Update 1.3.3

Suit up! Now you can enforce law and order with a new outfit. It’s up for you to decide whether it is style over substance or vice versa. This update brings two new features to the game!




  • New police uniform available! German police forces introduced a new uniform that is giving them higher visibility when they’re on duty. You can switch between the legacy and the new uniform at the locker room in the police station.
  • You can finally experience the game in a more original way by choosing to have German voice-overs for any written language! Just go into the audio options and make the switch!

Also, as always, we’ve improved the game at all ends!

Bugfixes



  • Observation marker in UI is no longer going out of bounds.
  • Leaving the vehicle is now prohibited during parts of car chases and street cleanups.
  • World map cursor snapping has been made more concise.
  • Hitting debris on the road in street cleanup missions no longer breaks the mission when it’s cancelled.
  • A lot of small and medium issues with text display have been fixed, especially for languages like Turkish and Chinese.
  • There is now a little more time available for catching the cows in mission ā€œAnimal Road Hazardā€.
  • Shooting challenge starting countdowns no longer have a lag before gameplay starts.
  • ATV traffic control task for fourth Off-Road rank is now correctly counting valid traffic controls.
  • The duration of the vehicle repairing cutscene has been shortened.

Update 1.3.2

This small update brings some stability improvements mostly for the recently released Off-Road DLC.
Below you find the most important changes:

Bugfixes



  • [Off-Road] During Dog Tracking events the vehicle will no longer switch to a lower LOD while Dexter is leaving the vehicle
  • [Off-Road] Moved trees out of the way during a cutscene in ā€œThe Snake Nestā€
  • [Off-Road] Dexter is no longer disappearing prematurely during a cutscene in ā€œThe Snake Nestā€
  • Vehicle turning indicators will no longer be stuck in a ā€œonā€ state after certain cutscenes
  • Radiator grill blue light (for vehicles that support it) will no longer be stuck enabled after certain cutscenes

Off-Road now available

It’s finally time for a new story! The anticipated DLC Off-Road is now available to play. Track down suspects and bring them to justice with the help of the keen sense of your loyal four-legged partner. Navigate through off-road terrain driving the brand-new police vehicle and chase down criminals, who's trying to evade the law! It's still up to you to keep the autobahn safe!

  • A new storyline split over multiple missions awaits you. You can start the first mission by driving to the green star marker on the map. Some of the missions also contain new gameplay elements.
  • The new mission type ā€œDog Trackingā€ lets you search for missing persons or hiding criminals together with Dexter, the police dog. Dog Tracking missions become unlocked during the Off-Road story. They can be accessed via the mission board in the police department as usual, and you will get the occasional radio call.
  • A new police vehicle which is better suited for the new offroad tracks in the world is now waiting for you to be unlocked – the ATV! This vehicle is also the only one that has a kennel for your new furry best friend and is a requirement to play Dog Tracking missions.
  • Two completely new vehicles - the Rhino Wayfarer and Roamer Ferocity - are now appearing in the world.
  • Two additional accident cases.
  • Special off-road car chases through the wilderness.
  • Stacking stone towers is a new leisure activity – you can find several locations in the western parts of the world with suitable stones for building cairns. Stack them all for a reward!
  • 11 new achievements are awarded for the progress in the Off-Road campaign.

Update 1.3.1

Apart from the release of the Off-Road DLC, we're also pushing out some improvements to the main game with this update.
Below you find the most important changes:

Gameplay



  • In mission ā€œHoldupā€ you can no longer exit the vehicle while driving to the gas station.
  • The Observation gameplay got an update. Now the distance you must keep to the observed vehicle depends on its speed. This means you need to stay closer on slower speeds and farther away on higher speeds.


Bugfixes



  • Fixed some positioning errors and visible door interaction points on the red van in mission ā€œTick-tockā€.
  • Fixed player vehicle teleporting to a garage in the old part of the world after 100% damage instead of choosing one which is nearer in the new world.
  • Fixed rear lights on the police van not lighting up while driving backwards.
  • Fixed a potential blocker in mission ā€œUnder Surveillanceā€ which could happen after talking to the gapers at the start of the mission.
  • Fixed missing drivers & number plates in cutscenes at the end of ā€œRoadblockā€ missions.
  • Fixed health of enemies not resetting properly after restarting missions of type ā€œHoldupsā€.
  • Fixed speedometer HUD not updating if you directly switch from an activated right blinker to the left blinker.


Improvements



  • Improved the rank task display on the Progression page. Progress numbers for rank tasks are now larger and better readable.
  • The mission marker for vehicles, for example in car chases and observations is now above the vehicles instead directly on the vehicle.
  • Updated moving animations for shooting missions. Now there is a much smoother movement while walking and aiming at the same time.

Update 1.3.0

Have you ever thought of visiting places you’ve never been? In Major Update 1.3.0 you can, because the gaming world is expanding: there are new areas available on the map for you to explore and some of our procedural missions will be spawned there for you to solve.

Additional to the new world we again have made technical improvements, squashed bugs, and tweaked some aspects of the gameplay. Have fun patrolling the Autobahn and feel free to share your opinions after playing the game!

Gameplay




  • The game world has gotten larger with this update. To the west of the map there are now some new areas available for you to explore and it can happen that missions like Roadblocks, Accidents, Car Chases, Street Cleanups and Holdups are triggered in the new parts of the world.
  • From now on, exiting the vehicle while driving towards a mission is in most cases locked.
  • If you drive to a mission of type ā€œRoadblockā€ there will now be some additional radio calls on the way.
  • Improved placement of mission target and other police vehicles in various locations for missions of type ā€œRoadblockā€
  • Changed Aim-Assist calculation to have a smother snapping to the targets.
  • It now can happen that the weather is foggy if you start a game.




Bugfixes




  • Fixed various issues with lights on drivable vehicles being no longer switchable after cutscenes.
  • Fixed hazard flashers blinking asynchronously if started while turning indicator was active.
  • Fixed a potential crash if the fire extinguisher was not put back into the trunk in mission ā€œDanger of Explosion!ā€ and the mission was canceled.
  • Fixed a potential Softlock if the driven vehicle in mission ā€œOut of Controlā€ reached 100% damage and retry was selected in the following popup.
  • Fixed cursor snapping to invisible fast travel icons on map when a gamepad is used.
  • Fixed a formatting issue in dialogue choices which prevented the proper translation of text placeholders in languages like Spanish or French.
  • Fixed a blocker caused by opening the pause menu just before the failure screen for being defeated in a shooting range appeared, returning to the game, and then continuing with yes.
  • Fixed bus driver in mission ā€œTick-tockā€ sometimes disappearing.
  • Fixed wrongly counting invalid arrests for rank tasks in which you need to make arrests.
  • Fixed recorded speed check result not being acknowledged as an offense in the Traffic Stop debriefing if the driver was speeding.




Improvements




  • Improved placement of controller icons in photo mode for PS5 Dual Shock controller on PC/PS5.
  • Various memory optimizations to improve stability.
  • Some small animator updates to improve animator performance.
  • Fixed switching from mouse + keyboard to controller and back in Document Checks in Traffic Controls leads to not being able to control the cursor with the mouse anymore.

Update 1.2.4

We're excited to announce the release of update 1.2.4! This is a small update, but it contains a list of stability and performance improvements and two important changes!

First, we've improved the way vehicles are maneuvered. You should now feel more comfortable keeping vehicles on the road. We've heard your complains and like to know your opinion on this improvement!



The second large change is that we changed the way you interact with objects in your vehicles trunk. From now on, you no longer have to pick the objects directly from the trunk - which could be a bit cumbersome - but instead we've replaced the whole interaction with a radial menu, where you can easily choose what you need.

Gameplay



  • Added an additional dialogue to mission ā€œDanger of Explosionsā€ which warns you if you try to put the fire extinguisher too close to the fire.
  • We improved the shooting AI to be more performant and updated the general behavior to respond to some additional events during shooting.
  • We added a new selection menu for the vehicle trunk. You can now quickly select any item from an easily accessible radial menu. The menu opens when you interact with the trunk door of your vehicle.
  • The player can now walk faster while carrying items in Street Cleanup missions.
  • We updated the used items in Street Cleanup missions. From now on it is guaranteed that at least one large item is spawned. This is to make it more obvious as of why it is important to keep the streets clean.
  • Improved the flow of accident cases where a check like resting times is needed to get a confession. From now on it doesn’t matter anymore in which order you conduct tests and checks, and you will never ā€œlooseā€ the potential to get the correct confession if the driver wants to give one.
  • The vehicle controls got a further upgrade to improve the handling of all vehicles.
  • The vehicle selection in the garage is now disabled when the player is not allowed to switch or enter a vehicle.

Bugfixes



  • Fixed an issue with the ā€œSnaredā€ achievement not correctly triggering if you had already more than 10 done car chases.
  • Fixed emergency signals and WeNiPol matrix not working properly on the Police Van.
  • Fixed a Softlock in Shooting Range where it could happen that the character controls are locked after canceling the mission.
  • Fixed a rarely occurring application freeze if you try to use the Action Menu on an Autobahn interchange to stop a car or measure speed if no vehicle is near you.
  • Fixed a potential Softlock if you try to use the accident evidence camera during a dialogue.
  • Fixed an issue with the paramedics in ā€œBroken Down Carā€ missions which caused the RTW to sometimes move around weirdly.
  • Fixed an issue in mission ā€œThe Last Raceā€ where it could happen that Heiko drove out of the world.
  • Fixed vehicle outlines having wrong colors in Car Chases, Traffic Controls and Observation missions.
  • Fixed an issue with applying vehicle performance upgrades after loading a game which could cause the vehicle to not use the proper upgraded values until you switched to another vehicle and back again.
  • Fixed an issue with missing vehicle and companion when continuing a game save.
  • Fixed an issue with the ghost traffic cone being displayed in accidents if you enter the zone for placing traffic cones without any traffic cones in hand.
  • Fixed usage of wrong icons in debriefings for some missions. Successful bonus tasks will be displayed with a checkmark from now on.
  • Fixed a rare situation when player may get stuck in chairs in missions of type Hold-Ups.
  • Fixed hand position on steering wheel for female characters.
  • Fixed player marker doesn't disappear after player reaches it.
  • Fixed an issue with NPCs sometimes spawning inside of guiderails in Procedural Accidents.

Improvements



  • Optimized memory usage in various systems to free up some memory. This will increase stability especially on weaker hardware.
  • General performance improvements in various missions.
  • Improved various animations in the game.
  • Improved interior model of the police van.

Update 1.2.3

We are excited to announce the release of Update 1.2.3 (and yes, this actually is the version number)! As the other updates, this one is again addressing performance and delivers various gameplay improvements. A lot of the issues that have been reported are fixed now - but if you find that an issue you reported hasn't been addressed yet, feel free to comment or join the discussion on our Discord!

Apart from the improvements to performance and bugfixes, the most noticeable change is the introduction of the Aim Assist feature for shooting missions. It's enabled by default, but you can jump into the game settings and disable it if you feel that you want to keep the extra challenge without Aim Assist.



Aim Assist helps you to aim more precisely when playing with a gamepad. It works by snapping the crosshair to the target when the crosshair is at close distance to the target you're aiming at. This allows you to target and track enemies precisely with ease.

Gameplay




  • Added Aim Assist for shooting missions while playing with controller. Aim Assist can be toggled on or off in the options menu.
  • In shooting missions, enemies now have a faster patrol cycle and move slightly faster if they were alarmed at least once by the player.
  • Adjusted AI difficulty for mission ā€œUndercover Investigationā€ to increase the odds of completing it.
  • Added number of total fast travel points to the statistic.
  • Changed some dialogue options in ā€œProcedural Accidentā€ missions to prevent multiple confessions from the perpetrator in the case caused by excessive speed and added the option to select the made confession even if no evidence for it was found.


Bugfixes




  • Fixed warning vest for civil cloths of player showed ā€œPolizeiā€ caption.
  • Fixed a possible soft lock occurring in mission ā€œUnder Surveillanceā€ after the intro cutscene finished. It occurred only randomly on different hardware configurations. We added a safeguard which prevents the game from getting stuck.
  • Fixed a bug in mission ā€œDanger of Explosion!ā€ which caused the rescued victims not being counted correctly if you saved some of them, failed the mission and then retried it.
  • Fixed some characters not looking at the correct points of interest in dialogues.
  • Fixed a positioning error in the interrogation cutscene in mission ā€œThe Last Raceā€ which caused the smart phone to be moved on its own.
  • Fixed gloves of player character being influenced by the accident securing scene. Now they do not get colored yellow anymore.
  • Fixed some clipping issues with player clothes.
  • Fixed an error in the logic of the accident case for the stone thrower which caused the conclusion of the accident not being correctly registered.
  • Fixed a randomly occurring bug which could cause the vehicles in missions of type ā€œBroken Down Carsā€ to be flipped upside down.
  • Fixed rank task for completing ā€œHold Upā€ missions accidentally also counting failed tasks.
  • Fixed a bug in ā€œTraffic Controlsā€ of buses which could prevent some of the fine reasons to be registered properly.
  • Fixed radio call for two involved vehicles in ā€œProcedural Accidentsā€ plays even if there is only one vehicle involved.


Improvements




  • Improved camera positioning in ā€œBroken Down Carā€ missions.
  • Improved lighting in rest stops.
  • Adjusted police vehicle lights for the different times of day, especially at dawn some of the lights were too bright.
  • Improved some menu transitions especially from the options menu back to the main menu and in the challenge mission board.
  • Improved streaming of audio sources to reduce the used memory at runtime.
  • PC Only: added VSync to graphics options.
