Voiced Dub is Complete!

Hey all! After several weeks of working with some very talented creators and voice artists, we have put together a voiced playthrough of what I consider to be "Chapter 1" of the game's story. Make sure to follow them if you've enjoyed their portrayals in this dub!

Small update - July 27th

Reuploaded build to adjust for missing chunks, such as:

  • Certain shopkeepers not selling quest items when the quest is active (3 quests).
  • Some NPCs not spawning in after reaching a set point in time (4 NPCs).
  • Certain common events lacking an OFF trigger, causing a loop (2 events).

Beta 1.2 Patch - July 23rd


  • Clarified and fixed the wording on the Sin Tendency popup.
  • Retouched Dariah's gravestone.

Beta 1.1 Patch - July 22nd


  • Fixed a bug in which the character would get stuck in the dark area around the Witch's Hut.
  • Fixed screen shake in the Margaery's Game quest.

Full Release: Beta 1.0 Patch!

Hello everybody! We have finally, after a year and a half in early access, released Azarine Heart fully to the public!

We are also releasing the Beta 1.0 build along with our full release. Check out the patch notes below!

  • Several quests have been updated to be more clear in their journal entries.
  • The day/night cycle has been tweaked to be more consistent and the tinting mechanism that works alongside it is now fully working.
  • Dilos' models have been reworked.
  • Combat has had a final rework to feel smoother and more responsive.


Thank you all so much for joining us in our early access journey! We hope that you have had as much fun as we have throughout the last year, and I'm eager to see all the new players discovering the rich world of Acadia, and its quirky characters that will make you never want to leave.

Alpha 1.6.3 Patch - July 19th

Fixing the last few bugs before launch!
- Tinting for day/night is finally consistent.
- Some unpassable tiles are now passable.
- Updated notebook entries to include new graphics.

Alpha 1.6.0 Patch - July 3rd

Not just a graphical overhaul this time!
I spent some time working more on enemy balance, especially in smaller maps such as Trollskull Camp, where you could easily be overwhelmed by fast enemies before.
Affected areas include:

  • Trollskull Camp, as mentioned
  • Snapditch Cave
  • Cragfoot Cave
  • Camp Rolston
  • And many, many more!

Full Release Delay: Summer Sale

Hello everybody, and let me start off by apologizing to everyone that was looking forward to the full release.

After reviewing sales for the Summer Event, and really digging deep into the best time to release, we have decided not to release today as intended before. Steamworks has advised not just us, but all indie game developers to delay their releases because of the sale.

The lack of exposure and poor release times can sink a game, and I'd love for everyone to get a shot at playing Azarine Heart. We will be delaying the release for a few days, and release on July 19th officially. This will give us enough time to wait for the summer sale to finish and let us do any more bug fixing and playtesting that might be required to make sure this launch is as smooth as possible.

For anyone that hasn't seen it: we are also doing an official dubbed playthrough of the game, and will be adding some voices to the game itself to celebrate the full release. More details can be found at the game's Twitter page!
