This patch bundles a JRE with the game executable so you can play Axion without Java installed on your computer.
Here is the patch for Axion. Just extract the patch file into "steamapps\common\Axion", overwriting the old Axion.exe
You can then uninstall Java from your computer and the game will still work.
If you don't have java installed when you purchase the game and do not want to install it, use this patch instead.
These files may be included in an official patch after which it will not be necessary to use the .zip file linked here. I will post another announcement if / when this happens.
Thank you all in the community who provided the feedback that inspired this patch.
Adjusted medium through lowest video presets to achieve higher frame rates on low end PCs.
Fixed destructible buildings improperly affected by max draw distance.
Hotfix: V 1.15.52
In V 1.15.50, the 'low' and 'lowest' video presets were causing a crash to desktop due to a compatibility issue with the new rock formations. The presets have been reconfigured.
If you used these settings in the past:
In the launcher, go to video settings and choose a preset before you start the game. This will ensure you are not using an outdated preset.
The presets are stored in steamapps\common\Axion\Graphics_INI. If you have any further issues, delete this folder and verify the game cache. This will force Steam to download the new presets.

More improvements for AI. (Most noticeable changes will be human enemies with ranged weapons)
More improvements for AI spawn system:
Some areas of the map wil be populated with enemies while others are not. A certain percentage of the map will always have enemies present. These areas which are populated change over time (~ every 5 minutes). This is in response to feedback concerning the overall difficulty of the game. When choosing the low enemy count option from the in game menu, there will be very little AI present throughout the map. AI spawned in by missions are not affected.
Increased rarity of sword wielding AI.
