Event: Ranking (Battle Coins)

Commanders!

Another trial run of the Ranking event is now available!

A server-wide ranking list is now available between April 4 (01:00 CEST) and April 9 (22:59 CEST). During this trial run, the goal is to earn as many Battle Coins as possible.

Please note:

  • The event is available until April 9, 21:59 AM CET
  • The ranking list will refresh once per day (at 6 AM CET, the first results will appear tomorrow morning)
  • All modes and vehicles count
  • Only Battle Coins earned in battle count (purchases and mission rewards do not)
  • Battle Coin boosters do count

After the end of the event, Top 3 players will be rewarded as such:

  • First place: 30.000 Battle Coins (Shadow Protocol)
  • Second place: 20.000 Battle Coins (Shadow Protocol)
  • Third place: 10.000 Battle Coins (Shadow Protocol)

It’s also important to note that this is a test run of this event type – things might go wrong and the event might end early.

We’d like to ask you for your patience and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Offer: Main Battle Tanks

Commanders!

Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:

  • ZTZ-20 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank
  • Panzer 87-140 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank
  • M-95 Degman Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank
  • Type 96B Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank
  • M1A1 Storm Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank
  • MBT-70 Tier 6 Premium Main Battle Tank

Between April 3 and April 10, 2025, the following items will be available:

ZTZ-20

The ZTZ-20 is a fictional Chinese Main Battle Tank for the 21st century. It combines western influences with some ideas taken from the T-14 Armata. You can read about its (real and fictional) history in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the ZTZ-20 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. On its own, it’s a beast of a machine and one of the most powerful vehicles in the game, featuring both a powerful gun and thick armor. It does have a special feature though – its missiles can cover a wide area with burning White Phosphorus that reduces enemy vehicle camouflage and deals damage to anyone entering the zone.

The ZTZ-20 MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.

Panzer 87-140

The Panzer 87-140 is an experimental version of Panzer 87 (Swiss Leopard 2A4), fitted with a RUAG 140mm smoothbore cannon and an armor kit called WE. It was developed in the 1980s and early 1990s to counter the next generation of Soviet MBTs, but with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the project was shelved, only to resurface around 2005-2006 but never passing the experimental stage. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Panzer 87-140 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. Much like other Leopard series MBTs, it’s a long-range fighter with an extremely powerful gun and the ability to fire with pinpoint accuracy. Even though its armor leaves much to be desired, at long range, this MBT has few equals and can be considered one of the best snipers of its class.

The Panzer 87-140 Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.

M-95 Degman

The M-95 Degman is an advanced Croatian prototype MBT, developed during the 1990s and 2000s. It is based on the previous Yugoslavian project, the Vihor MBT, which in turn has its roots in the improved T-72M series produced in former Yugoslavia. You can read more about its history in a dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the tank is relatively fast and fairly agile while carrying some potent firepower for its Tier. In fact, its owners can choose from two powerful guns:

  • 125mm 2A46 Russian-style smoothbore gun, known from many Russian MBTs
  • 120mm CTG NATO-style smoothbore gun that you know from the Challenger 1 Falcon MBT

It’s worth noting that the 120mm shells have higher penetration values and the gun can also fire Falarick ATGMs while the 125mm gun has higher damage per shot. Both guns will feature good handling as well as overall performance to offset the vehicle’s weakness, which is its mediocre armor. The Degman must rely on its mobility and firepower to survive, making it an ideal vehicle for aggressive, daring players.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Type 96B

The Type 96B MBT, as its name suggests, is an evolution of the Type 96A, featuring such elements as an upgraded fire control system and a much more powerful engine, resulting in considerably better mobility and speed. Unlike the Type 96A, however, the Type 96B is a prototype, designed for the Chinese military team to use during the annual Tank Biathlon event in Russia. In 2017, the Chinese team won the second place, being defeated only by Russia. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!

In Armored Warfare, the Type 96B is a Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. Gameplay-wise, it’s very agile and fast for its class and uses advanced ammunition, making it highly suitable for players who prefer mobility over armor protection, even though it can take a lot of punishment as well.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

M1A1 Storm

In 1985, the Abrams was upgraded with, amongst other things, the 120mm M256 smoothbore cannon. Over 5000 M1A1 tanks were produced until 1992. This tank participated in Operation Desert Storm, which forged its legendary reputation.

In Armored Warfare, the M1A1 Storm is a Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank. The M1A1 Storm look was inspired by Operation Desert Storm, including a gorgeous camouflage net model. But, more importantly, this tank is equipped with a massive frontal dozer blade, adding extra armor and ramming damage to the long list of its advantages.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

MBT-70

Germany and the United States cooperated in the 1960s and 70s to create the ultimate Main Battle Tank to replace the aging Patton tank series in service. The MBT-70 prototype tank was the U.S. result of the development program. It was exceptionally well armed with a 152mm gun, capable of firing guided missiles and equipped with cutting edge technology, but high costs and endless delays in development led to the cancellation of this project and the subsequent adoption of a more reasonable design – the Abrams.

In Armored Warfare, the MBT-70 is a Tier 6 Premium Main Battle Tank. Several features make it quite unique – it has a large caliber gun that, while slow to reload, delivers tremendous damage with each shot. It can also fire devastating guided missiles and while its mobility levels aren’t the best, it can devastate its opponents with well-timed shots, relying on its armor to keep it alive while it reloads. And last but not least, this vehicle has a hydraulic suspension available, allowing it to tilt its hull to improve its gun depression and elevation.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

We hope that you will enjoy this offer and, as usual:

See you on the battlefield!

Shadow Protocol Battle Path is now available!

Commanders!

We’re happy to announce that the Shadow Protocol Battle Path campaign has just begun.

This four-month-long campaign is returning to the format of previous Battle Paths. The Shadow Protocol Battle Path doesn’t offer a story to follow. Instead, it has two themes – mercenaries, and the past, the present and the future of warfare. Its topic can therefore be divided into three parts:

  • Mercenary history (covering the conflicts that involved mercenaries, starting from the Golden Age that were the sixties, to the 2000s)
  • Contemporary mercenary history (from the Caucasus to the Middle East)
  • Future warfare (where the focus shifts towards the Pacific theater of operations)

As usual, we’ve prepared three brand-new vehicles for you:

Additionally, other valuable prizes can be obtained by progressing in the Battle Path:

  • M1A1 AIM Tier 8 Premium MBT for reaching Level 45 (it’ll come in handy, we have a new skin for it)
  • Up to 30 Premium vehicles via the brand-new Mercenary Loot Crates (that also contain Premium commanders, but no trash prizes – just Gold)
  • Exclusive skins for mission completion
  • Epic skins, camouflages, decals, paints and many other things

You can review the prizes in the following article.

What’s New

We’ve kept the low prices you’ve been enjoying in the Seahawks Battle Path, which means that each level will only cost 4.500 Battle Coins. What we have changed, however, are the prizes. Practically every second level now offers a Battle Coin booster reward (amongst other things).

The missions have been overhauled once again. This time, each mission will be possible to complete in any Tier 4 to Tier 10 vehicle. Since missions are not mandatory to receive your dose of Battle Path boosters, we’ve ramped the difficulty up – but also the prizes:

  • Finishing each of the four chains will award you with an exclusive skin that will not be available by any other means
  • Finishing each of the first three chains will also award you with 5 Mercenary Loot Crates
  • Finishing the top chain with the most difficult missions will award you with 15 whopping Mercenary Loot Crates

You can read more in the following article.

Accessing the Battle Path

In order to join the Battle Path campaign, please enter the game and click on the Shadow Protocol icon on the upper bar. From there, you can simply purchase the Battle Path access:

  • Standard pass (access only)
  • Golden pass with access and 50.000 Battle Coins

The access can also be purchased in our Web Shop:

Update 0.290 Now Available

Commanders!

We are happy to announce that the Update 0.290 is now available!

List of Update 0.290 Changes

Shadow Protocol Battle Path

We are rolling out a new four-month-long Battle Path featuring a lot of exciting content, including the following prizes:

  • Three brand-new vehicles
  • Mercenary Loot Crates
  • Epic skins and numerous camouflages

And much more! The prizes can be explored in this article and you can read about the entire Battle Path in our dedicated article.

Please note:

  • KNIFV NLOS LPS Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer fires (in its final version) two missiles in the lock-on (“Javelin”) mode and one missile in the standard mode
  • Repair Zone now heals 30 hp/s in PvE and 15 hp/s in PvP and can be recharged by pressing the Q button in PvE
  • Borsuk was considerably buffed compared to the initial article, check it out!
  • The release version of Shadow Protocol has the same Battle Path Shop content as the previous Battle Path, additional content will be added to the shop in a future update
  • Missions currently cannot be completed on legacy “reskin” vehicles (such as T-72AV ICE)

CATTB Improvements

Yes, you’re reading correctly. CATTB is getting buffed. The core idea here is to increase its firepower and to bring its armor to the same layout as on other Abrams series tanks (which were buffed in Update 0.240).

However, as the CATTB has its active suspension ability that allows the vehicle to tilt its hull, we have decided to compensate the firepower by making the upper frontal plate a bit thinner. Instead of just a straight buff, you now also have to play with the suspension in order to cover your weakspots. You are effectively trading some protection for gun depression angle (by tilting the hull up and hiding your weakspot) and you need to decide what you need more. In return, you get a major boost in firepower. In other words:

  • Increased the armor of lower frontal plate (except for the lowest part, which was made thinner the way it is on other Abrams tanks)
  • Increased the roof armor from 100mm to 150mm
  • 140mm gun ready rack reload time improved from 14s to 9s

Vehicle Fixes and Updates

With each patch we continue (and will continue) to update vehicles based on your feedback and fix them. In this update, we have the following changes for you:

  • BM Oplot: Improved Kombat ATGM penetration from 1000mm to 1025mm
  • BM Oplot: Improved Kombat ATGM high-explosive shell damage from 150 to 275
  • BMP-1AM Basurmanin: Significantly reduced the camouflage penalty for firing the autocannon
  • Cheonma-2: Improved the gun depression of its grenade launcher
  • KTO Rosomak: Improved the acceleration of the stock engine
  • KTO Rosomak: Added a new top engine (610hp DC13)
  • KTO Rosomak: Added a new 40mm Bushmaster autocannon variant similar to the Bradley
  • KTO Rosomak: Slightly reduced the camouflage penalty for firing the autocannon
  • T-64BV Mod.2017: Improved frontal armor to T-64BV Mod.2022 level
  • T-64BV Mod.2017: Fixed the ERA appearance in Armor Inspector
  • T-72 Ural: Added two new top shells (3VBM9 APFSDS and 3VBK10 HEAT)
  • T-72 Ural: Added a new top engine (840hp V-84)
  • T-80BVM: Fixed the broken mudguard textures
  • VN20: Turret ability can now be recharged by pressing the Q button in PvE
  • XM1A3: Aces skin now correctly unlocks and installs the top hard-kill APS
  • XM1A3: Fixed the dirt appearance on the Aces skin

General Changes

After an analysis that included thorough checks of match chat logs, we have determined that the ability to talk to the enemy team in PvP matches serves no real gameplay purpose and is overwhelmingly used for insults and griefing. As a part of our fight against such behavior, we have removed the option to send messages to the enemy team from PvP matches.

Furthermore:

  • Fixed an issue with the Battle Path shop where players sometimes saw incorrect offers (this includes the “entire shop offer appears as owned already” problem)
  • Fixed the dirt system for desert environments (tanks previously looked excessively dirty)
  • Fixed the mirroring issues of several decals
  • Fixed several localization issues

Server Maintenance

On the 1st of April 2025, starting from 8:00 CEST, the server will not be available for 6 hours due to a planned server maintenance.

Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.

April Calendar

Update: Battle Coins Expiration

Commanders!

We would like to remind you that, much like during the previous Battle Path campaigns, the Battle Coins acquired during the Seahawks Battle Path will not carry over.

Please make sure you spend your remaining Battle Coins before the end of the Seahawks Battle Path (April 1, 8:00 CEST)!

Furthermore, please make sure you open any and all in-game Battle Path loot crates containing Seahawks Battle Coins. It will not be possible to use them in the next Battle Path.

We hope that you enjoyed this Battle Path campaign and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Event: Ranking (PvE, Damage, SPG)

Commanders!

Another trial run of the Ranking event is now available!

A server-wide ranking list is now available between March 28 (01:00 CET) and April 1 (21:59 CET). During this trial run, the goal is to deal as much damage as possible using Self-Propelled Guns in the PvE (Hard) mode (that is, Tiers 4 to 10).

Please note:

  • The event is available until April 1, 21:59 AM CET
  • The ranking list will refresh once per day (at 6 AM CET, the first results will appear tomorrow morning)
  • Only Tier 4-10 SPGs count
  • Only regular PvE (Hard) mode counts (not Special Operations)

After the end of the event, Top 3 players will be rewarded as such:

  • First place: 30.000 Battle Coins
  • Second place: 20.000 Battle Coins
  • Third place: 10.000 Battle Coins

It’s also important to note that this is a test run of this event type – things might go wrong and the event might end early.

We’d like to ask you for your patience and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Scavenger Run is here!

Commanders!

Starting on March 27, you’ll be able to earn a major bonus to your next Gold purchase (even a truly massive one, like 80 percent) by participating in the Scavenger Run event.

In other words, in case you win such a bonus and buy 1.000 Gold, you’ll receive 1.800 Gold instead. And that can make one hell of a difference (please note, however, that the maximum amount of bonus Gold obtainable this way is 10.000 Gold).

Scavenger Run is, in its core, a very simple event. There are many ruined and abandoned objects across the world of Armored Warfare and your friendly neighborhood arms dealer ran across one of them.

You are now being hired to scout it out. On a small map, you choose one of three bases and then scout its three warehouses by clicking on them. Depending on your finds (determined randomly), you will receive a sizeable bonus to your next Gold purchase.

This event will be active for several days (the counter in Garage will always tell you how much time is left), so if you’re planning to stock on Gold for the next Battle Path or simply want to boost your progress right now, it’s the perfect opportunity to do so.

We hope that you’ll enjoy this new mechanic and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Offer: Tank Destroyers

Commanders!

Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:

  • TOS-1M Buratino Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • Koshmar skin for TOS-1M
  • Kornet-D1 Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • T-15 Kinzhal Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • Leclerc T40 Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • Otomatic Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • Abrams AGDS Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • Hunter Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
  • BMPT Mod.2017 Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer
  • Iron Crate

Between March 27 and April 3, 2025, the following items will be available:

TOS-1M Buratino

The TOS-1M Buratino is a prototype version of the Russian TOS-1/TOS-1A heavy rocket launcher. It was designed in 1997 at Omsk as an improvement to the old TOS-1 whose roots go back all the way to the Afghan War. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the TOS-1M Buratino is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. As befits its massive rocket launcher installed on the top of a T-90A MBT chassis, its firepower is all but unparalleled and you are looking at perhaps the most destructive vehicle of Armored Warfare. It is available in two configurations – with fast-launching 122mm rockets and the iconic 220mm rockets that can be unlocked either by installing a skin (Koshmar), or by progressing through an active Battle Path.

The TOS-1M is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.

Koshmar Bundle

Additionally, we've prepared a skin bundle with a new skin. The skin “Koshmar” we have prepared for you is for the TOS-1M Tier 10 Premium TD. Not only is it cool looking, it also unlocks the overprogression modules for you, including the 220mm turret and the 220mm thermobaric rockets. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

The skin is available as a part of the Koshmar Bundle, which contains the following items:

  • Skin: TOS-1M Koshmar
  • 3 Platinum Loot Crates
  • 500 Gold

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Kornet-D1

The Kornet-D1 Tank Destroyer was one of the proposed variants for the BMD-4M chassis. As a dedicated tank hunter, it was supposed to be armed with two Kornet ATGM quad launchers, providing the Russian Airborne forces with long-range tank-killing capabilities. The project was launched in 2013 but the vehicle never reached the prototype stage with the program likely being canceled in 2018. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Kornet-D1 is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer and a tracked counterpart to the wheeled Kornet-EM progression vehicle. It is only lightly armed but also very stealthy and its lack of vision range is compensated by the ability to deploy a Sniper. Additionally, when configured properly, the vehicle is capable of launching two missiles at once, making it incredibly deadly against any target, especially at long ranges.

This vehicle is available via Loot Crates, which drop Kornet-D1 parts. Collect 100 Kornet-D1 parts from these Loot Crates to assemble the whole vehicle.

T-15 Kinzhal

This vehicle is a version of the T-15 heavy IFV (built on the Armata platform) but instead of the Bumerang turret featuring 30mm autocannon, it’s armed with another combat module called Kinzhal. The Kinzhal module’s main armament is long 57mm automatic cannon that can devastate even the heaviest IFVs it could meet on the battlefield. A prototype appeared in 2019 but the concept was not approved for mass production. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the T-15 Kinzhal is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. Unlike the original progression version of the T-15, it’s a vehicle that relies heavily on its autocannon. The 57mm gun is immensely powerful and can fire in three round bursts with one of the highest damage per minute outputs in the game. In addition to its outstanding firepower, the Kinzhal is heavily armored and despite its average mobility, it’s one of the most durable and versatile vehicles in Armored Warfare.

This vehicle is available via Loot Crates, which drop T-15 Kinzhal parts. Collect 100 T-15 Kinzhal parts from these Loot Crates to assemble the whole vehicle.

Leclerc T40

Sometimes called the French Terminator, this vehicle was designed on the Leclerc MBT chassis with one purpose in mind – to accompany tanks and fight off infantry attacks the same way as the Russian BMPT series does. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Leclerc T40 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. It offers you a combination of a durable hull, rapid-fire 40mm automatic cannon and, most importantly, the Javelin missile system. Simply right-click the target, wait until it becomes locket and fire the Javelin ATGM – it will home itself on the target, attacking its weak roof armor. Thanks to this ability, the Leclerc T40 is one of the most destructive vehicles in the game.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Otomatic

The Otomatic was an attempt from the 1980s and 1990s to mate originally naval 76mm rapid-firing cannon with a tracked chassis (either of Palmaria or a Leopard) to create an advanced anti-aircraft gun. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Otomatic a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. Thanks to its fast-firing 76mm gun it can deal tremendous amounts of damage over short periods of time and can deal effectively with any target it encounters on the battlefield.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Abrams AGDS

The Abrams AGDS (Armored Ground Defense System) was a vehicle concept and proposal, drafted in July 1996 by Dr. Asher H. Sharoni (a former colonel in the Israeli Defense Forces) and Lawrence D. Bacon from a Californian company called Western Design Howden. It was supposed to be an air-defense vehicle, protecting the Abrams formations against flying threats, although its weaponry can be deployed against ground targets as well. The United States were, at the time, sorely lacking a vehicle comparable to the Russian Shilka and one of the ideas was to use the Abrams chassis paired with a new turret to produce an armored AA gun that would be able to keep up with the American tank units. This plan was never realized and the vehicle stayed only on paper but you can play the Abrams AGDS in Armored Warfare and experience what it would have been like, had it ever been deployed.

In Armored Warfare, the Abrams AGDS is a very unique Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. What makes it so special are its two large guided missile launchers capable of firing an incredibly devastating volley within seconds. The AGDS can devastate practically every opponent on the battlefield with a single salvo, making it one of the best and most effective mid-to-long range vehicles in the game. At close ranges, it can rely on excellent frontal turret protection and its two 35mm autocannons to keep enemies at bay until the missile launcher reloads to unleash another deadly swarm of missiles. The Abrams AGDS is one of the most feared vehicles in Armored Warfare!

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Hunter AFV

Another alternative name for this vehicle is NGAFV (or Next Gen AFV), since it belongs to a whole program to replace the obsolete M113 APC in Singaporean service and to operate alongside its predecessor, another indigenous Singaporean IFV called Bionix. Hunter is the name of the production model of this program. The Hunter AFV is the pinnacle of bleeding edge of technology. In this sense, it can be compared to the AS21 Redback and both vehicles share several characteristics, not the least of which being relatively large size. This bulky IFV offers considerable levels of protection and firepower. It is expected to serve in the Singaporean army in large numbers in the near future with its mass-production having recently begun. You can read more about its history in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Hunter AFV is a Tier 9 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. As its description above suggests, it is a rather standard-sized IFV with good levels of protection and excellent firepower (consisting of a 30mm autocannon and a Spike ATGM launcher). It also features a recently introduced type of armor, NERA. Simply put, NERA is an ablative armor kit that deteriorates whenever it gets hit. In other words, the vehicle starts with excellent protection levels but it will lose some with damage taken as the battle progresses. Apart from that, the vehicle is adequately mobile and quite universal. It can, of course, also deploy Mechanized Infantry.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

BMPT Mod.2017

The BMPT Mod.2017 is one specific version of the BMPT Terminator that was deployed in 2017 in Syria for extended testing along with some other Russian prototype equipment, including the SU-57 jet fighter and the Uran-9 combat robot. It consists of a modified T-90 hull with a modernized turret from BMPT-72 installed on it. Another major difference was the presence of a new type of Explosive Reactive Armor that was made of soft fabric bags with explosive filler. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the BMPT Mod. 2017 is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer and arguably the most powerful variant of the BMPT family. Like the others, it combines a tank hull with an unmanned turret, armed with two 30mm cannons as well as four missile launchers. Its thick armor and advanced ATGMs quickly made it one of the most feared vehicles of Tier 8 battlefields, a position it retains to this day.

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

Iron Crate

We’ve prepared for you an additional offer this week. The Iron Crate is available in our Web Shop!

This crate allows you to win a Tier 4 to Tier 10 Premium vehicle (or its value in Gold if you have it already). The crate contains some very rare vehicles, including:

  • ZTL-11 Tier 9 Premium TD
  • VN17 Tier 8 Premium AFV

This bundle is available in our Web Shop.

We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!
