UX/Graphics Improvements

  • Added a new version of the phone world background for longer mission events (e.g. Prestige Drama social events) with less movement, to help with some player reports of eye strain or nausea
  • Changed level up popup during training to be more explicit about how training is calculated
  • Sped up number transitions in astronaut widget to make comparing astronauts easier
  • Made launch countdown take fewer clicks

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed some photographer/journalist NPCs missing arms
  • Fixed some Porpoise Bay attendants having holes

Beta 0.6.0

Bug Fixes - A Matter of Pride Mission

  • Fixed incorrect mapestry paths around third and fourth steps of final skill test
  • Fixed one case in third step of final skill test where success counted as failure and vice-versa
  • Final step of final skill test now has the correct stat during astronaut selection
  • The Vladagar now recognize if you have different astronauts between the weigh-in and match

  • Now actually updates when you've seen the true ending
  • Fixed some weird input edge cases during true ending scene

Beta 0.5.0

A lot of very important crash/soft lock fixes with this one, with a focus on controller input and endgame progression.

Critical Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash in the event selection algorithm that had a chance to occur after about 15 hours of play
  • Fixed a number of soft locks dealing with menu transitions, especially the system menu and mapestry
  • Fixed crash when viewing traits of an astronaut with skill knowledge unusually high or low
  • Fixed one particularly secret item not appearing in the inventory after being unlocked

Balance

  • Increased Porpoise Bay mission difficulty a bit
  • Changed Glory-based achievements to be actually achievable
  • Rebalanced a lot of postgame rewards to be more affordable

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed ASEs not giving nearly enough Glory
  • You can now open the system menu while viewing the mapestry
  • Lion's postgame dialogue no longer treats failure as success and vice-versa
  • Sorted out some eccentricities with new trait hex selection

Balance

Beta Patch 0.3.2

Mostly graphical fixes today, plus one critical bug solved:

  • Fixed soft lock when opening system menu and immediately choosing to exit the game
  • Fixed some logic errors in the parade - a few with the TV Drama mission and a few about mentioning astronaut traits
  • Fixed bug where multiple calendar pages can be highlighted at once (I think, hard to recreate)
  • Prevented main menu buttons from showing mouseover states when transitioning onto or off of the screen
  • Changed rocket in ASE to more accurately reflect steps remaining (i.e. last step says 0)
  • Fixed inconsistency in ASE results screen where some mission-specific failures wouldn't show up

Patch 0.3.1


  • Fixed recently introduced glitch causing portraits to update incorrectly when astronauts talk with other characters on the phone
  • Fixed bug where adding temporary traits (e.g. injuries) to an astronaut could rarely remove other traits, which could cause crashes
  • Injuries that occur during random events now reset stress to 0, like injuries during training
  • "Times in space" in the "What Have You Done?" screen will now count correctly (though just for launches from now on, not ones from previous patches)
  • Fixed continuity errors that could occur when sacrificing an astronaut in another dimension

Patch: Beta 0.3.0

Thanks to everyone who has reported bugs, in the #bug-reports channel and elsewhere. We've got a ton of important fixes this time!

  • Fixed major issue where seeing a mission mapestry disabled the system menu button
  • Updated training so that you can train up to 20 levels in a given stat (up from 9), to fit with current balance
  • Added more facial expressions to phone events
  • Fixed weird "jump" in portraits during phone dialogue lines (most notable in Porpoise Bay map narration)
  • Fixed rare crash when having a breakdown during training
  • Fixed crash when breaking a strike in space
  • Fixed possible soft lock when using a controller to buy an item in the postgame
  • Lots of typos, visual fixes, and other minor bugs

  • Fixed rare crash when roulette wheel landed on an exceedingly unlikely critical outcome
  • Fixed bug that could prevent missions from properly unlocking after a playthrough after saving/loading in the time between the mission and launch
  • Fixed bug causing phantom "Continue Game" from appearing when exiting/loading immediately after completing a playthrough
  • Made it so random events can upgrade your training, even if you haven't unlocked the ability to buy upgraded training from the store, because it was a bummer otherwise
  • Fixed various typos and small graphical glitches
