Greetings, a quick update has just been deployed; main changes are:

  • Fixed a bug where the blue barrier didn't disappear after activating the three cutscenes at library.

  • Fixed a bug where the freezing wasn't paused at certain cutscenes.

  • Updated collisions at some maps

    Now you can check each map objectives at your inventory by pressing I.

Greetings! Beta version was just updated to 2.4.1, major changes include:

Changes and adjustments

Postprocess settings have been set to High by default at game start, adjust or disable if you have low performance when playing (mostly on old hardware)

Player will no longer die at "highjump" platforms of the Mountains map. When falling from a platform player respawns at the top and can start jumping again

Adjusted visual and sound effect when sprinting and when exhausted. Also no longer running sound is heard while player is not running (when Sprint key is pressed but energy is too low to run)

LOD's have been rebuilt and activated at remaining levels

2nd procedural maze has been removed for now

Added Boston harbor's market scenery

Added new 3D Models (fossils, scenery, terrain, characters, items...)

Major bugs fixed

Fixed a bug where keys weren't opening doors properly at Mountains map

Fixed a bug where the cave wasn't collapsing once you had taken the fossil

Fixed a bug where morse code wasn't stopping after message was read

Fixed a bug where same NPC was appearing 2 times in the same map

Fixed a bug where it was snowing inside the cabin

Fixed a bug where some texts weren't appearing on screen

Fixed a bug where the player was still freezing while watching some cutscenes

Fixed a bug where Danforth was repeating his sentence annoyingly at Lake's Camp

Aside from lots of minor changes and fixes: shorten first cutscene, changes in lighting of some scenes, adjusted timing of a few texts, changes and improvements on some textures, adjustments on a few cutscenes, updated credits...

Update Patch 2.3.1



New Hotfix update has been released for Beta version 2.3.1, major changes include:

-Resolution default value shown has changed to 1920×1080: If you have never changed the resolution, default resolution shown at the checkbox is not necessarily the one being actually used. By default the game uses always the desktop resolution at launch.

-New cinematics for first “flashback” inside the cave for better understanding of history and to look better

-Fixed walking animation speeds of several npc

-Dyer talking animation fixed to look less robotic

-Text fix: reduced the text font in the names shown above the heads of the npc

-New ambient lighting and fog effects to enhance the environmental cold

-Added water caustic visual effects for greater realism and because it is very cool:)

Update Log

Updated Freezing Mechanic:
-Now freezing will only affect stamina and movement speed.
-Fixed snow effect over player character as player freezes.
-Updated freezing visual effect: the effect of freezing now gradually appears on the screen as the player freezes and provides a visual indication
-Fixed overlap of the freezing effect so that the player can always use the inventory without problems.
-Updated player character movement & collision to make it more fluid.
Flashlight updates:
-Fixed flashlight flickering when batteries are running low.
-Fixed battery recharging system.
-Reload text fixed: now the text shows when the batteries are about to run out and when you try to use the flashlight without batteries
-Updated Boston Harbor map gameplay to leave clearer that the player has found his crew members. Added Harbor cinematic
-Fixed an error on Harbor map where “E” where still appearing on the map when player has already found his crew members.
-Updated Cave map gameplay for a smoother experience:
Now hammer and chisel are not (at least not for the moment) required to extract the fossil at the cave.
-TNT use isn’t required inside the cave.
-Fixed NPC animations and movement speed updated: some were too slow and others were running for no apparent reason
-Added NPC name texts above their heads
-Fixed Burning fire/damage:
Smaller fire damage range.
-Prevent burning more than once at a time
-Aside from lots of minor fixes and updates such as dates and other texts, timings of some texts that couldn’t be read, some objects in the world, updated LODs, blocking volumes updated…

Beta updated to v2.2



At the Mountains of Madness Early Access Beta is updated to v2.2, this new update comes with tons of new content and fixes, making the game a bit more extensive and much more playable for now. There are still so much work to do but you can see the direction the game is taking by playing this update, hope you like it.
