Network Fixes

Hey everyone,

We just released a new version with some more network debugging and reduced bandwidth usage. This will mainly improve the situation between allied NPC's and Nexars in the Fulzar system, where NPC's happened to get stuck between two state changes due to not ignoring invisible enemies.

We will continue to work on the rebalance and final boss for Vorsran.

New Ship: Rapture

Hello everyone,

We have just released a new ship called Rapture. It's an energy based, close range fighter with kiting capabilities. It comes with three new weapons, two are unique for its model and one can be copied. Can be found in Fulzar hangar for 4000 Flux.

Weapons

Electrocute
- Very short range.
- Extreme damage.
- Difficult to use.
- Can not be copied.

Twin Phaser
- Close range lightning weapon.
- High damage.
- Can not be copied.

Plasma Traps
- Very good for kiting.
- Slow speed.
- Homing.
- Medium damage.
- 4x projectiles.

PvP Update

Hi everyone!

We have now launched the PvP update with the following changes. We believe this will lead to more participation in PvP and more matches played.

Changes:
- Up to 500 players will receive a Flux reward.
- We have removed negative rating points.

Rewards:
1. 1000 Flux
2. 800 Flux
3. 600 Flux
4-10. 400 Flux
11-50. 300 Flux
51-100. 250 Flux
101-150. 200 Flux
151-250. 150 Flux
250-500. 100 Flux

Requirements:
You need more than 1000 rating points to qualify for any rewards.

Rating:
Reward per game: 0-50 points

Domination (dom):
Winning a match: 25 points
Base capture: 10 points
Defending a base: 10 points
No deaths: 3 points
3 killing sprees: 3 points
10 killing sprees: 3 points
Prevention of killing spree: 3 points

Death Match (dm):
First place: 30 points
Second place: 25 points
Third place: 20 points
No deaths: 10 points
3 killing sprees: 5 points
10 killing sprees: 5 points

Penalties:
Leaving the game: -50 points

Other Changes:
- Nexar bombs were missing a detonate other explosives trigger.

PvP Changes Coming!

Hi everyone!

We are going to change how PvP ladder and rewards works significantly. For a long time the PvP system has been very competitive, but less inviting for players who are not the top 10 or have godly artefacts. Participation has been key here, and since we have very few players online the elo-rating and match making didn't work as intended and was mostly annoying for those with anything but the best. The reward for playing was not near enough, so many players simply opted out from PvP matches.

We plan to release this on 1st of December, if not something unforeseen happens.

Changes:
- Up to 500 players will receive a Flux reward.

Other fixes during the past week:
- Executor now moves if target is inside its collision area. This makes it less appealing to be passive while farming Executor in a group.
- Fixed crash bug when opening cargo view.
- Fixed stuck issue in PvP.
- Improved disconnect logging, for better bug tracking.

We have added a few new timed missions aimed mostly for high level players:

Drops
We have also fine tuned the drop rates between different bosses and the rewards based on how much time you have to spend killing them on the same level as the enemy, and how farmable it is. This is of course very difficult to predict since some play in parties and some not, but I hope you will find the new drops more interesting.

Gold Crates
- Scrap Collector, a little less Steel. 5x 200-500 Steel
- Ant, about the same amount but removed 1k-2k Steel crate.
- Mandrom, added 200 crystal crate.
- Queen, added 200 plasma crate.
- Chelonidron, now drops 2x 800 Steel + 225 Iridium + 1x 1k-2k Steel
- Ossakel, 2-3x 1k-2k Steel.
- DMAT, 1k-2k Steel.
- Dr. Drak, 50% chance 3k-10k Steel + 1x 1k-2k Steel
- Spy-1, 1x 1k-2k Steel + 1x 200-600 Steel.
- Dread Queen, now drops 5x 1k-2k Steel
- Mother Brain, now drops 10x ~800 Steel + ~225 Iridium
- Fanatic Tank, now drops 1-2x 1k-2k Steel + 1-2x 3k-10k Steel, we increased the health and resistance significantly.
- Advectorian, now drops 3-4x ~5k Steel + ~600 Iridium
- The Cleaner, now drops 5-6x ~5k Steel + ~600 Iridium
- Judicator, removed excess randomness, about the same.
- Sidus, removed excess randomness, about the same.
- Bionic Queen, removed excess randomness, about the same.
- Rigus, Removed excess randomness, now drops an additional ~5k Steel + ~600 Iridium crate.

Loot and Heal Patch

Hey there,

Due to recent feedback regarding spawn-times and loot farming we have decided to increase the loot for larger enemies, this is also in line with the new mini-bosses that were introduced in the balance patch.

Balance Patch

Hi everyone!

For weeks we have been working to balance the game and finally we are ready for launching the update. Of course there are still work to be done and we know this update will not be the final one.

The weapon balance is based on a combination of user feed back and statistics. For example.. a weapon that people consider slightly OP but which is hardly used and is performing poorly in the statistics won't be nerfed. We also try to avoid nerfs that will render a weapon useless.

As for ship balance the main theme have been to give all skin a unique strong point. For example:
- Judicator -> Best shield-regen in game
- Nexar Fighter -> Fastest ship around
- Spy-1 -> Strong kinetic single damage, useless with multi type weapons
- Assassin -> High speed and stealth, but squishy
- Nexar Blade -> Very strong in-fighter, but useless at everything else

Group XP
A slight change to group XP will prevent obvious abuse, but at the same time promote and give bonus XP to groups who are even. You will gain 1% extra per party member.

Spawn Times
We introduced an initial spawn time on certain spawners and reduced reset and rebuild time to promote those who don't refresh the instance.

Resets
You will get 3 free resets in this update and there will be a new package available that contains 10 resets for half price, 1000 Flux instead of 2000 Flux.

Party XP Change

Hello everyone!

We have decided to increase XP for being in a party. Previously the XP was split among players with a slight bonus. Now the XP won't be split anymore and everyone in the party will receive full XP. This is hopefully one step towards more team play.

So if the XP is 100 for an enemy all players will receive 100 xp and a small bonus for the amount of players in the group.
