In-game changes:

We are now working on a larger optimisation update, which involves all outdoor areas. We will need a minimum of 15 days to develop it. This update should enable players with older rigs to get better a better frame rate in the said areas.

Combat

We would like to highlight the combat movement in Avenging Angel.

The STRAFING and DODGING were not part of EA, and when we brought those along, we, based on the feedback from the test players, thought that the game was too easy. The strafing and dodging enabled test players to "dance" around the melee enemies, at least in bigger environment, without receiving one single hit.

As we listened to feedback, it became pretty obvious, that this wasn't the whole truth. There are clearly those who wish for a more casual experience and then those who really enjoy a more hard-core on-the-edge-of-your-seat experience.

The default game mode is now "normal" as before, but it denotes an easier game. "Hard" is now the difficulty level the game was released with and intended to be played.

- The default difficulty level has been now set to “Casual”, and the “Hard” mode must be activated from the main menu.
- In the beginning of the game, the cutscene when landing to the platform at the outpost, some players have experienced a frame drop when the save system updates the save file. This is most likely due to antivirus application checking the autosave write process. This is now concealed.
- A new weapon can now be crafted in the beginning of the game. The blueprint and ALL the necessary ingredients can be found at the Outpost.
- Workbench functions are now updated and weapon crafting bug, that some players experienced, is now fixed. The ESC/B-button will now force the workbench GUI to close, regardless of input scheme.
- Statue Forest Turnstile platforming is now made easier.
- Player character damage input system and player character damage indicator in Goggle Glass is updated.

Full Release

Avenging Angel has now been fully released.

Thank you each and every one of you who have supported us throughout the years.

We are painfully aware that this took a lot longer than we anticipated, but we have essentially redone the entire game. That means all graphical assets, animations, foley, and music. Everything. We brought in a lot of new features such as status effects, a lot more varied weapons, new enemies, and new areas.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the game.

(Finnish) Independence Day Update

Today is the Finnish Independence Day, which pretty much means that the entire country is shut down for the festivities.

Anyhoo, we have posted some new content on Avenging Angel Facebook today. The biggest thing in that particular in-game content is that certain crafting recipes can be unlocked by "reading" posters and adds. Enemy weak spots can be also scoped from reading "R&D"-documentation.
