of cinematic's it was not the same as in real counter on the finish, so this patch will assure that racing time is always the same.
Anyways it was never counted or impacted the score, but in future updates, we will roll out leaderboards and many other things which will be utilizing racing time.

3a) Empty player pedestal at the finish, was exception handled and now not existing, it was very boring, so guess some negative reviews were due to that. Sorry to anyone who experienced it.

3) Additional optimizations of the indirect shadows on some maps giving avg.7% increase in performances

4) Due to some players feedback's, the text above AI cars opponents was increased, so its readability should be improved (please download pic if you wants to see full proportions):

5) The final standing table (show/hidden) parameter stays hidden for further racings if you use it. Now the table is by default shown every time and you can hide it (in order to check the full camera, car, ADriver around the car etc.)

See you at the off-roads,
M1KE

Release Notes 0.92.1b: Plenty of Visual and Functional Improvements

Hello Riders all over 'Arizona Derby' Worlds!

'Arizona Derby' opening its gates to the limitless universe full of fun and joy, and welcome all of you, to do your best at stunting, racing, tricking, winning, and all kinds of great stuff all over wild off-roads. You will get more score for even the smallest shown trick, which means unlocking and owning more in your collection from a huge range of what AD has to offers.

More things coming all the time, thanks to your feedback, most important extreme optimizations, and many many things, the final list of known 'issues' (more like polishings now) but we treat every bug at the same level, so needs to disappear into the smoothness of your AD experience.

This time, there are tweaks and improvements at:

[previewyoutube="boFtTqM4D_I;leftthumb"]Update 10/28/2019
Engine sounds are fixed and they're now included in the build so you can experience full offroad tuned content before they were missing from the build and there was made over 400 different tuned car sounds, for every speed and idle, utilizing this advanced FMOD algorithm to bring you extreme racing experience, making overall game feeling real hype.

1) Terrain side at Tropical levels, namely, deformation of the distance meshes of landscape in Tropical Storm was fixed, now distanced part of the track blending smoothly, as you progress through the level. The main issue before is not visual but on this (Tropical levels) were also functional since you expecting in front to be some part of terrain:

And after this LOD (level of details) fixes, in all levels situation forward will be clean:

So you can dynamically plan and adjust your route.

2) Audio settings in-game pause menu, in some cases, didn't store the chosen value of FX sound levels. This is reassured now and it works;

3) Next Player Levels Info didn't show the next 5 levels when you hovered with the mouse, now the logic is being reconnected and it works - so you can any time get info on the next 5 levels (from total 100). Also, it's been added needed XP for the next level unlocking, so you can track your progress:

4) Upgrade Menu featuring added 'Continue' button, so you can skip cinematics (or watch how your rigs look from the side):

5) If the player gets from the back or side cameras into ADrone or ADriver mode, on finishing being in those modes, it will be back to the car in front view (not side or back view);

So less confusing for the player to adopt.

By the way, if you not using ADrone mode to evade harsh conditions (like other driver gets into your chassis/wheels, or if you get out of the road) ADrone is perfectly recommended the fastest way to get back on a good route.

But drones are limited, you can pick them in loot maybe.

6) Collisions on big stones are back! Following an update from Martens78 (and after some very small rocks are set to no collisions to have much smoother, not suddenly 'stucky' gameplay) some collisions on very big rocks are turned back, so you aren't ghost any more to pass through them:

You need to avoid them and all little stones are still not impacting you. All over there are around 200 big stones at each level, but a lot of them are very siding objects, so you will rarely pass around them.

7) Flying objects removed from Siberia tracks, now all is perfectly fitting to the grounds.

One of the Canada track's being updated with more lights and some visual tweaks, so it looks more appealing now

8) Cleared 'sky-shader' glitch that makes strange areol in the sky of the Canada Trophy levels

Thanks to the iGame for reporting on his discussion topic about flying objects & sky shader!

Also some refreshing to the Canadian mountain's sunset:

So you can enjoy driving your offroader all around!

And you think it's enough polishings, no, they actually just started :)

9) The big visual patch was introducing HDR maps of the skies all around, so racing will never be so dramatic again

All levels, on all tracks, get its HDR tuning, which brings an extra layer of realism and intense actions.

Also, an extra layer of the optimizations of the tracks was added all over 31 tracks by optimizing skylights, in my testings, I got from 80-90 fps:

up to 100-110fps):

(open in a new window to see larger image&fps, here is an increase from 91 to 118fps)

Also, some Tropical Maps, missed skies, so it's polished:

10) Next visual improvements are introducing dynamic sky system, which means for every game, skies will be different, from plenty of fine-tuned HDR maps, as you saw above in pictures.

11) Back to the Garage and Main Menu, place where you selecting cars, been improved and now car buttons featuring polished visuals (previously they're simple green and orange), so buying cars screen looks like:

and selecting:

More cars, more fun off-roads! :)

12) There are few Redwood rush improvements on the levels, first visually, sky shaders being tuned, so now from such map:

we have more natural colors, HDR lighting, to create an intense and very realistic environment:

Also these improvements of the sky shader impact optimization at all Redwood levels, which is now pretty amazing.

From a functional viewpoint, the first Redwood track's featuring little less competitive AI's so that thing is sorted, the same thing for the Syberia Tavern Path track, so now racings at all levels are super competitive.

13) There was known glitch that Martens78 reported, spoiler sometimes has default blue material color, instead to take car color, this is replicated and fixed, so now car spoilers have perfect shader same as cars, which looks much better, not glitchy (when blue def.material appeared):

14) Spoilers now coming to all AI's racers, so you can enjoy in tuned supercars to the max, here are first-ever captured pictures:

Here is one gameplay with all tuned cars:
[previewyoutube="CdOovmMPgIc;full"]

15) Checkpoint collisions are now set just to exact marked place that ticking, so you need to go directly through the checkpoint, in order to pass it. Before there is a possibility to be checked even on some distance around, so this way, the game becomes more challenging. This was decided, after feedback from players who played AD for an extended period.

16) Finally, Looting Box fix coming to ya :)
Loot boxes from start fallen strangely, and now they're sorted and falling perfectly, no matter if is steep or plain areas, they'll never flying in air and tons of other stuff with them. Now they're naturally in the game.

If you tracked tons of previous updates, you will see it's a huge job done over time, so there was no time to address this earlier, as looting was an extra feature. But of course, looting will be extended over the upcoming period and will have more things and features.

And parachute is left at the ground, so you can notice loot from distance.

Also, looting UI text was moved in the upper area, so it is not impacting part of the game where it is car/ADriver and it's adapted to be more visible and faster to read the message.

17) All new 7 Loot-Boxes was introduced (with existing one) making overall looting very very fun now. Also, there will be extending the Looting interface to fitting more to the Daily Rewards idea (please check previous release notes), but this to come in next patches:

From a broader perspective and plans for the 'Arizona Derby', big progress was made in the previous period on extreme optimizations and this creating a good playground for more amazing stuff to comes, the game is currently 0.93 version, which means it's full capacities are still upcoming.

So switch your seatbelts on and pump the gas on the pedal and thanks for all your help and feedback.

Mike

PS. AD featuring licensed FMOD, roaring car sounds engines, and there are over 80 tuned, all totally different one from another, supercar sounds exclusively for the Arizona Derby rigs. There is some issue in the builds, so in the latest months builds, the sounds of the cars still not working. Trying to sort why they opting out in the build (and already tried today one fix which FMOD support updated me, hoping to update you with sounds), but it still not working (they works well only in my editor), so you can expect those tuned roaring sounds of the cars, which will bring atmosphere to the heating.
Here you can check what other AAA titles utilizing this nice engine: https://www.fmod.com/games and AD licensed and implement this for you to have maximum fun off-roads, so can't wait to fix that (since many of you been asking where is car sounds).

Release Notes 0.92.1b-7c: Plenty of Visual/Flow Improvements & Free AD$Boosters

Hello Arizona Champions,

Once again a new bunch of hotfixes to improve your off-road experience. This current one has focus on more improvements to the game flow and making the smoother game experience, not only in the FPS (but new polishings includes again more progress making Menu ultra-light).

There is a bunch of visual remaking to the main menu, which is your Garage, actually, home to the off-road adventures, and will have even more features in the future.

As long adding lot of extra explanation banners, over hovering at Player information, which explaining XP, AD$, tease upcoming Player levels, Ai difficulty, etc. All this makes your (and new players) AD$ experience more enriched.

So, let's get the party started:

  • More main menu improvements, optimizing some FX particle shaders and reach out 7-8% FPS increase;
  • Audio music slider fix in the game (in the previous build was larger than planned);

  • Music settings in Audio options, has instant impact on all in-menu music; there is for different menu's different music themes and tons of other menu complex variables, so now if fully refined (before Audio music change has an impact only on in-game music's);

  • Burton icon in the corner (the guy that talking in menus and describing tips for the game) was resized and moved to be in top Centre and its added explanations about

  • ADriver Menu visual improvements
  • Improved main menu and loading screen performances and optimizations

  • Polished UI/UX
  • Polished game experience: Burton voiceover tutorial and descriptions are now only one-time played and if you skip them, they will never appear (before you need to hear to fully to skip it); so this unnecessary repeating was changed and you can any time in Options reset all Tutorials;

  • Visual improvement of the Instructions scene (Tips & Tricks);

  • Redesign of the Garage, visual, and optimization improvements to the flags, replacing flags with one's that realistically windy animated and are more optimized, so gives a significant rise in FPS (3-7% depending on the rig). Also optimizing more particles to the garage, fine tunning them

  • Mark, the 'guy in yellow sandals', your supporter:

    who stayed previously next to the left fence, is now moved to the top and cheering you from above

  • Fixed SMS info widget blur screen, which stays in the game before;
  • Adopted SMS info appearance, so SMS info starts latter on (30-50 seconds from starts);

  • Adopt music level in 'Instructions' scene in Options to fit Music level, set by the player (before its always on maximum level, and due to some streamers feedback, when you choose your music level, there will be such music everywhere no matter which scene; Menu logic's was so freaky complex, so didn't have time for that to find and fix everywhere, before, so sorry guys for previous not-smooth experience on that field. Btw similar is for all known open-issues, all to be fixed as soon I get them, list of known-issues are steadily getting lower);

  • Tweaked texts for the Nitro Capacity & Nitro Power in Upgrade menu

  • Player Level text is dynamic and upon getting the mouse over them, you'll see upcoming levels (from top 100 levels)

    Also, hovering mouse over current player difficulty will give more explanations about them and how to change difficulty:

    Also, the explanation for XP and AD$ is set on hovering mouse over those values:

    Also, from a visual standpoint, the Main menu gets more upgrades, when you hovering over Play, Car, Options and other buttons, there will be a hoverable image in the right part of the screen, which visually explaining what is menu about, so will helps faster recognition and navigating through the menu's.

  • Removed blurred black background bellow Main Menu buttons, due to the feedback's from the players.

  • Removed 3 supporters that stand, sitting and cheering around the garage. They're a little boring and unoptimized, so the game gets a few more FPS after deleting them.

  • Added player Steam name under the billboard (under 'Welcome ADriver!' text).

Finally, 'More Patches, More AD$ Rewards' specially designed program to celebrate improvements of the game, so you can test and buy more cool cars and upgrade them for free. This is a reward for all you, patient, early players, which helped to bring AD to perfection.

Introducing you AD$ Package Boosters, first of all - Chance Booster:

Called like that since you have a random chance to win some okay AD$ amount.

Many thanks for the support and giving me helpfull directions and feedback, I really appreciate that.

Greetings,
Mike

PS. You can expect soon even more substantial and advanced updates :)

Hotfix 0.92.1b-65: Faster Loading of Scenes, UX polishing's, Giveaway fix

Hello Riders,

The main thing for this patch is that addressing previous AD$ giveaway, which wasn't stored before, so this patch coming with the more AD$ and for sure will be stored, also it teases aways some future content for the new Game Modes, which to be talked more in the future.

  • In order to SPEED up extremely game loading - loading widget is REMOVED - it was before shown there just for over 100 tips and instructions to the player, but tips can be accessed via Options/Good to Know menu anyways:

  • Loading of levels was amazingly fast even than before (few seconds which is nothing compared to the most racing games), and AD has seconds delay in loading in order to show that Tips screenshots and to load that screen, so without loading Transition scene now is all BLAZING fast experience, stays like 1-2 seconds on my rig, before load level;

    Also if anyone knows the renowned racing game on the market that loading levels faster then AD let me know, I think AD crushed the world record with it...All that in order to enable seamless transitions and joy in racings

  • At finish reward screen, moving out some unneeded UX in case player is not in top 3 positions;
  • Back camera key reassigned from 'B' to down keyboard arrow (left and right arrows are looked to the sides);
  • Updated instructions screen at Game pause - Control overview and at Main Menu/Options/Controls;
  • Removing next checkpoint AD logo, which stays after previous checkpoint update in back and side views;
  • The blurred screen at finish standing, which stays from previous patch removed

  • Larger opponents names when they're around the player, so they're more readable (ps. here in these 2 pics can looks smaller since resize, but actually in-game is pretty cool readable, font is increased for 2 values - and one spoiler warning - all those gangs members success in separate levels will be tracked in progress (from one of the future patches and you will fight all the time to stay at the top of the lists, with every new race - this infrastructure was already done, just to polish some save game values...AD content is incredible huge... it's for a team of 20-30 people, so trying my best to get the hype on with one man standing AD team now :)

Cheers,
Mike Off-roader

Removing all small rocks (dynamic) shadows all over levels, so it increases the FPS rate;
Removing unoptimized flags from all levels
Hot-Air balloons impacted 17% or more on overall optimizations, they are removed up to 90% all over levels (somewhere was up to 130 objects in the scene)
Redwood Rush track has some weirdly placed mesh (some dirt) all over and on top of it, it has a collision - removed - this will fix a lot of flying objects in this levels that players reported;
ALL humans aside from the start, middle, and end of tracks are deleted, FPS gain is 33% from this on some levels (somewhere is over 300 objects in the scene);
Atmospheric effects, fogs, sunsets are improved (especially over Siberian levels), so instead pink sky there is beautiful sunsets;

Menu overlay SMS tips widget is adjusted in the same fashion;
Lecturing of the current texts inside to be done soon (it's over 100 tips and all of them are done extremely fast, since of enormous AD content, so sorry for few glitches in texts here or there..), this to be more polished and more increased with more cool tips from bosses, making your AD life better;
Updates to the tips and messages from the bosses, so they come more customized;

Also, more of the pop-ups are refined, featuring blur (like in-game SMS overlay, finish table, final standing/score popup etc.), to make visuals more appealing. In the future, more of the menu's will get its visual refinements.

So to summarize overall optimizations:

  • All of 31 track's been optimized dramatically, removing of some unnecessary objects, as well and doing some other tweaks, FPS is more than triple in some tests;
  • Main Menu performance extremely increased;
  • Loading time was already recording, in comparison to other racing games, but with overriding loading scene, now direct racing scene being loaded first, which it literally takes second(s);
  • Graphical settings from start were not on ultimate but on moderate settings, and they been stored, so upon playing again and restarting the game, you will not get ultimate settings again, but your predefined and upon new patch, your stored graphical settings will be loaded;

Hi Arizonians,

Continuous efforts for the increase in performance and optimizations for lower-end rigs continues, and the latest hotfix addressing the following:

  • Listening to the feedback's of the players, Main Menu scene was dramatically optimized, shaders, lighting, overall modeling was redone last few weeks and this hotfix updating it. The result is increased FPS 30-50% (or even more, depending on overall settings);
  • Default graphical settings were before set to the maximum, now they've changed to some lower values, without antialiasing;

Update 21/9-11:32

Hotfix 0.91.5b-1 - default graphic settings, for users that run game for the first time much lower, along with large FPS improvements in the Main Menu will give smoother experience.
(update 22/9): Default graphic settings are:

Update 21/9-21:21

Hotfix 0.91.5b-2: Adding of the basic graphical settings, with default presets for low, medium, high and max settings:

and detailed graphical settings:

The menu is polished and improved with background blur, as long a few other menu's in the game, so the experience is better.
Currently, the focus is on more optimizations and polishings of the player's feedback and overall menu's to be improved like this (blur around and other visual improvements).

With saving graphic's settings will be prevented further changing of custom graphics parameters, after every running of the game, or after the patch update, which was the case before and that's why some people thought the game is unoptimized.

Happy Offroads!

All New Soundtrack Coming to the "Arizona Derby"

Many people telling me that they want more songs, more genres and excitements, some cool upbeats, blues, rock, electronic and other songs, while rushing around the wild off-roads, so AD acquired and licensed over past month 47 brand new and cool upbeats, which will heat the atmosphere to the boiling point.

Howdy Offroaders,

New patch it's on its the way to be uploaded, and here is a video which has few songs:

[previewyoutube="j71BppDldYg;full"]

Initial, 'Official Arizona Derby Rap Soundtrack' has 11 songs and one remix, and all of them lasts approximately around one minute, even some though it's all one song lol.

So, you can sit back, tune into the new songs, relax, hit the pedal and burn out the off-roads!

New 47 songs have a duration of 3 to 5 minutes, which makes around 17 times more variety of the soundtracks, so I hope all people will be able to enjoy's more beauty of the off-roads. AD will continue to add additional genres into the soundtrack based on the player's feedback.

Anyways for all who wants to tune sounds, there is an option in Pause Menu, during the game (and in Options in Main Menu):

So you can lower or raise sound FX, music level and commentator levels.

This patch will be live soon, with a fix of the car engine sound FX, which missing in some player's builds, so you can expect full excitements of the off-roads.

Happy Off-roads!
