One Week Until As Dusk Falls Release: Tribeca, News Round Up and Launch Event
It’s been a whirlwind month! From Tribeca Festival to seeing As Dusk Falls feature in NME & Famitsu - here’s all the awesome things we got up to since we announced the release date of As Dusk Falls + some exciting launch day news!
Tribeca Festival
As Dusk Falls featured at Tribeca Festival 2022 as part of the official selection of games!
Tribeca is a celebration of storytelling in all its forms - film, TV, audio, and games, held in New York City. We are honoured to have been part of this year’s games program and showcase As Dusk Falls’ demo to festival attendees.
Release Day Announcement & Media Event in New York City
In June, we also announced the release date of As Dusk Falls (did we mention it’s coming on July 19th?!) at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase!
To celebrate, we welcomed press and creators to the Microsoft Experience Centre for a first look of As Dusk Falls and a multiplayer playthrough with INTERIOR/NIGHT’s CEO & Creative Director Caroline Marchal and Production Director Charu Desodt.
NME gave INTERIOR/NIGHT’s CEO and Creative Director Caroline Marchal the rock star treatment in this brilliant piece - part of their new Boss Level series.
Last but not least - the culmination of years of hard work - As Dusk Falls comes out in just a week! And we have something very special planned…
In Person - July 15th
Xbox and Kinda Funny will be taking over the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and turning it into the perfect venue to experience As Dusk Falls. Greg Miller, along with co-hosts SnowBikeMike and Joey Noelle, will bring the Kinda Funny flair to the show with a live We Have Cool Friends, a Kinda Funny Gamescast, and of course, gameplay.
We know not everyone will be able to make it to our LA event, but we still want to celebrate with you! Greg and Kinda Funny Games will be hosting our launch day stream, allowing chat to vote for decisions that happen in-game. Tune in to be a part of the drama that unfolds as you explore the various directions the story can take. Not long now until we welcome you to Two Rock County - As Dusk Falls is coming out in just under 3 weeks! We are overwhelmed by your support and excitement for our first title and we cannot wait for you to experience As Dusk Falls on July 19th!
About As Dusk Falls
As Dusk Falls is an original interactive drama from INTERIOR/NIGHT that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Starting in 1998 with a robbery-gone-wrong in small town Arizona, the choices you make have a powerful impact on the characters’ lives in this uncompromising story of betrayal, sacrifice and resilience. Replay the story again and again to uncover vastly different outcomes for the characters and explore hidden nuances behind every decision. Will your characters survive unscathed? What kind of people will they ultimately become?
Gameplay
As the story unfolds, As Dusk Falls presents players with choices that will decide the fate of Two Rock’s characters. Throughout the playthrough, they can make choices for the characters - what they will say or do - even the seemingly trivial decisions can have a major impact on the outcome of the story.
These decisions are shown as multiple responses which players choose using their game controller, keyboard/mouse, or even their mobile phone.
As Dusk Falls also asks you to complete specific quick actions during tense moments like pressing a specific key or button, or swiping a controller in a certain direction.
Multiplayer
In As Dusk Falls, every player has a voice and influence on how the story unfolds. Up to 8 players help drive the narrative cooperatively (or antagonistically) as they journey through the story.
Up to 4 players can play together on the same screen by connecting additional controllers, and 8 players can play on the same screen using a combination of controllers and smartphones.
Please note that each player will need their own copy of the game on Steam, Windows PC or Xbox console (including Game Pass) to enjoy online multiplayer.
