Make Arma Not War 2025 Contest
In 2014, Bohemia Interactive hosted a modding competition called Make Arma Not War, which gave rise to what would become some of the most legendary mods in Arma 3's history. Now, over a decade later, we’re thrilled to announce the return of this iconic contest for our latest title, Arma Reforger: Make Arma Not War 2025.
This Make Arma Not War 2025 competition is our way of giving back to the dedicated modding community that does so much to continuously push the boundaries for the Arma Platform, while kickstarting the next generation of mods on the all-new Enfusion engine. With over $100,000 in prizes, including cash and other rewards, participants have the chance to compete in multiple categories to develop incredible mods for Arma Reforger. In addition, winning entries will receive promotion through Bohemia Interactive’s official channels to showcase their creativity and abilities to our global community.
To ensure participants have everything they need to utilize their creativity, Bohemia Interactive is hosting a series of Modding Boot Camps. These topic-focused workshops will:
Be led by Bohemia developers themselves, offering tips and guidance for specific areas of modding.
Cover fundamental and advanced techniques for working with the Enfusion engine.
Include technical documentation and developer Q&A sessions to address modding challenges.
Whether you’re a veteran modder or just starting out, these boot camps are designed to help you bring your ideas to life.
In collaboration with the nonprofit organization Stack Up and leading researchers, Bohemia Interactive is also using this competition to bring a special focus on the positive effects of video games on mental health. A special cash prize will be awarded to a mod that fosters positive communication and reduces toxicity in the gaming environment. This initiative is aimed at raising awareness for both veterans suffering from physical and emotional trauma and the broader global gaming community.
For complete details about the competition, including rules, submission guidelines, and categories, visit our official website at www.makearmanotwar.com.

Arma Reforger, Bohemia Interactive's latest military simulator platform built on the all-new Enfusion engine, has now been released on PlayStation 5. This long-awaited release brings the open-world, sandbox gameplay of the Arma series to the PlayStation community for the first time ever, introducing an entirely new genre to the platform.
Now available for $39.99 USD (€39.99 EUR / £39.99 GBP) on the PlayStation Store, Arma Reforger delivers an authentic Cold War era combat experience. Featuring detailed environments, improved performance, and crossplay support, enabling players on different platforms to join the same battles seamlessly.
PlayStation players can enjoy exclusive features tailored to the DualSense controller, including adaptive trigger resistance that changes with each weapon type, precise haptic feedback for heightened immersion, and motion controls that allow for precise customizability. These advanced capabilities allow you to become fully immersed in every firefight and transport players directly into the Cold War battlefields like never before.
With four distinct official game modes, Arma Reforger offers a wide range of gameplay for every type of player. From the sprawling, strategic objectives of Conflict, to the fast-paced, close-quarters play of Capture and Hold, to the covert cooperative operations of Combat Ops, and the creative, user-created scenarios of Game Master, Arma Reforger opens up a world of military simulator possibilities for both console and PC gamers alike.
While modded content won't be available upon release, we are cooperating closely with Sony to bring this feature to the PlayStation version of Arma Reforger in the future. This means players can look forward to experiencing the incredible creativity of the Arma community.
Arma Reforger version 1.2.1 brings long-awaited features from the roadmap and other improvements, quality-of-life tweaks, and more.
Suppressors
Soviet and US factions can now equip suppressors to their main assault rifles. The AK-74 and the AKS-74U can now equip the PBS-4 while the M16 and the M16 Carbine use the Mark 3 suppressor. The reduced sound of your weapon and the masked muzzle flash can significantly help to conceal your position from the enemy.
Increased Grass Render Distance
The maximum distance at which grass stops rendering has been doubled from 150 meters to 300 allowing for increased visual fidelity and more engaging combat at a distance.
Server Queue
No more repeated refreshing of the server browser! Join a queue and simply let the game connect you to the server when a space opens up.
Other Notable Improvements and Changes
Weight matters! Keep an eye on the amount of equipment and ammo in your loadout as overencumbrance now affects your speed and sprinting capabilities. Capturing enemy bases has been improved with the ability to dismantle services. When you are actively capturing, you can now take down enemy services, such as the antenna, which will prevent the enemy from spawning near you. Now, you can also change flashlight colors to prevent the enemy from detecting you at night while still being able to see close by.
In this Dev Report, we will look at some of the new features and system changes with our coming updates. We’re especially excited to show you some features that you'll soon be able to utilize in your future battles.
