Astral Towers released on Steam for the first time
Astral Towers is a card game with "one turn - one action" mechanic - like Spectromancer. This is mostly an adventure game: there are 89 missions at 2 difficulty levels.

The original game was made in 2011, it was English-only and designed for 1366x768 screen resolution, which was OK for WinXP, but looks ugly on Vista and above. Now the remastered edition has improved graphics designed for up to 4K screen resolution.
Other changes are:

  • Improved UI and visualization.
  • Full support for Russian language.
  • Improved campaign balance based on actual stats.
  • Steam achievements.

Game Server is published open-source
The Game Server's source code is published at GitHub: https://github.com/Cooler2/ApusEngineExamples/tree/master/AH-Server

Now anyone can build an own server, add 1M gold and play alone with bots, taking 1-st place in the ranking :-)

The game engine behind Astral Heroes game is made open source and published at GitHub: https://github.com/Cooler2/ApusGameEngine

Astral Heroes and it's engine may become Open Source
All our games (including Spectromancer and Astral Masters) are based on our own game engine (actually, its just a common part of these games). Until now this engine was just an internal library, but now I'm going to publish it and make it open source. However, this requires some additional work to make it useful - documentation, examples, tests. I've launched a page on Patreon to gather some funds for this work.

As a goal bonus, I'm going to publish the source code of the Astral Heroes game (client, server and more). And everyone could see if the game is fair or not :)
