Your job is to solve the problems within the kingdom.
This is not directly related to the prevention of disaster, but if you can solve problems and avoid messing up the future, then the people involved in those problems are sure to help you out in battling said disaster by providing you with all sorts of things.
However, solving these problems will not be easy.
Your “choices” will be absolutely crucial to solving these problems.
What choice is “correct”? There is no answer to this question.
So make the choice that you feel is correct.
# The Future
Your “choices” will have a direct effect on the “future”.
Solve a problem, and the future will change.
The future will come into shape as you go on making choices as to how to solve various problems.
Taking a journey to the future is basically like taking a journey through a world you’ve created.
Also, whether it be the far future or the near future, each of your choices will change the flow of events just enough to greatly affect how said future turns out.
# In Conclusion...
It’s almost time to set off.
Don’t be afraid – embark on your journey, and change the world.
Journey freely in the little time remaining before disaster strikes.
Whatever “conclusion” may come, the future is yours to shape…

Let's get ready for the fight!
As for other persons of note...
There are about six others who wish to take an adventure to change something or save something.
I’ll tell you about them one at a time.
“Pete”, the rookie knight.
A patriot with a bright future, he’s been training since he was young.
Take him along with you, and he’ll teach you how to use halberds to inflict death blows and how to defend against enemy attacks.
“Emilia”, the castle pharmacist.
Passionate in her research into healing all sorts of illnesses and injuries, she’s crucial to soldiers with life-threatening wounds.
Take her along with you, and she’ll improve the effects of normal potions and use specially brewed potions to increase your natural fighting abilities.
“Glen”, the war dog.
Glen is a dog employed at the castle as an experiment.
His trainer is training him thoroughly in order to ensure his permanent employment.
Take him along with you, and he’ll help fight off fiends, provide chances for combo attacks, and help discover items and life globes during battle.
“Jack”, the ex-bandit.
Devoted to polishing his skills, he has stolen innumerable treasures without hurting anyone.
Through no fault of his own, he ended up accidentally injuring someone during one of his heists, and so due to breaking his own rule, he turned himself in to the castle.
His prison time has ended, but he still hangs out in the dungeons.
Take him along with you, and he can help discover shortcuts through the dungeons, as well as teach you how to use fine blades and evade attacks.
“Rey”, the kingdom wizard.
A researcher of non-artifact supernatural powers, he has the power of prediction, fortune-telling, and seeing the future.
Recently, he’s been acting strangely, saying he’s seen some sort of vision...
Take him along with you, and he’ll teach you special powers such as how to increase the power of life globes, activate elements, and drawing in items.
“Saturday”, the servant.
A hardworking, serious, and trustworthy servant.
With his immense strength and power, he’s perfect for hauling items and breaking stuff.
He’s basically one big chunk of muscle.
Take him along with you, and he’ll carry large amounts of items, teach you how to get stronger, and how to effectively use tools, broadaxes and such.
Facing danger head on, things will get rough and you’ll need help.
You should take maybe two of these people with you.
It’s almost time to head off on your journey, but you’re not alone.
People in the castle are sure to help you out along the way.
I mean, if you prefer, you could go off on your own.
You may be able to see something different.
As for those who would lend you a hand, inside the castle, the people most likely to help you out would be...
First off is “Rex”.
Known by many names, such as the world’s greatest adventurer, explorer, and traveler, he has been all around the world and is experienced in almost every area on the continent.
Due to his extensive travels, he’s also quite experienced with the spider nests created by fiends.
Having Rex accompany you on your journey is sure to make things much easier.
Next is the greatest knight of our kingdom, “Roland”.
The most skilled swordsman in the world, he also has the most noble spirit of any knight.
Amazingly quick with his blade, having him on your team will make dealing with fiends a cinch.
Traveling together with Roland will afford you all sorts of experiences, too.
Next is the royal who has heeded his country’s call to arms, “Hershal”.
Noble, thoughtful of the people, and extremely trustworthy, Hershal's power is not one which will help necessarily with your journey itself.
To put it bluntly, he’ll likely even hold you back.
There’s no real reason to choose Hershal, but there is one thing he has that will certainly prove useful.
That would be cash.
Blessed with the huge amount of resources Hershal possesses, you’ll have no trouble with finances on your adventure.
These three are well known throughout the kingdom.
They have wisdom, abilities, and resources like no other.
They are all extremely capable of contributing to the kingdom and your mission.
Even just one would make an excellent addition to your journey, but taking all three along with you will make it difficult to achieve each of their respective goals as well as your own.
It’s probably best to just choose one.
Next we’ll talk about using equipment to protect yourself.
Defensive equipment held together with weapons are “Shields” and “Orbs”.
Shields are used to take enemy attacks and reduce damage.
Remember that there are large and small shields.
Larger shields are better at reducing damage, while smaller ones are better at avoiding attacks.
You can choose whichever type you like.
With regard to orbs, they aren’t as good as shields at reducing damage nor avoiding attacks.
What orbs are good for is speeding up the cooldown times for reusing artifacts.
All active artifacts require time to cool down before reusing them, but using an orb reduces the time needed for reuse.
If you’re confident that you can evade fiends’ attacks, then an orb would suit you better than a shield.
Orbs will allow you to enter into battle more aggressively.
As for equipment that can be worn, there are “Helmets”, “Armor”, and “Boots”.
Each of these will increase your HP, but they have slightly differing attributes.
Armor gives you the most HP, helmets recover more HP when defeating enemies, and shoes will make you move faster during battle.
Consider your skills when deciding what kinds of equipment to buy to help you on your adventure.
Last up are “Accessories”, also known as “relics”.
These are like passive artifacts, and while their effects aren’t as strong as passive artifacts, they’re good for raising the bottom limit of your skill values.
They’re quite rare and hard to obtain but if you can get your hands on them, they’ll make you tougher.
