I just wanted to clarify that the relative lack of updates recently should not be taken as a sign that the game is no longer being worked on! On the contrary, I have been working on something much bigger and more complex than previous updates, which is therefore taking a lot longer to complete: an interior view with a fully 3D modeled cockpit, with working instruments and displays! Below, you can find a work-in-progress preview of the model:
Early Access - Week 42
Hello!
For week 42, we have two new skins:
Clean: A completely white, unpainted aircraft with accentuated bodywork lines.
Lightning: A jet black livery with very noticeable bodywork lines painted in white.
Early Access - Week 40
Hello!
This week, we have a complete revamp of the game's difficulty progression, mostly concerning the Hard and Ace difficulties.
The Ace difficulty is now solely dedicated to tracks that require super-maneuverability/thrust vectoring. All the tracks from Ace that did not require it were moved to Hard, and all the tracks from Hard that required it were moved to Ace.
Since super-maneuverability is so different to normal flight and unintuitive at first, even to experienced pilots, it seemed to make sense to isolate it on its own difficulty, since it probably represents a bigger leap in difficulty than anything else.
Furthermore, all the game's tracks have been reordered to what is hopefully a more sensible difficulty progression.
Early Access - Week 39
Hello!
For week 39, we have one new skin:
Vector: The red, white and blue livery of another legendary thrust vectoring research aircraft!
Early Access - Week 38
Hello!
For week 38, we have one new skin:
Active: The red, white and blue livery of a legendary thrust vectoring research aircraft.
Early Access - Week 37
Hello!
For week 37, we have a few small additions and fixes:
Additions: - New Skin - Evo: A black, white and red skin based on the livery of a famous record breaking race car.
Fixes: - Photo Mode's rotation and translation speed are dependent on the current field of view - should make it easier and more comfortable to work with very small FOVs.
Early Access - Week 36
Hello!
For week 36, we have a few small additions and fixes:
Additions: - New Skin - Original: This simple skin is a recreation of the very first skin used during development of the game, before any real texture had been made.
Fixes: - Fixed glitch that prevented the correct texture to be loaded onto the plane's engines for certain skins. - Photo Mode now automatically hides the interface when taking pictures.
Early Access - Week 35
Hello!
We are finally back with more updates! For week 35 of Early Access, we have a new feature:
- Photo Mode: Pause the game at any time during gameplay or replays and open Photo Mode! It allows you to freely move the camera, adjust the field of view and save pictures from the game to your computer as .png files.
Please note that Photo Mode utilizes its own controls. Due to the way the game saves your control settings, all the Photo Mode controls will be unassigned if you have played the game before and saved your control settings. Please assign them on your own or simply use the button "Restore Defaults" on the Controls Settings screen.
Early Access - Week 29
Hello!
For week 29 of Early Access, we have a few changes:
Changes
- Rebalanced medal times for Hard and Ace tracks to be more in line with Easy and Medium tracks. - New instructional replay for Ace track "Free Falling" to reflect new strategy for getting Gold Medal.
Early Access - Week 28
Hello!
For week 28 of Early Access, we have one new track:
Parking Lot (Medium): A flat, race car inspired track that will have you skimming the ocean all the way through!
As always, this track should appear as normal on the track select screen as soon as the game is updated.
The game also recently received its second mod, a fantastic new plane skin by Vimlad! Click here to check it out!
