Update 1.3
Get to Cover, Soldier! Incoming Fire Support!
The game-changing 1.3 update for Arma Reforger brings many new and exciting vehicles, weapons, systems, and improvements. Nowhere on the battlefield is safe anymore and everyone will need to adapt to stay in the fight!
LAV-25 and BRDM-2
Two new infantry fighting vehicles have reached Everon and Arland. The US forces have gained the LAV-25, with its powerful 25mm M242 autocannon, capable of firing high-explosive rounds and its 7.62mm M240 coaxial machine gun. Both weapons utilize powerful 7x optical sight for target acquisition at long ranges. The Soviet army and the FIA have been reinforced by the BRDM-2 combat reconnaissance vehicle. It is smaller and lighter than the already-available BTR-70 but equipped with the same firepower: a 14.5mm KPVT machine gun and a 7.62mm PKT.
Offensive Helicopters
Command the skies and the pilot seat of the gunship variants of the Mi-8 and UH-1H helicopters. With new fully adjustable collimator sights, detachable rocket pods, and various ammunition options for each gunship, you can keep the enemy forces suppressed and constantly retreating. If you're on the ground make sure to watch the skies and have your RPGs ready!
Mortars
Arma Reforger brings realistic and immersive mortars into the game! Delay enemy advances, cut off supply routes, level towns, support friendly attacking forces from kilometers away. Both the Soviet 2B14 82mm mortar launcher and its US M252 81mm counterpart change the landscape of the battlefield significantly. Coordinate with spotters near the target area for maximum effect!
Building and Tree Destruction
Solid cover is now temporary, destruction changes everything! The battlefield will never be the same after a long and intense battle with mortar barrages, helicopter rocket sorties, and vehicular combat. Buildings can be destroyed, entire forests can be cleared, sightlines can be expanded, and chokepoints can be bypassed. Learn to navigate the destructible countryside of Arland and Everon and use it to your advantage.
Elimination Scenario
A brand new singleplayer scenario makes you a US Special Forces soldier tasked with eliminating a high-ranking Soviet officer in the southern town of Régina near the Western Heights. Are you going to take him out from afar with the M21 SWS, prepare an explosive ambush for his UAZ-469, or sneak into town with a suppressed M16 and dispatch the target from up close? The choice is yours!
Expanded Vehicles
Supply runs are considerably more effective now that both the M923A1 and the URAL-4320 transport trucks now carry up to 1,500 supplies in a single load.
The UAZ-452 "Buchanka" now comes in two new variants. A transport variant - capable of carrying 7 people or 2 people and 500 supplies, and a cargo variant capable of carrying 800 supplies.
The Šárka 1203 cargo variant can also carry more supplies in this update.
Both the UH-1H and the Mi-8 helicopters now come in civilian colors.
The FIA motor pool has been expanded with the inclusion of the UAZ-452, the BTR-70, and the BRDM-2.
Overhauled Game Systems
One of the most requested features is the rank requirement system for the Ammunition Supply Depots to address often-disliked "arsenal spam." Players will now have to tangibly contribute to the platoon's efforts and rank up to be able to equip more advanced more expensive weapons and items. The Conflict game mode has also undergone some significant changes:
Players are now unable to spawn on contested bases. Previously, capture timers used to rely on the amount of compositions built on each base. In 1.3, capture time is related to the number of bases connected to the contested one via radio network. These changes are intended to make the frontlines more dynamic, and will require tactical and strategic adaptation on all sides.
Smaller Conflict game modes are being introduced to give players the option to engage in more condensed and faster-paced battles with the core mechanics of Conflict.
Adjustments to the AI soldiers have made them deadlier than ever! AI are now able to better target moving targets, so simply driving through their roadblocks hoping for the best is not a safe bet anymore. Moreover, once under fire, they seek cover more effectively, return fire aggressively, counterattack, and flank.

Make Arma Not War 2025 Contest
In 2014, Bohemia Interactive hosted a modding competition called Make Arma Not War, which gave rise to what would become some of the most legendary mods in Arma 3's history. Now, over a decade later, we’re thrilled to announce the return of this iconic contest for our latest title, Arma Reforger: Make Arma Not War 2025.
This Make Arma Not War 2025 competition is our way of giving back to the dedicated modding community that does so much to continuously push the boundaries for the Arma Platform, while kickstarting the next generation of mods on the all-new Enfusion engine. With over $100,000 in prizes, including cash and other rewards, participants have the chance to compete in multiple categories to develop incredible mods for Arma Reforger. In addition, winning entries will receive promotion through Bohemia Interactive’s official channels to showcase their creativity and abilities to our global community.
To ensure participants have everything they need to utilize their creativity, Bohemia Interactive is hosting a series of Modding Boot Camps. These topic-focused workshops will:
Be led by Bohemia developers themselves, offering tips and guidance for specific areas of modding.
Cover fundamental and advanced techniques for working with the Enfusion engine.
Include technical documentation and developer Q&A sessions to address modding challenges.
Whether you’re a veteran modder or just starting out, these boot camps are designed to help you bring your ideas to life.
In collaboration with the nonprofit organization Stack Up and leading researchers, Bohemia Interactive is also using this competition to bring a special focus on the positive effects of video games on mental health. A special cash prize will be awarded to a mod that fosters positive communication and reduces toxicity in the gaming environment. This initiative is aimed at raising awareness for both veterans suffering from physical and emotional trauma and the broader global gaming community.
For complete details about the competition, including rules, submission guidelines, and categories, visit our official website at www.makearmanotwar.com.
