Arms Trade Tycoon: Tanks

Hotfix - 1.1.8.4

Greetings, Arms Dealers!

The next Hotfix is ready, and this time it includes much more than just a few bug fixes. To make the game experience more enjoyable for new players, we are introducing several new features aimed at making the learning curve less steep during the first playthroughs. However, experienced players can still choose to play in the old “ironman” style.

  • Government grants are a new mechanic that has been added to the game. With this new feature, each time you approach bankruptcy, the government will step in and subsidize your company with a certain amount of money. The amount and number of subsidies are limited and depend on the selected difficulty level. Note that for any difficulty level, you can always choose the “Ironman” mode, effectively deactivating this “grant” mechanic if you want to play without any compromises or “second chances.”

  • Another new addition is a useful hint added to the tank role assistant. Now, when you select a tank role in the Assistance tool, your engineers will advise you on which tank hull they recommend as a base for your tank design. Note that there is usually more than one way to create a successful design for any given tank role, so make sure to experiment until you find your best design!

  • Following the feedback, we have revised the compatibility of alloy and assembly type. From this moment on, you are no longer limited to using contemporary alloy and assembly modifications for your structural components. Moreover, we have revisited the UI, hopefully making it easier and more user-friendly.

  • We also added multiple QoL changes that were requested or voted on by the community. These include new sorting options for the Contract Centre, the possibility to archive rival designs in Reverse Engineering, limiting tank fame to avoid fame exploits in contracts, and others

  • Finally, we are very happy to add another language to the game. Now the game can be experienced in simplified Chinese as well!

Thank you for your continued support!
FunGI Team

Additionally, we have dedicated significant time to implementing crucial quality-of-life improvements based on your continuous feedback on Steam and our Discord channel.

However, please note that due to the extensive nature of these changes, your saved game files will not be compatible with version 1.1.8.0. Although we made every effort to ensure compatibility, the sheer magnitude of the alterations proved to be too substantial. To compensate for that, you can also select the Era 3 for a start-up!
Thank you for your continued understanding and patience!

Patch V 1.1.7.0

Greetings, Arms Dealers!

The 1.1.7.0 Update is ready, and we are excited to release it to you!

As before, the patch introduces new content, several important changes to the game, and several fixes based on your feedback from Steam and Discord.

We continue to expand the world map. This time, it grew eastward to include Russia, China, and Japan. In addition to providing new battlegrounds and markets for your tanks, Russia introduces two new tanks from the Interwar Era: the T18 and T28 tanks. Inspired by the legendary Renault and Vickers designs, these tanks offer you even more options for experimentation and customization.

Additional efforts have been made to revisit country logic. Now, countries will be more eager to modernize their tank fleets with newer designs, raising their expectations for the tanks they are willing to purchase.

Significant changes have been made to the Tank Contract system. We have now introduced a Trade Office mechanic, which serves as a trade representation for your company. You must set up a Trade Office in every country where you wish to engage in tank trade. Establishing a Trade Office incurs costs, so careful planning is essential to determine where to expand your company.

Resource holdings are now part of the game. These holdings provide a stable income of a specific resource in exchange for a significant investment. As a player, you can choose to rely on external resource suppliers or reinvest your capital into resource holdings.

The Legal Centre is another addition to the game. Your lawyers are prepared to negotiate favorable conditions for tank contracts and labor unions, provided you have sufficient funds to pay for their services.

Finally, we have introduced War mechanics. With this mechanics in place, wars will span multiple military campaigns, with the possibility of allies joining the conflict. Countries will assemble even larger task forces to wage war, resulting in more intense fighting and, consequently, more frequent resupply contracts.

This patch also includes a significant amount of QoL changes, bug fixes, balancing adjustments, and text corrections. Don’t forget to check the complete patch details below or view the update notes directly in the game.

As we move forward along the roadmap, the WW2 Era update is beginning to take shape. Development is steady and in line with our plans.

We hope you enjoy this update, and as always, please don’t forget to share your thoughts and feedback with us!
